View Full Version : Static Group on Newest Server: Orien (Not Permadeath)

MasterBurik

Currently filled, but if more wish to join, they can form a third group.

As posted, I am forming a static group on the Orien Server. We will start from level 1, skiping the tutorial (snowy korthos).

We will be starting Sundays at 7pm EST (9pm for Group 2)

Just a few rules, mostly common sense:

1) No zerging. Causes the following side-effects: Dungeon Alerts, Harried-ness, Death, Death again, annoyance, etc...

2) I dont care about whether you buy anything off the AH or get something from one of your alts, or a friend. Its still a fairly new server...not much worthwhile on the AH atm anyways. Same with vendors, go ahead and use 'em.

3) Do not use your static character without us, unless the following applies:

a) You missed a day or two and need to catch up on xp.

b) You are messing with your character, and not doing anything that gives xp.

4) I had thought of some light RP, but meh...we can if we all agree to it...

*Ammended Rule Number 5: Be either ViP or Premium, as we will have to use adventure packs around level 12 or so. If all the members have the same lower level adventure packs though, it would be great too!*

Other than that, just have fun. Thats what this is for. Some new style to play with.

So, just post a reply here, PM me, or look me up on the Orien server (I usually play on my character, Arkkan). I might post a LFM or something there every one in a while. It'll have the same description as this thread's title.

Not Yet Placed:
1)Greipr
2)Rjedi Occupied for a short while elsewhere.
3)Geonis

Group 1:
1) MasterBurik (Burik Archerus, Bard 2, Human)
2) Galeras (Galeras, Cleric, Human)
3) Halek (Crushr, Ranger 2, Warforged)
4) mickey2toes (Shadez, Rogue, Warforged)
5) Phainen (Phainen, Wizard 2)
6)

Group 2:
1) Cutter1968 (Taumond, Cleric 1/Rogue 1, Halfling)
2) Auerwyn (Zirna, Wizard 2)
3) Fridas (Evon, Ranger 2, Elf)
4) Varhann (Waileil, Monk 2, Halfling)

I'm in.

I'm already playing saturday mornings with a static group, so aside from those 3-4 hours, most any time of the week is good for me.

When you get 4-5 minimum players who want to join this group, send us all a tell and we can meet somewhere, decide our chars, and go roll them.

I would add 1 issue to the rules, and that is, VIP or premium must be required - gianthold, and some type of content that is beyond f2p, otherwise the member of the group that doesnt have such content will not actually be able to go past lvl 11-12 with the group anyway.

send me a PM or tell ingame when youre ready.

Cutter1968

I would be interested.

Best time for me would be 9 or 10 EST. As far as a night, I would prefer to stay away from Thursdays and Saturdays.

However, I am a premium player, not VIP. Hope this doesnt kick me out of the group.

Let me know. BTW, I dont have any toons on Orien yet.

I will agree that Premium or ViP should be required, and I shall ammend the rules to follow. For premium players, I would indeed recommend The Ruins of Gianthold, and Vale of Twilight at the very least. The rest would become filler. Just consider that since we will be playing once (perhaps on occasion, twice) a week, for a limited amount of time, we will be leveling relatively slow, so if you cannot afford those higher packs at the moment, there will be time.

Ok, so that's three, possibly four or five if I recruit from my guild later...I guess we are just about filled folks! I'll post a list of those wanting to go. And keep in mind we can form two groups at once! It would be helpful to have enough static members to fill the raids when we get to them!

I also currently play in a static group on this server (Mythal is a group mate) Count me in if the times to play fall in this range:
Saturday night 6pm thru Monday Morning 9am (Sunday night would work Great for me)

I work third shift (all night long) Monday-Friday and those are my days off

I'm looking to play something stealthy WF rog/Wiz

My toons in game right now are kwik, kwikii, kwiksand (not very imaginative but i like the moniker)

Cya in-game

I would also be interested if time is right... A Sunday Morning or Evening group would also be good for me. Currently am VIP with Veteran Status

Sunday night would work for me, it would just depend on when you wanted to get started.

I like to play fighter/ranger/paladins (not all at the same time though) but I could also play a healer if we dont have one. As far as race, I prefer dwarves or halflings. but again, I am flexible to play what might best fit the group.

Oh, and I am up for light role playing as well.

What do we do next?

