I'm only lvl 6 but already having some problems.
did the chronosphere with a full team. died the most next to a ranger who ran off by himself and kept repeating the process after we would rez him and kill everything else. saw other classes like a barbarian SOLO the things in there (usually when everyone else was dead, and trying to get our souls), which makes me think my build could use a lot of improvement... but perhaps its just equipment?
Tried Tangleroot by myself but only got about halfway before I gave in and payed for a hireling which made it easy in comparison but this is only in normal.
Some Giant outside tangleroot manages to almost kill me everytime. (always win so far but only barely.) his knockdowns and the pain of him being so dam big and all... it hurts dam it.

We got through chronosphere but only because of some people that are leet and tbh our first group in there failed and we restarted. (four people with the old group stayed including myself.) and even our leet second group wiped at the dragon but then we owned when we came back in. I always stayed with the group but still died a lot... still I was intimidating even so, because better me than the clerics right (they would die even faster if the aggro was on them... sometimes it was.)? Also since I was missing I turned off power attack for most things... I'm really thinking about investing into spring attack since I'm always chasing down some monster going for our squishes or perhaps shooting fireballs of pain...

at any rate because I'm newish i'm wondering if maybe I should just forego this and go something even more DPS oriented than this TH fighter kensai and kersnaps try a barbarian for longer/more often rages and since I don't think my ac is meaningful just go all out DPS+Dr from barb... atm my equipment is infernal armor (dropped from raid.) gem of many facets (also from raid), protectors gloves, Belt of +3 constitution (reward from tangleroot), Troubleshooters boots, ring that gives me 5% faster running + jumping. Ring of +2 resistances (some cool guy gave this to me.), My 2H greataxe is only the flaming starter weapon... buying a +4 in the AH atm.

I won't call that a bad build, but it definitely isn't newbie friendly.

You've got a rogue splash solely for UMD, but a newb won't know what to UMD and it won't benefit them until high levels. It doesn't benefit from any other of the yummy goodness that rogues have (traps and locks, evasion).

You've got a barb splash for rage, but the rage lasts only a minute and you only have one. When would you use it? A newb won't know.

I'd recommend archiving this guy and rolling a basic 2HF barbarian or fighter. Much easier and easily just as good or better in DPS if a tiny bit less versatile.

I would suggest make a pure barb or pure fighter dps its ur choice as you are new dont have experience how to play multiclass can get your build go wrong forget about chronoscope focus on main pure class when you have enough experience you can go for multiclass

It is not a bad build...My guess is you just need some better equipment. Don't feel bad about have a tough time in Chronoscope. It is a tough quest for LVl 6. If you can complete Chrono a couple more times, you can get some good loot to help improve the gear of this toon. Look for the charged Gauntlets and the Hellstroke Great Axe from Chronoscope. Those two Items will help your damage output immensely. Add a couple more items Like the cloak and bracers from that quest and you will get a strength bonus amongh other things when all three are equipped.

You might have an easier time running a pure class build like the previous poster suggested, but don't give up on this toon. I think you can make it work with a little patience.

I agree w/ all the previous posters, it's a decent build but maybe not newbie friendly enough for a first time character.

With time you will learn how to move when fighting to avoid being hit and how to move to hit the enemy for more damage (flanking). How to use "trip" and "sunder" and any other moves you get. Also the timing of things like your haste boost.

And I'd say the main thing I see is that your starter weapon is your biggest downfall at the moment. It just can't dish out enough DPS to kill the mobs fast enough. Other equipment is important on a melee character, but your weapon is the number 1 most important (unless an intimi-tank I guess).

Welcome to the game and have fun! :)

Edit to add: As to a hireling, I call my hireling a babysitter. :D My fighter can drink cure serious pots for days and not heal herself up very well, the hireling is much, much cheaper and more effcient. I see nothing wrong with having a hireling along to babysit a melee character. To me, this does not mean you have a weak character.

It's not a bad build per se; in fact I came up with something similar (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=3212017&postcount=3) several months ago. But it is a build which sacrifices DPS (both while leveling and at endgame) for UMD, +10% run speed, and a single use of Rage (plus a couple other barb enhs). In particular, UMD won't pay off for the first several levels. It also had the option of going Stalwart Defender, so it can be more tank-y than DPS-y if you want (and have the gear for it).

Just to echo the advice:

Don't be too discouraged by Chronoscope. That's a hard raid to run at level, especially if you don't have the right gear and/or are running with an inexperienced PUG. In particular, having a Holy or good-aligned weapon really helps out to break DR; you can buy a flametouched iron weapon in the raid itself from a vendor in the first tavern.
Do put some effort into acquiring better gear, esp. better axes. If you keep running Chrono, you should pull a Hellstroke Axe; also, the Might of the Abishai set provides some nice buffs for such low-lvl gear (DR 10 against the 4 major elements, Charged Gauntlets add 20d10 lighting dmg to vorpal strikes, +1 profane STR & CON which stacks w/other items). If you have Delera's Tomb, try grinding it until you pull a Carnifex (http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/jgould2005/DDO/Items/Weapons/Carnifex.jpg); that'll be your best option for DPS against crittable enemies.
Until your UMD is high enough to use Cure wands (and later Heal scrolls), you'll be relying on potions & healers (either PCs or hirelings) to keep you alive. So stock up on Cure pots.
Your build could use some tweaking. E.g., you split your enhs between DPS & AC; my advice would be to go Kensai and focus on DPS; or go SD and focus on defense. Also you seem to have stopped short of max ranks in UMD; definitely go max all the way.

It's not a bad build... Maybe you just don't have the right experience to play it right? Anyway, I don't think your Barbarian level is getting you much more than running speed... I mean, Rage is good, but you only get 1, and for a single minute.

I wouldn't reroll though, just stick to it and maybe improve your gear, that might be the problem...

10% base running speed is very important. That is all ^_^.

Run part III of the Baudry series until you get a rage ring..problem solved :)

bleh, when I did the Chronoscope the first time, I pulled both the infernal armor that i'm now wearing (was wearing a +3 chain or somesuch beforehand.) and the Hellstroke axe, but being a noob I couldn't decide which was better, I saw the Spell resistance of 19 on the armor and thought that looked pretty good...

I hope I manage to do it again, and get it again... hopefully not that rare.

Been already said, but... it's not your build, it's probably just the fact you don't have good gear, and probably not much experience either.
