Currently TWFs have the advantage of an extra weapon slot...it would be cool if THFs could take two say long swords and make a single weapon out of them and have both abilities.

Rules:

- Does not work with GS or Named items

- Must be two weapons of the same type

- Weapons must be similar to 2-handed weapon being created (ie. 2 handaxe = greataxe)

- Uses level appropriate collectables...you know some of those useless ones

- Similar effects do not stack....ie. combining 2 PG scimmys gives won't give you a PG PG falchion.

- Highest ML will apply

There is a reason why a +5 longsword has ML8, a +2 holy longsword of pure good has ML8 and a +5 holy greatsword of pure good has ML14.
How about getting a cheap +5 vorpal or adding seeker +10 to your favorite weapon?

Have you considered the disadvantages of two weapon fighting?
Less damage in DR situations, the need of two weapons (double cost in crafting, less inventory space)

Nobody would go for two weapon fighting if this were to come real.

A very unusual way to do crafting.

I would prefere:
- get a blank of a desired material
- blank has 3 "slots". Enhant, prefix, sufix
- get mats for those 3 slots
- put blank and mats into device and push craft
Done.

To get "mats":
- get a vendor junk
- put into device and push "recycle"
Device drops out base crafting mats.

Simple!

Two weapons = twice the fun.

To add to the disadvantage list, 2WF also means you have to sacrifice stat points to meet the dex requirement.

I think the ability to combine any 2 weapons would make most random loot pointless.

Also we already have a good crafting system -> GS

So.... I'm trying to understand this. How can two longswords become a greatsword...?

LOL at voltron!

Makes me wonder if I should post something like..

"Make shurikens dual wield and switches to a greatsword in melee-point blank range"

:P
