Oh and because I have a feeling that the majority of people will say one of the two following: A.) Druid, or B.) Fix current bugs (like there i just an easy button from staples that will magically make annoying people have nothing to whine about anymore)... Just say 'Obvious A' or 'Obvious B' in your list haha

None of the recent updates (new weapons/craftable stuff/events/etc) have had things that have been Really good for clerics, and no longswords either.

But the last one is purely selfish :)

1. More content at +17. TRing is a pain, IQ and DD are boring. Amrath gets old too but it's harder.
2. Finish Bard PrE's, finish the two "other" Rogue PrE's and make them a competitor to Assassin, make a Sorc and FvS PrE, add more Barbarian and Cleric PrE's. Just have all classes have 3 different PrE's with 3 tiers and have them be equally useful.
3. Racial PrE's, like Elven AA.
4. "Fun" epic content. Content above Amrath that is hard for reasons other than mob toughness.
5. Make HElves look better.

1. Do something to make ranged more viable. Of course I am in no way biased having just crafted and epic Thornlord . . .

2. Change the sigil flagging in Necro 4 so the quest giver offers you the pieces you need as elite end-rewards.

3. Another high-level non-epic mission pack. I had no problems getting XP in my 34-point life but I imagine a 36-point life might get a little painful after the Vale.

4. Aaratrokos' story isn't done. Make "Until we meet again devil" mean something.

5. Green Steel deconstruction to fix mistakes and/or correct things that are out-dated on toons. Same to allowing us to change augments on ToD rings.

-I want to see epic gutted and revamped. Would like it to be a bit less hold monster/mash monster and more about fun.Currently epic is pretty lame. If they do not want to then i would like to see some other type of end game made.

-I want to see the devs ease up a bit on the grinding. What ever happened to the DDO that boasted about not as much of a grind fest then other games? Less grind=more fun

- Would love to see some pre's for fvs and Sorc along with others, Juggernaut always peeked my interest.

- I also think it is time we fight some Werewolves. Make them badass. make them tough. make them fight on all fours and stand up straight to duel. Only silver would break their dr. Would be pretty cool. Would love to some other original DnD monsters added as well.

And last but not least fix the Half-elf. They look uglier then Half-orc and WF combined. They are monstrosities!

Ranged combat improvements.

Each ranger automatic past life cuts down multishot cooldown timer by 10 seconds (down to a maximum of 90 seconds).
Each Deepwood Sniper or Arcane Archer tier adds 5 seconds to multishot timer (up to 35 seconds).

Arcane Archer changes:
So that you don't have to keep spending enhancement points every time new arrows are introduced, simply allow arrow types to be conjured by tier.
AA tier 1:
gives all the basic arrow types of silver, cold iron, adamantine, byeshk, etc
(tier 1 arrows would be the only ones that could be combined with other tiers; just like it works currently with House D arrows)
AA tier 2:
acid, fire arrows etc.
AA tier 3:
Slaying arrows
New Crowd Control Arrow:
Paralyze or Hold Person arrows per hit based on Dex

Deepwood sniper could get increases in crit threat range which is on permanently per tier to make it a viable alternative.

Improved Mass Intimidate
In addition to the above, all classes can get an improved mass intimidate skill (just like remove charm was introduced for casters) in order to gain the aggro of multiple enemies around a selected target.
This would work similar to current intimidate except it would not require an excessive build around Charisma to be effective. This could then allow other characters to grab the aggro off of a ranger (or caster or cleric) that draws aggro unintentionally. It would also put the aggro on the archer when she's soloing (since no one would be around to pull aggro thru the new feat)...

In addition to the above, give out more speed boosts...Fighters can get up to 12 haste attack boosts without unbalancing the game. This could possibly be accomplished just like with kensai (add an additional boost for each PrE tier).

Epic scroll drops in epic devil assault instance - the instance is already hard enough, not allowing scrolls to drop is adding insult to injury. Could nerf the drop rates of other stuff like experience and renown elixirs as well as boot/greensteel mats, epic instance should be for epic drops!

