Just wondering if anyone did up a quick summary of the crafting system anywhere online, I can't seem to find any, and I hate to trawl through a dozen pages just to get my answer.

Ddowiki has a fair amount

Take randomly generated item.

Choose one: prefix, suffix, enhancement bonus or item blank (for crafting) itself.

Destroy item to gain one of the above.

Make shard (prefix or suffix) and attach to item blank.

The more powerful the prefix or suffix the more parts it will take.

If you want a real answer I'd advise DDOwiki....because none of us want to type all the stuff there out again for people who cant be bothered to check.

Right, will check DDOwiki again ... must've missed it somewhere. No link to the U9 details either on the main page. But all the same, thanks everyone.

the cliff notes should read as follows: if you don't want to spend a lot of time with this, ignore it completely.

ultimately, if you're not willing to make a large investment (of both time and random loot), then the new crafting system is not for you.

some people never think to look in "In Development"
But if it's Lamannia, then you can find most of the information you seek there , well at least some ;)
I would have thought tho a search there would had found it even if anyone didn't know to look/peek in In Development

Break down items; either make them craftable, take their quality or ONE power.
Get a very arbitrary amount of essences
After breaking down hundreds of item realize that you probably have to grind quests for more or buy essences from the TP store.
Make tons of shards; BTC. So realistically you can only make items for one guy.
Note that most good stuff clash because theyre all prefixes or suffixes.
Note that one good shard can require 1k small essences and you get 30 at the most from breaking down a item.
Find out that this is considered a BETA product at release and that major balancing will happen in the future.
Other than that it's awesome (slight sarcasm).

hmmm one thing I didn't see on the DDOWiki article - if I attune a random loot item for crafting with RR, does the RR still remain on the item?

No it doesn't, the only thing that remains is metal properties and any guild slots

Someone was doing a recipe list but can't find the thread.
I just bookmarked the link to the list:

Can someone find this thread for reference?

Hey ,

I saw this post the other day about bound and attuned items retaining their stone of change properties after being made craftable. The testers did not go further with the item and perform other rituals. So not quite the answer to your question. But I wouldn't rule out the possibility

Yeah that was me that went to a Broker bought a Belt , then went to stone of Change and just did the Bound and Attune, then went to the crafting Hall to Disjunction, it retained the Bound and Attune, but I never did any thing further . Like any other rituals before doing the .Disjunction. I'll need to see if I have enough collectibles to actually add anything , I'll check tonight and see if I can add something . If I do I'll go ahead and do the steps again and see what happens, it'll be something simple and easy. I won't do the Adamantine ritual, but will do the Eldritch Ritual. Will that work for you ?
If you can access Lamannia you could test this out your self ;)

Posting pics in a new thread, but the answer is that while bound and attuned stays the alchemical ritual does not
