I only put the most generic items I can expect reasonably. I will of course use the Epic geared towards Eurytos's recommended items but I have run those quests a bazillion times and havent pulled them yet so I dont list what I dont reasonably expect to have.


Just looking to see if I this build looks ok. Going for DPS here and hopefully I spent my enhancements decently. I am sure I could rearrange some enhancements or make the progression more efficient but will work on that later.

Any suggestions for improvements or "what the heck are you thinking" (constructive criticism) welcomed.

I would drop your str down to 14 and put the points into Wisdom. Wisdom determines the DC for all your finishing moves and Stunning fist. If your Wis is too low to make these land, then you will be severely disappointed.

Dark Finishers: 10 + FULL Monk Level + Wis.

So, with my 20 Wis, I have a 35DC. (8 base + 2 tome + 7 epic helm + 1 exceptional + 2 yugo)

this posted by Eurytos, now of course I dont have an epic helm so I will have 1 to my DC for a 34.

If I go 14 STR then I would be missing out on the Earth punches, need an 18 for GM.

Are the finishers that good to forgo STR and Earth ?

No, keep 16 STR, the mobs saves are so low in Epics that you should not have any problems landing finishers and Stunning fist.

Also just to keep in mind the best finisher you have for Epics is "Shining Star" which is based off your CHA. Just to give you an idea of how low mobs saves are now in Epics, I was landing my DC 28 Shining star 80% of the time in the new epic quests.

Str is fire
earth is con

those last 2 points of str cost you 6 buld points which could be easliy be made up for with all your level points going in to str.

I'd drop str to 14 as suggested and put all your level ups in to str ans start with 14 wis so you atleast have a better chance stunning the trash.

Sorry forgot to add stunned gives you SA damage which is more damage than 2 extra st will give you just beating on them

You need to be able to hit the mob to stun them, look Monks are a melee class one that has one of the lowest base to hit. No matter if you go dex or str if you are planning on running epics you need to max that stat.

Max Str, or be ready to LR at 20, let the casters with there 38 DC mass holds take care of making mobs insta crit for you.

I agree. Staying with 16 STR with max levels going in STR.
