Currently there is no exotic 2-Handed weapon only TWF ones AND the only THF weapon a monk can use without penalties is the quaterstaff (which for some odd reason is really gimp) so I suggest introducing Sectional Staff (AKA Tri-Nunchaku...some of which can be combined into a quarterstaff) as an exotic weapon that a monk receives like he does Kamas (others can take it by taking the exotic feat) the fighting style just screams wind stance. It would be similar to other 2-Handed weapons like Greatsword or Great Axe (like how str affect damage, etc.) but a little more powerful or if its possible (I dunno anything about coding) make it damage things all around you due to the way you fight with it (see demo vids) as its an exotic weapon otherwise no one would bother taking the feat or even using it if its an auto-gained one (see Shurikens)

Note: Nunchaku ARE in the D&D rules as a Monk weapon in case you were wondering

There are plenty of weapons in core D&D, nunchaku aside, that the playerbase has been asking for for years now.

Spears are a prime example.

Dual sticks would be nice, especially weighted :)

Bludgeoning yes but some come with blades at the end so bludgeoning/slashing is possible....maybe through crafting or something

So how would NOT suggesting things help?

Oh ok my friend uses something similar in her Hapkido classes....hmmm a weighted Kali stick (assuming weighted means literally sticking weights on it) would kinda just look like a messed up mace lol

/signed.

Also, make Quarterstaffs a Double Weapon, as it is in PnP. This allows you to get the extra attacks from the TWF tree, at the cost of -2/-2 to hit (the 'offhand' is considered a light weapon) and the double Power Attack bonus. It'd also give it better synergy with the existing handwraps/kamas instead of being the odd weapon out.

I like my Qstaff, but I'm not against more options.

Personally I think it'd be cool if a Qstaff was finesseable. Sounds wierd for a 2 handed weapon, but it makes sense considering it's not wielded the same way and the weapon itself is much lighter.

3-section staff would be fun :)
What would the animation be?
Its such a unique weapon as you can fight like a TWF sometimes or you can block like a staff wielder or use it like a "iron whip" or use trapping moves etc, etc.
None of the current animations would do it justice IMO.

I'd say some. kind of whirlwind/helicopter style like the demo above (not the movie clip) would suit it the best and seems very monk like...and it would make sense to be finessable since thats not a brute strentgh way of fighting....definately agility based (dex) also maybe they could add Sentional staff proficiency to the rogue PrE Theif Acrobat tier 1 (similar to the way mechanic is getting repeaters)
