View Full Version : start raid timers on completion

Instead of starting a raid timer when you turn in the quest to get your end reward, why not start the raid timer as soon as the raid completes?

This has two benefits:
1) players will no longer have to wait an extra 3 days if they happen to forget to get their turn-in reward.
2) at least some of the recurring exploits that allow people to bypass raid timers would be eliminated by this change.

Starting the timer on quest completion is how Epic quests work, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make raids work that way too.

Which makes me think it's technically unfeasible somehow.

Still, for what it's worth, /signed.

Sure, why not sign on to this? Anything that gets us back into Shroud a little faster is OK by me.

As a regular forgetter-of-turn-ins, dear gods, yes.

I have NEVER (so far lol) forgoton to turn in a raid, but I agree this will make it much better, especially when you just finished that ToD and want to run to eVon6 asap. /death will be an option now!

Sounds like a good idea to me. No more people that forgot to turn Shroud in 3 days ago and are on timer because of it.

This would also help static groups that are on fixed schedule (like mine).
No more waiting for a whole week because someone forgot to pick up a velah/chrono reward.

I'm sure I've seen this pop up before...

... and /signed !

The whole mechanism is there to prevent multiple runs within a few days of eachother. It doesn't have to be on turn-in. But as someone has alluded to, it might be more complicated that way.
