Had an idea tonight about how cool it might be to play quests versus actual players...

Scenario: Have a defined series of quest objectives (with chests possibly filled by the Guild running the show).
Allow the guild to take up particular roles or play as 'named' defenders and let a willing group of players attempt to defeat them. There could be NPC guard types as well to notch up the numbers.

I would suggest no experience for this kind of quest, it could be purely for fun/training purposes. Balancing the levels would be potentially tricky, and would probably best be up to the players involved...

Maybe even allow a res shrine for the defending players...to spice things up further and stop people having to sit by for too long...
