I have greatly enjoyed my first month playing ddo but there is one thing I noticed.

specialists have 3 classes while the rest have 4. Is there any future update in store for a fourth buyable specialist class? (i wouldnt honestly know where to find out if there is)

Though i cant really think of any.

maybe a class where you can become an enemy npc and use it as a host like a parasite, that would be neat.

kinda tricky.

The only class that has any comments made on it is the Druid.
Druid is a spellcaster (nukes, buffs, and heals) that can Shapeshift into animals and elementals and engage in combat that way.
They *might* be out by the end of 2011, but there's no guarantee. Of course, people have been expecting them for over three years now, so take that as you want.

I've seen several comments for the Artificer class. Which I have no direct experience with, so you'll have to ask someone else about it.

As for Druid, yes it will be here for 3011. ;)

Artificer is a support class that uses devices to help the party, Not sure that it would make sense to have one as a main line class. But if the added enough eberron devices to the game then I guess so.

Druid is not a specialist class, it belongs in the caster category with clerics, favour souls, sorcerors and wizards.

Thats the one they say they're doing next, half-orcs this year and druids next year.

I've thought this game needed Artificers since 2006. The next class they release should be a specialist, the artificer. That would be so much awesome with awesomesauce on top that I promise not to complain about anything (much) for a long time.

I also would like to see the artificer, hopefully together with an upgraded crafting system...

Someone with knowledge of the PnP Artificier should come up with some workable ideas for it and post em here. I think it'd be cool to have the community help design a new class that is likely not even close to a point of implementation in the game.

Druid will be the next class, but it's possible that if the community was able to develop a PnP equivalent and draw itnerest to it, we could see something else... :)

Found that on a quick google.

You know, this class sounds like it's perfect for the imbueing of weapons and items that Eladrin mentioned in the thread on Master's Touch on Lam.

EDIT: Well, maybe I'll put together something and post it here for pnp people to look over. This class looks like it could very easily be a mix of cleric/wizard/rogue with some neat options...
