So the question is, did the new "backend" changes include the ability to patch (or preload) without bringing the severs down? And all the "mum" on when U6 would be put in is was Turbines way of surprising us with the news?

Why not just link directly to them, instead of linking to the thread that links to them?

So it really is only the Red Fens pack. No bugs fixed or anything. I mean, I know that the even updates are supposed to be an adventure pack, but we've gotten bug fixes before with them. I'm just a bit surprised by that.

Or on second thought, now having actually read the release notes, was the update so small that no one noticed the down time?...

Seriously no polish, no tweaks, no bug fixes, no new PrE's etc.? I'm guessing something else is going on?

LOL, I have absolutely no idea why it's letting me do that.

I wasn't really thinking when I hit reply.

where do we pick up the new quests?

You can access Red Fens at House Kundrak, near the entrance. The guy's name is Ormar <Caravan Master>

And your answer is they added that tech some time ago.

The Red Fens was added in update 5..... It was left open and could be accessed through a secret hole in the map for a few days when it was put in.. It's been around for a while ;)

It was added with the last patch 2 weeks ago, all it required was a flag to be flipped

Interesting since I've not seen them use it till now.

Either U6 Patch is going to be huge..or your just taking everyone for fools.

This is NOT an Update..I'd bearly call that a Patch! :(

Sort it OUT!

OK it was stated months ago that the plan was for 6 updates this year, and that odd numbered updates would contain the game updates and content, and even numbered updates would be content only.

So update 6 being even contains only content

So update 6 being even contains barely any content

Corrected that for you.

Sirgog has a better one here. They should hire him.

Corrected that for you.

It contains no more or less content than the last 5 adventure packs, in fact if you are comparing it straight out, it is the only one with an adventure area, so it can in fact be considered bigger.
Given the 2 month cycle I am ont at all surprised at the size of "adventure packs",also Turbine has proably done the math and realized that selling more of a smaller pack nets them more cash than selling less of a large pack, so expect all future mods to be of the 4-5 quest variety, with a major raid once or twice a year.