More PrE's for Clerics! So I can actually plan a build for my own cleric rather than stick to a few select choices.

what would be nice are some 7 to 10th lvl adventures f2p added. there are plenty of lower lvls, and it seems there are plenty of 10th lvls but few to none 7th lvls.

and i put this on another thread but a drop down bar for quivers so you can quick add them to your ready arrows. that way you can put quivers in a bar and flash over them to see what arrows/bolts you have so you can use that fist arrow against the skeletons.

It would be pleasant to have some more control over summoned pets..like a kind of a hireling bar, even smaller like offensive/defensive/passive position as in:
offensive : pet attacks every mobs around
defensive : pet attacks only if his master is under attacked (takes damages)
passive : pet just follow

not a big thing, but could be nice sometimes , they already put more mobs to summon, they're on the good way :P

It's quite likely Juggernaut and Dwarven Defender are coming in U9. From design director Ian Currie:


We intend to release new prestige enhancements regularly. Update 7 contains more prestige enhancements than any previous update and if all goes well, we will add a nice batch in Update 9. Our to-do list in this respect is rather long and while I can’t say when it will happen, I can confirm that the Dwarven Defender and Warforged Juggernaut are on the list.

Probably, but a little birdy told me that development is already underway for a new DDO game based on 4e anyway. Take it or leave it, you know as much as I do. Obviously the birdy must remain just that, so don't ask me to PM.

I love this game, but changing atleast 1 and 2 would make it a lot more enjoyable for me.

Either one would be nice, because it takes forever to transfer plat between characters, unless you're multi-boxing or have a friend you can trust to transfer plat around.

*Organize component vendors by level and type so I don't have to spend the extra time scrolling up and down the list looking for what I actually need
*Real customization of armor with different color choices and maybe something with spikes, meaty pauldrons or something. Plate mail should not look like an ornate skin-tight suit.
*Some higher level content with a new crafting system that isn't needlessly over-complex (Green steel I'm looking at you)
*Deconstructing green steel
*Do something about AC. I don't know what, but having 95% of level 20 characters wandering around in robes means there is a problem!
* I'm not sure if there is a fix for this but if I trip something it really should not zip around on its back for 2-3 seconds.
*Arcane spell pass.

I'm hoping henshin mystic will not suck like shintao (just because light side is eww!) and ninja spy (just doesn't suit my monk at all, being more of a hate tank than sneaker). But I'll probably have to just stick to void strikes.

I'd like to see Favoured soul prestige enhancements and some more (especially halfling!) racial prestige enhancements.
Also more (and *harder*) level 15+ quests, and more quests that drop blank greensteel ingredients... so sick of vale quests... ... also make the quests a lot harder, not by making mobs have a gazillion hit points and hit super hard, but by other means that actually require some skill to pass... maybe make epic only quests that are actually unique in some way, and difficult!

...

The game is too easy...

1) In-Game house guilds, class specific, that have pre-reqs' & specific quests & goals. With a dues, and some type of caste system. ( This should be geared towards true builds)

2) Bigger cursor.

3) Giant Hold story line continued.

4) GS deconstruction.

7) Currency in shared bank.

8) Level 15 - 18 content.

9) REAL Half Elf Magic User/ Fighter path, (like PnP)

10) Air Ship portal reverse feature, (go back to where portal was cast)

11) Augment slots for older named items, (Caroushs' Inferno ie)

12) 15 second video replay, (for those special moments)

13) Have Red named bosses like "Harry" teleport around different zones in Shroud, ToD, etc... where we have to accomplish new goals.

An improvement to the Human Versatility line. HV is superior in many respects to the related class boost. However, I often have problems fitting it into my builds leaving me with the class version instead.

Sugested Improvement....
Provide Human resirticted versions of the PRE's (hopefully it wouldn't take much more than a slight modificiation w/cut and paste.) that require a class boost.

Lower the level needed to do Epics;
1st TR: level 19
2nd TR: level 18

Also, give big exp on the epic quests, this fixes the issue with not having enough high level content, thus having less disgruntled TRs.

