View Full Version : Have Adventures tab reflect Availability

For non-monthly players that do not have access to all the quests, it would be ALOT of help to have the adventure tab list reflect the quests that are available and those that the player does not have access to. It sure doesn't seem like something very hard to code since the "looking for group" tab already has the ability. If you do not have the adventure in question, it makes it very visible with a "Buy Now" link. Knowing the system has the ability to recognize what is available, translate it to the Adventures tab. Perhaps all all the unavailable quests can be printed as a specific color letting the player know it is a quest they do not have.

I have spent countless hours hunting down NPC to start quests only to realize it was something I did not have access to. There is no need to make the adventures tab so difficult for free and premium players.

Good suggestion.

Quite reasonable.

I said something similar last night.

As a vip, I would really like to know which quests are FtP so that when I'm running with a ftp player, I know which quests they can and can not run.

I think that having a different color print for the ftp quests would suffice.

Either way, great idea.

Great idea!

An additional feature that would be nice, if easily implemented, would be to add the Adventure Pack that each P2P quest is in and allow a sort on that column.

Even as a VIP I should be able to note those same quests

Definitely agree. The adventure log is of minimal use to me for this exact reason.

yes. for a non-VIP, the adventures tab can be a pain. Especially when the quest itself doesn't even reference a module pack. It's pretty crazy the amount of content not available to F2p. It's like half the quests. At least making the adventures tab changes would ease some of the frustration of locating whats available. I spent quite awhile looking for the NPC to start the "Desert Caravan". I finally looked up the info online to realize it was a p2p quest. :/ I've done this on several quests.

For VIPs, you could add a "Buy a Pass" link to the proper page of the DDO store to more easily bring along friends who are FTP.
