If I do the resistance ritual on a bloodstone at the stone of change (I figure my bloodstone is about the only item I'll still be using as I get to endgame from what I have now so if I am doing a +1 resistance item it may as well be it), will that prevent me from later doing the epic ritual on it?

Also, the +1 resistance from that, it stacks with resistance items right? What about with where I'll likely be getting resistance bonuses later on?

The "Resistance" ritual gives a competence bonus to saves, and thus stacks with resistance bonuses.
I'm not sure how the Epic transformation works out, but since the name of the item itself is modified, I'm afraid it may be "destroying" the regular item to replace it with the Epic version, and thus you'd lose the ritual and have to do it again. But I'm not sure about that, it's just a guess.

i would not bind it if it is the only one you have . you may wan't to use it on other characters later .