1) Look at ranged combat (dropped shots, attack speed, etc.)
2) More/better named bows in the game at various levels
3) customizable armor OR an appearance tab or both
4) Druid class
5) Human proficiency/enhancement line for Bastard Swords(like dwarven axes for Dwarves, scimitars for Elves, etc.)? Might make them useful, not THAT far of a stretch lore-wise.

3. And what is my signature:

Hit 'P', and go to the adventure tab. You can find out what the highest difficulty you've completed it on is.

1 - Sorcerer PrE - One that makes their damage output relevant at highest level, and gives them an option besides enchant spec + Mass Hold + Firewall.

1a - This includes a pass of spells, either making the less effective spells cheap enough to use that you can actually make it past a a few rooms without running out of SP if you don't use Firewall or just haste the party.

2 - Druids - This will cinch my TR plans, and possibly ensure two TRs instead (so I can pull in a different role on another character in guild, and which will give me incentive to power level my Paladin to 20, instead of ignoring her except when guildies want to pull the Cleric role).

3 - Push Half-Elves hair down on their heads properly, at the least. They sit about 2 inches too high. On ones with the hair pulled back, it's really bad; the only tolerable hair are the styles with long bangs, which hide the problem somewhat, as well as hide their eyes partially. They also need their eyes changed, so that they don't look terminally depressed, and some texture added to the skin. This is female only, of course. Male Helves need totally new models.

4 - Druids - See #2.

5 - More Divine spells, that are actually useful in the majority of content. You basically have Blade Barrier, Destruction, Comet Fall, Implosion, Greater Command, Soundburst, and healing spells. A few others have situational use, but since there's so few spells to speak of, a cleric can carry all useful spells, and have empty slots. Heck, I carried Seek Eternal Rest for awhile because it was the most "useful" spell at that level, and I NEVER CAST IT!

6 - Druids - See #4.

7 - Cleric PrE - I'd like an offensively casting PrE. It might make me retain a Cleric character, instead of abandoning the class utterly after I TR mine. However, a good (READ THIS!) melee Warpriest PrE will be fine. Something to draw Clerics away from the "only best as a healbot" role that Radiant shoveled them into.
7a - Change the passive Past life to something useful. +1 DC on Conjuration spells isn't too terribly useful, since most are going for Enchant or Necro DCs, or at least Evocation.

8 - Druids - See #6.

9 - More Arcane spells, which match Firewall in effectiveness vs cost ratio. Make Sorcerers have a choice in what spells they take!

10 - Druids - See #8.

11 - Remove blanket immunities from all non-raid/quest boss monsters. Even in Epic. If you can't make a challenge without removing 90% of the capabilities of a class, then go find another job, maybe at Walmart as a greeter. You fail as a game designer. Saving throws are there for a reason. Bosses are the only acceptable alternative, because they're not supposed to die to one Finger of Death.

12 - Druids - See #10.

13 - Weapon pass, to make the currently useless weapons viable vs Khopesh/Falchion builds. Maybe 10-20% melee alacrity bonus to attack speed with daggers and Kukri or whatever for the lighter weapons, maybe % chance to stun for bludgeoning weapons on a crit (even without the Stunning enhancement).

1) Sorc Capstone, I wanna morph into a dragon, being dragon born and all. "Like velah" maybe not as big as velah may cause issues with pc performance.

2) Better cosmetic armor kits "usable anywhere not just specific locations"

3) Switch tempest back to melee alacrity! "so there actually worth playing again"

4) Scroll case *would be cool as suggested before my post

5) More 16-18 content so we dont have to grind vale an iq over and over for us Tr's

6) Work on server lag, your equipment not ours

7) Fix the bug that doesn't allow pale masters to heal themselves when they accidentally receive a deathward and so i stopped getting yelled at :D...oops

8) Nerf elite traps in RR an boss dps output, "shouldnt compare to epic on leet imo"

9) Increase the lvl cap

10) More Endgame content please, stop releasing low lvl quests that can be epic!

11) Epic Green steel? not to sure how this would work would be different though "Heard something about this"

12) Fix ranged bugs, ghost arrows. i.e. repeaters etc.

13) Visible quivers.

