View Full Version : Feature Suggestion: Trash

Don't get me wrong, *love* the Inspired Quarter quests. One thing, though, that always jumps out at me when I am fighting things like humans and such that have a vast range in their power ranges is that there seems to be an amazing collection of extremely powerful humans collecting here, and absolutely no normal folks.

It seems to me, especially in content where we are supposed to be entering an arena that is caught off-guard, that there should be more normal, or at least less powerful, folks kicking around. More trash. More trashiness in some of the trash. :) It isn't like a level 10 fighter in a level 18 quest would be *completely* irrelevant and ignorable.

I am *not* asking you to take some of the existing "trash mobs" and water them down. Don't want to make things easier. I just think it might help the feel of some of those quests, that's all.

Along the same line, things like Feast or Famine... a quest filled with extremely powerful orcs. We enter their lair and they are unaware, but not a 4 HD Orc to be found anywhere...

The weak little guys was my favorite part of Enter the Kobold :)

Not because it would not be neat to see or it would not make sense. In fact, to both those things I would say yes. But because the justification for DA was the more mobs active at a time the more lag you get. Adding 'flavor' mobs that would either decrease performance or make them up DA's effects even more would be counter productive. Once they fix the real issues with the underlying pathing code, turn DA off for good, and lag is under control then sure why the heck not :)
