A guildie of mine (thanks Drak) said something last night that gave me this idea. It may be nice for the party leader to be able to execute a /headcount command.

It would count the number of people currently in the same instance as the leader, as well as give a short description of who isn't and where they currently are.

Granted, we can already do this manually by hitting the f1-f12 buttons, seeing who isn't lighting up, then going into the who panel and figuring out where they are. But it might be nice, every once in a while, to be able to do it faster.

I've always thought just a local group tab, pretty much with the same layout as the Who window, would be nice. Just a short list for the group of class split, name, guild, and current location.

Derails my own thread, but that's a good idea as well.

I love that idea.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a player level breakdown (seems like all of these could trigger on mouseover of character name in group).

Cant they just grey out the persons name a little or give the name a different color or boarder to denote that person is not in the zone? Then you wouldn't have to type anything, could just look at the names of ppl in your group and tell instantly. :) I belive other games have this feature..?

Oh, didn't mean to, I thought it addressed the functionality you were looking for.

If I am understanding what is needed, it can't be that difficult to do. If you have a party search active you can mouse over it and it tells you who has joined and where they are. Ironically this disappears when you either cancel the search or fill the group.

A party screen or floating tool tip over the name in the party list would be good, it would also save the 'what level are you?'s.

These ideas would be great.

I was the last person to join a Shroud group last night, and myself and another player got locked out o the quest, because some idiot decided to talk to the NPC just inside the quest entrance and go through the portal, before the other player and myself coould actually enter the quest. By the time we got inside the quest, the portal was gone, and the party was forced to stop after part 1, recall, disband, reform, and finally start over. it wasn't like we were screwing around and were late as a result either.
