it's kind of pointless to have it there >_>
if someone outbids you, you get your bid back in the mail
the only time when someone would want to cancel a bid, they're the top bidder and can't cancel the bid because they ARE the top bidder
BOOOO

The only cancel button I remember seeing is the one for posted material... then again I don't know if I've ever placed a bid other then on festival twigs. Bit more of a buyout man.

Can you cancel your bid?

I thought the cancel button was for those placing items on the AH and can cancel the auction if there has been no bids.

if you are outbid, you can just click on the bid again and re-bid. the cancel button is there if you no longer want to follow the bid (i.e. it gets to more than you are willing to pay).

I think that f2p (not premium) may have a limit on the number of items they can bid on. If they're out-bid and don't wish to continue bidding, they will need to cancel that entry if their limit is reached, in order to be permitted to bid on another item.

Or maybe not -- I've never played pure f2p, I'm just basing this on aging recollection of others' posts.

Have had a limit of 20 active bids. (Can't remember whether I was free or premium.)

And that's the reason for cancel.

it's only 1 for free.
