Well, it's been a while since I've been a part of DDO, and when I do return to the game I'd like to do it with a dedicated group. The idea is that of a (relatively balanced group of 4-6 players (including myself) modeled around the tried and tested group D & D was designed to accomodate; Fighter, Rogue, Cleric, and Wizard.

the idea is that everyone has an easily identifiable role in the group and knows that their shortcomings are balanced by their party, no need to multiclass (unless for flavor) and everyone is able to do their thing without worry about being outclassed by their peers.

the 5th and 6th characters are open for whatever really, but the obvious choices would be Bard (for songs/control/off-heals) and Ranger (for versitile combat options and tactics.)

Obviously a traditional team is not a necessity in DDO, but I find that it does help everyone feel like they really have a place on the team.

That being said, I'm aiming for monday or tuesday evenings for one longish session (3-4 hours) and possibly another short session (1-2 hours) on another evening.

Leave a post here if yer interested,
Thanks!

I'd be interested. I think having a dedicated group would be a lot of fun. What time would you be looking at starting because that might be the only issue. I'm usually on for 3-4 hours most nights but I can rarely start before 9:00-9:30 c.s.t. I've also got a buddy who'd probably be willing to do it to but his start times are about the same as mine. Look me up in-game if you think that could work. My main is Antello on Sarlona.

Would be really cool if you got enough responses to start two 6-man groups. Different folks could group together on the dedicated nights so everyone get's to know everyone else and, when the time comes, you've got a raid group ready to go.

By the way, I'm f2p but have purchased all the packs so no worries on content. Anyway, hope to hear from you in-game.

I'm 9:00cst is around when I get off work ever other night, so that'd prolly work really well fer me.
2 parties would be ideal (obviously) and I would love to see it!

And just to explain where I'm coming from, I'm not an elitest. I'm an old pen and paper geek that thinks min-maxing is awesome! because 2x ftr/Wiz < 1 Ftr + 1 Wiz!

No worries, I didn't take it as elitist. I agree that playing a single class has a lot of advantages and multi-classing without a purpose can be a real detriment. I talked with my buddy and he'd be up for it too. His in game is Baylore. Either of us would be willing to fill any role. So we just need three more. And I think Tuesday probably works best for me in terms of a longer session but I'm pretty flexible.
