Let's go strait to the ideas:

Idea no. 1:

Longer Ships buff. Let’s say:

First hour is for free (Just like now it is)
Additional 30 min will cost you: 10 plat / character level
Maximum long Ship Buff: 3 hours.

Longer House buff. Let’s say:

First half hour cost you same as today (10/30/50 plat)
Every additional 15 min will cost you the same (10/30/50 plat)
Maximum long: 90 min.

Idea no. 2:

Lottery! Let’s say:

Once a day there is drawing of lots
Everyone can buy as much lots as they want
Price of one lot: 20 plat
The winner gets:

1000 plat
plat from half of sold lots
Two random crafting shards (prefix and suffix) (require Update 9 crafting system)

Idea no. 3:

Short term magical enhancements:

Magic Blacksmith can add enhancements to your weapons:
Additional damage +1 magic (eb. Force) dmg. Cost: 100 plat / level. This bonus can be add only once.
Additional hardness: +4. Cost: 50 plat / level. This bonus can be add twice
Additional durbality: +5. Cost: 10 plat / level. This bonus can be add 5 times.
All enhancement are stack with every other bonus
Duration: 60 min.

Any of this ideas will be cool?

For me Idea no.1 is the best one :)

Or they could just add a crafting system that uses random items to skill up 3 different crafting professions that does the following:

1) takes random items out of the game
2) uses plat to skill up
3) removes more plat from failures
5) lowers the amount of incoming plat due to skill ups (see #1)

Going to look at the glass as half full and see if this is the trick!

Add teleporters to the game (not inside airships).

People would pay good plat not to have to run from Reaver's Refuge (fly?) back to Necro IV, for example. Put Teleports who charge hefty fees to send you there quickly.

Add more bribery quests like Delera's part IV where you have to pay the NPC to continue a quest chain.

Increase the cost of repairs (though, that would also be detrimental to lower level characters).

I'd have it just be one crafting skill, but the idea does have merit.

Artificing perhaps =D

if your bluff is high enough you don't have to pay

I hear there's a new craft skill for the crafting system in u9.
Not sure what it'd cost but merely not having to vendor all the junk anymore will certainly and effectively sink some plat.

As for ideas:
1. More throwable stuff: caltrops, oil flask, tanglefoot bags, etc.
2. A public airship service, charging passage in plat. Shouldn't affect the guilds, people get invited to other ships all the time.
3. Power components for spells.
4. Temporary bags.

etc.

Increase the cost of repairs (though, that would also be detrimental to lower level characters).

You could make exponential based on the item's min level - that way the lower levels don't get shafted, and the higher levels pay a price more reflective of their uber gear.

why not have them take a % of youre plat not everyone has 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000k plat
