Just throwing this idea out there, what with the rumors of additions to the Searing Heights area and all. This will make the area more attractive and ranged classes more helpful (less annoying) when fighting the ooze-types.


Short Bow
Minimum Level 4
Martial Weapon Proficiency
Damage: 1D6 + 1 Bludgeon, Magic
Critical Range: 20
Attack Mod: Dexterity
+1 Enhancement Bonus: This item has been magically enhanced. Armor with this quality gains a +1 enhancement bonus to AC. Weapons with this quality gain a +1 enhancement bonus to attack and damage.

Lesser Ooze Bane: A bane weapon excels at attacking one type or subtype of creature. Against oozes, this weapon's effective enhancement bonus is +1 better than its normal enhancement bonus. It deals an extra 1d6 points of damage against the foe.

Blunting: Regardless of the weapon type, the damage caused by this weapon is considered to be bludgeoning damage for purposes of damage reduction, resistances, and special enemy characteristics such as the splitting of oozes. Bows or crossbows with this effect will transmit it to the arrows or bolts they fire.