14) Please please dear devs fix blind, stunned mobs and stop saying it is! <3

15) do NOT nerf fvs wings and a abudent step when harried with lovely Dungeon Alert. "or when chained"

16) Another inventory bag slot for lazy people like myself "unorganized" this i would pay for with tp, and many more i can assure!


I have tried to cover all topics, probably, sure i forgot to mention some things, I know all of these wont get accepted but i have color coded the most important ones, hopefully get noticed! ;) thx for your time.

Asking for anything in U9 is probably too little too late at this point. It's set to drop in, what... six weeks or so? Maybe less?

But my wishlist for 2011 (in no particular order) is...

1: Druids, duh...
2: Another new race
3: Finish existing PrE's that were promised back around christmas of '08.
4: More diversity of Mob races: I'm so damned tired of goblinoids, demons, giants and kobolds. I want to hunt owlbears, bulettes, tarasques, and displacer beasts... also... Metallic Dragons (IE: Gold, silver, bronze, copper), the chromatics are getting too much love.
5: More adventures outside of the northern peninsula of Xen'Drik. Not saying it has to be other continents, but... the rest of this one at least.
6: Assault on the Droaam! (Take the fight to the beasts!)

And, because we should all dream big and have at least one ridiculous (yet still game improving) wish...

7: An enhancement line that would allow more than one creature to be summoned at a time. Why spend money on hirelings when you can burn SP and have a furry army? Or, for you clerics, an army of summoned Hezrou!

1. Balanced weaponry, no more esos leagues ahead. Either slightly nerf esos and/or make comparable falchions/greataxes and 1 handed weapons.

2. Balance all exotic weapons to be equal to khopeshes, except racial weapons should pull ahead.

3. Add some 2 handed exotic weapons.

4. Get rid of mob and boss debuff immunities, make boss fights harder without debuffs or slightly easier with them. All casters rejoice!

2nd TR: level 18

Also, give big exp on the epic quests, this fixes the issue with not having enough high level content, thus having less disgruntled TRs.

Wow I really like this Idea, don't allow us to use any Epic Gear till 20 of course but allow us to enter an Epic Quest as he said.

1. revamp current epic items so that defensive epic items have blue augment slots (like bracers).
2. expand what abilities each augment slot can give (except maybe colorless). eg, blue augment slots could give Heightened Awareness 4, Dodge +3, etc.
3. make it so that the "prettiest race" in the game is not, in fact, the absolute ugliest, even after half-orcs

I would like to see new combat mods, graphics, some of the more unique feats and abilities from the PnP. I would like to see more pretige classess for the other characters. As well as more pretige classes for the existing classes. Another thing I would like to see is more cosmetic characer enhancements, even a cosmetic enhancement for capes and cloaks. I don't care if any of it is realized as long as druid makes an appearence soon!

Really I'd like a huge number of changes.

However the prime ones that would make me super happy

1. Cull the grind from the game. It's just not fun.
2. Finish up the Class PrE lines
3. Bring back bonus Xp for finishing quests below level it creates a fun challenge and would be a good way to get some extra XP for TR@s
4. Restablish the gold standard, it would generally make prices more reasonable across the board
5. Bring back some of the ridiculous challenges. Stuff like the Golem at the end of Shan Ta Kor That could only be brought down by magic missiles they where a hoot to play.
6. Take some lessons from puzzle pirates and their voyage+crew system. For making guilds and lfm's more valbume in the game.

While I agree with the "more detailed and variable" armor customization suggestion, I gotta poke at your sig with a stick for a moment.

Eliminate 'ninja' looting from DDO: Already done as of Update 8. The game itself rolls for scrolls and places them in a randomly selected party member's inventory. Since this was introduced, in all the epics I've done, the party decides whether to "keep what you get" or "everyone rolls for all scrolls at the end of the quest" and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Bring teleport more inline with PnP: How would you do this? Easiest thing I have considered is allowing an option to teleport to where you are bound, appearing right next to the Spirit Binder. Perhaps a new NPC or a "Teleport Beacon" in each area that players can attune themselves to so they can teleport there.

