Instead of giving the kill to whoever got the last blow, can we have the kill be given to whoever did the most damage?

Then only cool people would have "(Combat): You killed Arraetrikos." in their bios.

Whoever does the most damage to something deserves the kill anyway.

It could help sort out the pros from the joes for guild recruitment and stuff.

No. That is a bad idea.

Leave kill count as it is.

However, add more sections. Such as...

Amount of healing dealt. (include repair spells with this. and yes, potion drinking would apply as well.)
Amount of Damage dealt. (yes, this is over the course of the whole quest) now some would wonder how intant death and vorpals count. well, only so much as how many hp they had left. while their damage value could be low, the kill count would be higher. You have to abstract this data out.

I'm not entirely convinced you (OP) aren't someone trying to further sabotage the already trainwrecked PvP ingame. If you are, by all means, carry on posting in the PvP forums. :)
Back on topic:
No, better to just write your number of completions in rather than killed X mob or whatever.
17 shroud completions says more (if not much) about a player than one lucky hit on Harry.

Number of kills and those other statistics are measured because there are XP bonuses involved with them.

There's no XP in healing, so there is little reason to add in a healing statistic...plus, people would just do ridiculous **** like sit in a casual quest next to a shrine and mass heal hirelings/summons repeatedly and get "You healed for 1,000,000,000 points this adventure" screenshots for epeen purposes.

And people who judge anyone's value to the party by the kill screen totals is a moron who you should not be grouping with in the first place.
