I've been playing since beta and here's some things that I'd like to see:

1) Change bard AC buff to a group song. Currently, it's not useful and impractical.
1a) Add some unique spells for Bards. After level 14-15, if they're not a Warchanter, they don't have much value with the silly saves (Amrath) and blanket immunities (Reavers Refuge). The end-game is limited for Bards (similar to Monks).

2) The best weapons in the game are currently available at 14, yet the rings are only available so very late in the game. The Mindsunder stuff is terrible. It's got level 18 as a mininum and most of it is pure junk (even upgraded). This line of questing is pretty worthless due to this fact. You could have done much better DDO!
2a) The ring with level 18 minimum is dumb too. Nothing should be more than 16th level requirement. How much fun is something that only can be used for 2 or 3 levels?

3) Allow hirelings who cast to have quicken or other metamagic feats. They're useful with buffs, but worthless healing in the middle of combat because they are getting hammered. Keep improving hireling AI.

4) Limit Froobs (free-to-play) to a fixed number on each server. Start a Froob-only server if needed for the masses.

5) Give VIPs something useful over Froobs. Instead of putting everything on the DDO Store, give froobs a few extras that are tangible and enjoyable. Examples might include:
- Allow dungeons to be opened on elite immediately
- Discounts on DDO Store or in-game items like hirelings, pots, wands, scrolls, etc.

6) Change the XP requirement on True Reincarnation. The gap to achieve TRs in crazy. Why not a simple 10% more XP required per TR. Instead of 2 million xp to cap, make it 2.2. I think more people would TR and it would be more enjoyable. Currently, even the first TR in tiresome and tedious to say the least.

7) Keep improving AI and fix the bugs that are still there from the last 3 mods. Fix the lag! The game loses its fun if players can't perform as expected.

1) I agree the Bards could use some loving at high levels, although the same things that are true of Bards are true, to a lesser degree, to arcanes as well. Thatis a comment, not a disagreement.

2) I agree with the idea that min-level 18 items are relatively short lived in usefulness. A Max "min Level" of 16 is appropriate.

3) My impression is that hireling improvements of various sorts are on the roadmap. I don't have so much of a problem with Hirelings, but improvements are always welcome.

4) A big, honking, resounding "NO!" From a purely technical issue, there is too much ability to shift account types to implement such a thing. But mainly, I really don't want them segregating players. It is a bad precedent. Yes, the Froobs can be really annoying at times, but so can the power-gamers. Allowing these folks to segregate themselves will only reinforce their annoying behaviors as opposed to pushing them toward the middle of universally acceptable behavior.

5) VIPs already have tangible benefits over Froobs. Immediate open on hard. "Free" points, character slots, etc.

6) I speak with relatively little knowledge here (as none of my legion have TRed yet) but I think the increased XP needs of TR characters are a good thing. Those characters are more powerful and better equiped than non-TR characters. I realize a lot of folks just want to get their TR guys back to end-game, but I think the objective of TR is to have the entire range of levels of playable again.

7) I'd never argue against AI and bug fixes. :) Always a good thing.

I am merely guessing here, but I assume that the idea you mentioned in section 3: Adding metamagic to hirelings. That might get a bit abused - people could use a hireling to buff up a party of 5 with extended spells and then disband the hireling and bring the sixth guy in, while having buffs that should last until the end of the quest.

1) Useless? Huh, that must be why I get tells every time I run ToD on my bard asking for it... Oh, and I still have songs left over...every run.

2) Silly in the extreme. Stuff had ML 10 when the cap was 10. Stuff had ML 12 when the cap was 12. People do play at end game for extended periods of time therefore ML = level cap is perfectly valid. Mindsunder loot is junk I will you give you that.

3) Hirelings do suck. Meta-magics would improve them.

4) Where is the need for this? Really, I am not aware of a single case where the server wait was institutied on Sarlona, my home server, for F2P players. The only times we have had issues is with buggy code that actually was not related to the number of players online.

5) You are missing a major category of player here. Not suprising that you don't realize that premium players are fairly common, because there is no reason why you would know they are premium unless they told you in most cases.

6) Agreed. TR xp is too high. It does not make sense to make levels that are easier for a TR to be more grindy. That does not add to the fun factor at all. In fact, the crazy TR xp encourages even easier dungeons to be run by TR's to maximize their XP. Heck I ran all the mods well below level when leveling the first time. It was more challenging and rewarding to do it that way. With TR's the opposite is true because of the large XP penalty, it makes more sense to run low and mid level quests with a guy one level higher then the quest to maximize time/xp/total xp still available. Not smart design or fun at all.

7) Agreed enough said here.

You could do this with a real player also.

Since when do hirelings know buffs?

To the degree that a hireling can buff anyone, it's totally fine to allow people to spend their money on getting it.

Froobs have resurrected this game IMO.
The Froobs suggestion is purely for the lag issue. I was hoping it would fix the lag on highly populayed servers.
I'm fine with the Froobs and premiums, just not the lag.
If they can address lag and leave froobs as-is, perfect.
I just notice lag getting worse with more froobs trying ddo.

I love these comments... seems like I see one once a week...

Yes the more FtP online the more people on, the more lag but...

Froobs do not cause lag... it's the number of people on at a time, and even if 100% of the people were VIP, they would still cause lag. The lag (any lag caused by the number of people on) is caused by Turbines Servers not being able to handle the capacity. are you saying that if everyone was VIP, you'd still want the number of people online to be limited? 'Cuz unless Turbine upgrades it's Hardware (and possible Software, does seem they could tighten up their coding) more than X number of people (Doesn't matter if FtP, Premium, VIP) we will have lag and log in issues.

Think about it for a sec, you are asking that the lag issue be resolved, not by bringing the hardware up to the point where it can handle the demand, but to reduce lag by reducing the player base down to the hardware... it does not seem like a smart move.

1) Change bard AC buff to a group song. Currently, it's not useful and impractical.

+4 AC is a significant increase for an AC focused build. THe power of the song warrants a SIngle target... SKill song though, thats I'd like to see mass............

1a) Add some unique spells for Bards. After level 14-15, if they're not a Warchanter, they don't have much value with the silly saves (Amrath) and blanket immunities (Reavers Refuge). The end-game is limited for Bards (similar to Monks).

Huh? Fascinate is one of the best abilities from Korthos to Epic... I try to get aBard (ANd monk as a matter of fact) into every Elite and Epic run I do.

So you want Higher Minimum levels for Weapons, but lower for Items?

You realize that most peole spen significanty more time as a Level 18+ Character than they do a L1-17 character yes?

3) Allow hirelings who cast to have quicken or other metamagic feats. They're useful with buffs, but worthless healing in the middle of combat because they are getting hammered. Keep improving hireling AI.

4) Limit Froobs (free-to-play) to a fixed number on each server. Start a Froob-only server if needed for the masses.

Absolutely not.

5) Give VIPs something useful over Froobs. Instead of putting everything on the DDO Store, give froobs a few extras that are tangible and enjoyable. Examples might include:
- Allow dungeons to be opened on elite immediately

VIPs get to open on Hard immediately already. No need to skip to Elite.

If you find the grind tedius, then dont do it. TR is supposed to be a difficult TIme sink. not something to do cause your looking for excitement.

7) Keep improving AI and fix the bugs that are still there from the last 3 mods. Fix the lag! The game loses its fun if players can't perform as expected.