Stop dying to get to Meridia: Airships. Level 1 navigator requires you to complete all of an area's Explorer quests to teleport there. Level 2 navigator requires you to have the Explorer quests in your log, no completion necessary to teleport there. Level 3 navigator I have no idea about as I've yet to use one.

Player made quests can work in DDO: What's to keep people from putting in "objectionable content?" There isn't. If this was implemented, at best, Turbine would have to play and review each submission to make sure it falls within their standards, which could take a few months between all the work the Devs and Art Department already have to do and the sheer number of submissions they would receive. It would make for a nice VIP-only perk, and one that can't be bought with Turbine Points for the Freemium crowd, though.

I would like to see the timer removed from the guild airship buffs taken by characters. Specifically, once taken by a character, I would like them to stay in place until either character death or logoff. It is easy enough to go back for them every hour, but, as an example, who really wants to take off from Sorrowdusk every hour just to refresh the buffs? Making them "permanent" would be a nice convenience for more enjoyable gameplay.

It would be pleasant to have some more control over summoned pets..like a kind of a hireling bar, even smaller like offensive/defensive/passive position as in:
offensive : pet attacks every mobs around
defensive : pet attacks only if his master is under attacked (takes damages)
passive : pet just follow

not a big thing, but could be nice sometimes , they already put more mobs to summon, they're on the good way :P



In PnP, you have no control over summoned pets actions. The only creatures in PnP that you have total control of are a wizard's familiar, a ranger or druid's animal companion.

Classes/Races that have pre-reqs to use. I.E. Duergar race requires TR from dwarf race. Swashbuckler class requires TR from rogue or bard class (15th lvl class at minimum). Change Drow to req TR from elf/helf. All req'd TR races are 32 point build.

Assume 1st TR has eaten a +1 tome of each stat. Assume 2nd TR has eaten a +2 tome of each stat. These tomes would be different then inherent bonus to stat (past life inherent bonus maybe), so a then found +1 or +2 tome would reduce the grind required to equal the possible +3/+4 tomes eaten. +3/+4 tomes would then not work after TR.

Have UI window to allow players to "build" characters out, so when they level the UI will then show them what they need to do. This would be more helpful to new players who (like I still do sometimes) fiddle around with a character before realizing I didn't really want to do that.

1. Finish the PrE's; Personally, I'm not worried about Sorc and FvS Pre's coming out any time soon; tbh i just consider them PrE's of Wizard and Cleric respectively.
2. Make AC viable. Maybe make every attack roll fluctuate between 50% and 150% of it's actual value (a +10 attack can actually be anything from a +5 to a +15) , so that the range where AC is useful expands the higher you level. I'd actually prefer if all Armor and natural Armor bonuses were stacking DR instead of AC, but that would probably require a revamp of the entire system.
3. Make Armor limit your Dex to AC by a percentage so that there's more incentive to wear armor at higher Dex values; i.e. Leather gives you 80-90% of your Max Dex bonus instead of capping at 6; Full plate gives you 25% of your Dex bonus instead of capping at 1. Enhancements like Dwarf Armor Mastery would give you an extra 5% of your dex bonus. +This would make more sense; as is, Armor in no way limits your agility until a certain point; then there is absolutely no value in being more agile.
4. Get rid of the stupid Cleric gods and give us domains; then give clerics access to new spells and possibly enhancements based on those domains; Fire Clerics would get prettty much every fire spell in game, and Damage/Crit enhancements for fire spells only. Good Clerics would get a scaling Pro. Evil, Holy Smite, and level 9 Holy Aura that would have something up on the normal version (A blinding guard or SR against Evil casters prolly)

