Hi!

Im kind of new to the game but i've rerolled a couple of chars already and now know what i want to lvl, i want to be a pure dmg rogue with a good trap monkey build, ive been following the clips on youtube and realized thats how i want to build my rogue, fast, sneaky and powerfull yet nice to pick locks and so on :)

Heres a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykEtfLqi7PU

im a little curious about how he can hit so much so fast, is that ITWF or GTWF? infact whats the diffrence? lol..
Also, whens the good time to multiclass? i heard that i might lose feats if i multiclass early but i've made up my mind that im only aiming for Assasin 2 which makes it important that i reach 12-13lvls of rogue but should i add in lvls on fighter right now? (im lvl 3) or wait until i finally got my hands on Assasin 2?
Also also considering adding a barb 1 for those power attacks.
fighter for the BAB as well as ITWF :)
yet i wanna make a proper trap monkey so should i play like this? rog/rog/rog(so far lvl 3 and now)fig/rog/fig/rog and so on, im planning on adding in barb later on for rage if thats possible to get on my rogue as well as the hp boost from fighter.

i would have added in monk or traded it with barb but i dont got the coins for it yet and i dont want to spend money on this game until i reach max lvl and see if i still like its content.
with this build i want to clear traps and so on and still be a rogue at most but i want to boost my melee dmg, i know that rangers also got more survivability by using wands and so on but im simply not that type.. i rather go insane on the dmg because i find it to be more needed in a group that survival, yet i want to be able to solo alot like on the link i sent with this post.

What do you guys think? go ahead and give me some tips if this is good :) at total im kind of planning of becoming a 13rog/6fig/1barb but its not decided yet

best regards
Neptuno

Hitting so much comes from the two weapon fighting (twf) feats. You start with twf and when you have bab 6 you can take itwf. This improves the amount of attacks. At bab 11 you can gtwf to further improve the amount of attacks. You need to have twf to get itwf and you need itwf to get gtwf.
You wont loose the gtwf feat, but you might get it later. You can achieve bab 11 at level 15, unless you multiclass for instance a monk (starts with bab +0 at level 1) you will not be able to choose gtwf until level 18. Fighter or barbarian levels wont delay you gtwf, because their bab progression is better.

Survivability is still much appreciated at higher level and at end game. As a rogue you should learn the use magic device skill to the max to use heal and raise dead-scrolls and healing wands. Getting high enough hitpoints is another important way of keeping survivability up.

Im maxing my UMD as always and so on, i always max the needed stuff but any idea of when i should add in fighter lvls? should i stick around with rogue all the way to lvl 13 or should i start to add in some fighter lvls right now? im eager to get faster and greater dmg with my TWF but will i lose skill pts into my umd,DD and so on if i do this at my current lvl? N1 still some ppl watch some vids and decide after that this is the way they like to play. Many ppl say hey split with monk, you get more ac. but what is more AC if you are one of 1000 who running the server with that builds.

Here is the build i will try to rego as soon i ve the motivation to grind all items again.

Yeah there are +2 tomes used at lvl 2, rebuild it with the possible to use it on lvl7, no big difference.

i am tinkering with a plan for a 12 rogue/6 barbarian/2 fighter

it allows for the 2nd acrobat enhancement & 1st frenzied berzerker

i am going to use a halfling & try to use a staff for the attack speed boost

sneak attack will = 6d6 + 8?; power attack = 10; str will be 36 or higher raged & buffed; frenzy = 3d6 more

that should add up to some decent damage, i.e., 9d6 + 18 on a sneak; 3d6 + 18 minimum non-sneak

I see that you went hard on the str build, i myself went harder into dex and added weapon finesse and TWF and i wont be using tomes until later in the game i think, as i mentioned earlier, i wont spend real money into this game until i know that it's fun during the end, if it turns out to be lousy and boring i wont look back and feel bad for wasting money on a game i eventually would not like.

although im planing to activate warforged later on and make a barbarian.

My current base stats is:
13str
18dex
12con
14int
8wis
8cha

Yes str is low but i compensate with that by weapon finesse, con is low but i rely on reflex and dodge, evasion n such, int is pretty basic for the 40 skill pts in the beginning which makes me a ordinary trap monkey, not the best but i hate being a tool, i got my cleric incase im lazy, this rogue is made to have fun, solo dungeons on higher lvls and deal a load of dmg, burst on dmg and so on, i'll still be wanted by groups because im an okay trap monkey but i know that i wont be such a good trapper on high lvls but that can be changed by wearing stuff with +DD/int/umd and so on so i guess i will be usefull anyways.
im just very cautious with speccing fighter at the wrong lvls, is there something i can mess up totally?

As im still very new to DDO i just want to make sure i dont lose feats, skill pts and other important stuff that can totally mess up the rogue, i wont be that thrilled to reroll once i reach lvl 13ish and then realize that i've screwed everything up... thankfull for any help at all! please let me know if i will be losing something important /except for the assasin 3 build ofc, thats something i already know
