We got heard on the lammania forums , they have now fixed the aura´s randomly healing value, and you can now attack physically too while its active without stopping its pulses =)

They will try and get the bug fixes into update 5, and if they dont manage it, patch it in after release most likely in the first hotfix/patch.

Sweet, time to level my TR cleric up to 20 so I can TR again and have some outrighteous fun from 6-20 levels ;)

Thanks for the head up and glad the Dev finally acknowledge those bugs and sort them out.

Now I can come back to revise my original cleric build and plan for a fresh newer build... Expect more battle cleric coming through :D

(No they didn't fix it on the latest Lamannia build as I just tested, or even Update 5, but probably after a patch after U5)

Got a source to back this up? Every dev quote Ive see regarding the Aura pulsing while fighting has been "WAI"

Yup!

I'm pretty stoked by it, too :D

Is the aura dropping when you attack WAI?
Yes, if you're in the middle of a global cooldown after taking an action (like attacking), the aura won't pulse.

We have identified the issue with equipping weapons affecting the healing aura and are confident in how to fix it.

We're still looking into why attacks interrupt it, that is a separate bug.

And with plenty of time to spare....I've figured out the "healing aura interrupted by attacking" bug. ;)

Thanks for the reports all.

And by "Yes", I mean "No". I'm not the one that set up the spell, so I was wrong. :)

I'm thrilled by this. I'll be making a high healing amp battle clonk. =D

I worked one up for my wife two days ago. It looks pretty hot. The hard part are feats, there just aren't quite enough to do everything you might want to.

W to the O to the O to the T!

I'm really excited about making a new fighting-capable Cleric now. Just have to wait for the follow-up patch after Update 5 is released, which'll be what, another week?

Don't get too excited by it tho... They've found the problem, but it's not going to be fixed as of the release date. So you'll still have some time playing with the "bugged" version on the live servers.

Aye we know it, as Phax and Eladrin mention at the very same thread, mention that already -- however, so long as they will fix it ( hint: they did say it's probably on the first hotfix so it probably won't take one month long :p ), I'm cool; I don't really want this fix postpone the release of U5, and my start from the scratch build will take a while to level up...

I think we said that we were trying to get it into the patch. Hotfixes are usually reserved for things bad enough that we're rather hoping we don't need one.

lol good one.

We all know update 5 will need many hotfixes. It's insane how bugged the build is.

Unless their internal build is some how less bugged then the lamannia build. Or they just said to hell with it what's the worst that could happen.

Whatever there so called "internal" build is, is irrelevant.

Whats going on live is the final build. Aka the one done with at least 1-2 weeks to "QA" it (and I use the word "qa" losely). Aka identical to whats on lamannia. The same way it's worked for the last I dunno, every update in the history of DDO where we had a public test server (well for paying customers).

They probably have newer internal builds with various states of new updates/content ,but they certainly won't be hitting live anytime soon.

But Lama has always had some bugs that don't go live. Like the NPC to get to the Dreaming Dark island missing (he's there now, btw). And I think I heard Sentinels quest chain was missing at one point as well.

you sure you didn't hear that sentinels was granting access to U5 content?

Their track record suggests that you've described their QA process pretty well. Han Solo-style coding.

The new Radiant Servant enhancements will add more fun and strategy for the average PUG during levels 6 - 15 than any other part of this update. They drastically change the game for the better and I look forward to using it soon.

Thanks, Devs!

U5 live status:

Radiant Servant was as buggy as it could be on Lamannia right now :p

On the other hand, they do fix the super duper bug on Holy Aura already, as expected *howling*

Not fixed enough apparently...

# NEW - The healing aura from Radiant Servant will deactivate when you make a melee attack on any attackable object.

Not fixed enough apparently...

ELadrin stated that that fix most likely would not make it into the initial release of update5.

Anyone else with the following problem:

When the Positive Energy Aura is active, my Blade Barrier (and apparently all other offensive spells with checks) DCs drop down drastically. Apparently in my case by 10 points. Turning heighten off actually increases my DCs.

Is it actually dropping or is it just a Display issue?

From what I can tell its actually dropping, I tested it in Sins of Attrition and I did 0 damage to the evasion red named mobs. I had to wait for the aura to go away so i can recast the Blade Barriers

Edit: OK, apparently, if I have maximise or heighten on when I cast the aura, the DCs of my offensive spells drop down by 10.

If this is similar to the other bugs just turn max/heighten off and back on after tossing the aura.

Tested some more yestarday:

The problem seems to be heighten. And I did the turn on/off thing, except.... the aura ticks every second. Which apparently lowers the DCs again, so basically I can't use heighten and the aura at the same time. Not that heighten is that useful anyway, but still annoying.
