Does Haste spell and boots/ring of striding stack?

I did some tests, and from what I saw, no - u run with 40% from haste only.

Nope. They're all part of the same category of bonuses (enhancement bonuses) so they don't stack, only the highest one applies.

I believe currently 30% striding is the fastest you can move without class enhancements.

Is monk speed considered differnt then? With my striders on my monk I can cover an astonishing ammount of ground in a very short time. This is not always a good thing in tight spaces but is fun when going from here to there without the ports in Stormreach.

thats an alignment issue barbs cannot be lawful and monks can only be lawful so there you go they cannot stack.

but that doesnt mean they dont stack, it just means that you cant proove that they dont

that you cant see negative materia doesnt mean it doesnt exist

Materia doesn't exist at all as far as I am aware. That is, the only "materia" that I am aware of, the funny crystals from the Final Fantasy series that allow you to cast spells or summon monsters.