3. Please for pity's sake fix the halfelves faces.
4. Real Armor customization... these gimicky armor kits aren't terrible but they aren't what I was hoping for, and if the devs plan on making more of those they should be themed kits ie pirate costume, ninja-type costume, etc.
5. Fix AC issue. Its ludicrous the way its currently setup.
6. New races, Aasimar, Tiefling, Gnomes, Svirfneblin, and Duergar. Gnomes should be able to go up to 36 pt builds but i can understand if they limit the others the way they limited drow. On the other hand, I think Drow should be able to TR from 28 to 30 to 32 pt builds and cap there. Furthermore, Drow need to be able to choose which of their favored stats they can increase with enhancements. That is instead of Dex being the only choice let them choose between dex, int and cha as their racial stat enhancement but whichever they choose locks out the others.
7. Classes. Yes, we need druid. I'd much rather it be done right and take awhile then poorly.
8. All Prestige Enhancement lines do need to be taken to the third tier and soon. Certain classes need Prestige Enhancements such as Dragon Disciple for Sorcerers and Bards. I would certainly welcome more racial PrE like dwarven defender and warforged juggernaut.
9. Cleric Domains. Nuff said.
10. Inventory. This is a major issure in this game. I can't believe it hasn't already been addressed and with something besides a bandaid DDO store bought bank slot. We need manageable ingredient bags, spell component cases, scroll bandoliers, wand packs and potion belts. Something needs to be done about arrow and bolt quivers so that they can actually be used and not just as collectors.
11. Adventure Pack Love. Update a few adventure packs examples 3Barrel and Ataraxia's. So much more could be done with 3Barrel... quest givers that teleport you to quest entrance once you've found it like in Tangleroot, overarching quest giver like the one for Sharn Syndicate that gives you a series reward, named items for chests in particular dungeons, and possibly a raid that invovles pirates on an airship.
12. Summer Fernia event that would eventually allow you to customize weapons with combustion, or flaming/flaming burst.
These are my hopes for the future of DDO... feel free to add your own.

One thing I've wanted for a while now is the ability to get mail while in a quest. I occasionally have items on bid at the AH that would be handy to have NOW if won. Perhaps something along the lines of an Orien Mail Sprite could deliver a single mail message, with attached content, for the price of 25 TP. One could call the sprite, pick a message to receive and away it goes to fetch it for you. It would be another potential revenue stream for Turbine and I'd certainly use it, albeit probably not often enough to make coding it profitable. Just a thought.

I would like to see more campaign settings, maybe accessible by airship like Forgotten realms, Blackmoor, Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Ravenloft, Underdark and so on. I would be willing to pay extra for access to these worlds above vip. you could start these worlds off with just a group of quests to cover various levels. have new magic items in these areas such as figurines of wondrous power in forgotten realms, or magic items in the underdark that only work in the underdark. even make current weapons lower powered in other planes, but have weapons that can be found there that operate well in that plane.

-holy avenger sword for paladins
-other races
-maybe a quest that you can take the form of various monsters during the quest
-maybe a quest where fly can be used during quest, or same idea in another plane
-astrial plane could be a lot of fun as an outdoor questing area with floating islands and many encounters both aerial and island based.

I would also like a web browser style log into game just to moniter and bid on auctions, that way it could be done from any access to internet, even work computers. perhaps things like chat(guild chat) or what not could also be accessed. If plat could be stored in a shared bank like slot, it could be used for bidding. Something like this could keep interest up, allow people to see what is being planned, allow in game players to hear from outside of game players on when they will be online and so on.

Tarrasque: and he better be tougher than anything we have ever faced before. IT is truly the most terrifying monster in all of the D&D realms. My suggestion would be this:

Tarrasque CR: OMFG

He only appears in quests while you are fighting an EPIC Raid Boss and should be applied as an Optional similar to Sorjeck.

He doesn't aggro on just one guy with heavy blocking DR and high Intimidate. The Tarrasque should spread his destructive love to everybody equally. Similar to Sullomades in ELITE VoD, he likes to try and whip everybody

Other than Velah and Horoth, I would also like to see the Tarrasque have some exceptionally tough allies (if he doesn't eat them first) People should understand that they will probably DIE horribly and break at least 2 of their equipped items if they DIE fighting him.

To the Victor Go the Spoils:

If a party can beat THE Monster the Loot Table would have to be absolutely outstanding. My suggestion would be this:

The End Chest would have to be similar to an End Reward (aside from the X amount of EPIC Tokens you get for Killing Him)

Fully upgraded to EPIC Items and +4 Tomes is what I would want to see.

If you make him, he better be on TOUGH Son of a Bisquit.
