According to my.ddo.com (see stats here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=211903), Smokey's has just become the largest guild on Thelanis.

That's a nice accomplishment. Congrats Smokey's leaders and membership. It's not easy to build a big group or hold a big group together.

Do I have to be flagged for that?
What is flagging?

I would have imagined that some of your guildies would have said that.

I too fondly remember those days of... well, every new character I roll up being assaulted by blind guild invites from these guys in the Harbor.

Wait, no, that's not fondness. That's annoyance.

Come on Storm Lords, time to start recruiting! There needs to be some sort of race here...

Just FYI: I was in Smokey's Guild on my Rouge/Fighter named Eliphastus a few month's ago and I GUARANTEE that Smokey still hasn't removed most of the members that haven't logged in in 3+ years. That alone makes up a quarter of his guild.

Not trying to be a spoil sport or any thing but....meh....

It's not the size of the ship it's the motion of the ocean! :D

(But it's awful hard to get to France in a rowboat )

Wait.... really? I originated on Thelanis almost 4 years ago and there was a Smokey who ran around spamming blind guild invites to people. He was one of the reasons I left Thelanis actually... scares me to think he's still around and still up to the same irritating habits

The bulk of the members on that list have not logged on for 3+months.

It's the same Smokey. The one that sat out in the Harbor spamming guild recruitment. The one that's been reported multiple times. The one that has a massive guild and only gives the higher level players in his guild any notice. Yup. Same Smokey.

I pray you all don't look into the asinine antics of Smokey. He may have a big guild merely because he never cleans out his roster but that's only because he's too belligerent and self absorbed to put himself on an even playing level as everyone else. As a great man once said:

"He uses statistics the way a drunkard uses lampposts - for support, not illumination."

Yes, actually I do. It was said by one Andrew Lang over a hundred years ago in relation to an anthropological study he was critiquing.