I have a character that I would roll with you all if you'll have me. It could depend on the specific day and time, but in general my schedule is pretty flexible. Sunday night would work well for me.

We run guild stuff pretty much every day but I think I can take a break once or twice a week. :)

I would be interested in a Sunday evening/night static group.

I am VIP, though I have no characters on Orien,

I can play whatever is needed, sounds like a WF intimitank wold work well. :D

Could be ready for this Sunday.

Shoot me a PM, and I'll check later today.

It looks like you're full, but, if someone else can't make it, I'd like to put my hat in the ring for consideration. I am premium and have grown fond of playing a Monk, but I'm game to play whatever the party needs dictate. Send a pm if I make the cut.

Thanks!

I propose that we meet 7pm EST.
I have rolled a Drow Rog/Wiz (Shadz is the name)
As far as being full, we can get 2 or more groups going

Everybody roll your chars and sound off here on what your toon is and I will Put it in this post so that we all know what is still needed.

Well, if you'll allow me to join you this is the character I'd like to play.

My philosophy is the more the merrier. If we have more people show up then we can start more than 1 group. BUT, I'm not the one running this soiree, i believe in the power of the people...

Show up every one, and lets talk about it. I could start a guild for all those interested, that way we can talk through guild chat while we iron out guidelines and decide on membership.

All interested parties Look for my toon "Shadz".

Therigar - As far as your toon, I'm ok with that but I know Mythal has a little better handle on the builder than I do.

Fair enough.

Any assumptions that I should make? I know that you're looking for VIP/Premium players or F2P that will buy the adventure packs. I'm VIP so have that covered.

There was some talk about veteran status and L4 v L1. Also, if we start out L1 should we bypass the tutorial and snowy Korthos? My assumption would be that we would -- but I don't want to be sitting on the docks while everyone else is doing the tutorial and snowy side of Korthos.

Thanks for your patience.

Ok, Lv1 it is. Skipping tutorial (snowy korthos side).

From what I can see, we have 8 who could make it to Sundays at 7pm EST. With that, I propose the forming of two groups of four, filling in the last slots as soon as we can. Most of the starting stuff can be four manned anyways, so we could still start.

With that we need to fill the following roles in order to make viable four man groups:
-Healer
-Caster/Buffer/Skill-monkey
-DPS
-DPS

It's going on a first come first serve basis, so post what role you want, along with race and class (also name, if you have decided).
Oh, and pick whichever group you choose to be in.

We can start tomorrow (or tonight, if you are EST), if we are all ready to go. I'll be on forums on and off all day, so I'll update it when I see it.

Since not all of us have replied to this yet, I'm just going to fill up a full group first, then fill up a second with those who reply later + some friends of mine already on Orien, who are interested in joining.

I am building my own bard dps/buff build as we speak, so there is one slot still open in Group 1 for whomever chimes up next. I will gladly give up my slot in Group 1 though, if someone else already has a Caster/Buffer they are ready to use.

Also, if you update your character name, class, race, build, etc, could you put it in some type of color, so I will notice them?

At the moment there seems to be a lack of arcane types. On the off chance that one of the others is not planning to run one I started a L1 Warforged Sorcerer with max CHA and max CON and nothing else.

Depending on the need I can run him. I actually don't mind as I've run sorcerers in the past.

The group met tonight @ 7 PM Eastern as planned. I ended up on my sorcerer rather than on my fighter. OP was absent as were a couple of others.

Completed Korthos on sunny side -- elite in the village and hard (except 1 quest done on normal) on the island. Biggest issue that I saw was overconfidence and tendancy to run ahead. The quests are pretty linear but when there were options we often had people going in different directions. This over-exhuberance and lack of coordination resulted in a couple of deaths that might have been avoided.

Also, there was a definite lack of self-sufficiency. People passed by shrines when they could have rested to regain HP or SP. People did not watch their own health bar and run out of fights when they were in danger. There was a big tendancy to rely on the "healer".

We'll need to do better in that area or the cleric and I will end up just babysitting all the time and, to be honest, that's no fun. We checked to see if leaders had voice chat and mentioned that it was good for them to use it -- then didn't when the quests started.

All in all a bit of a rough start IMO.

Thanks for the invite guys.

I agree. We rushed a bit more than I would like and it did put a lot of heat on yourself and Galenas. Rough start, but we'll learn to work together.

I think we need to hash out the group rules and tactics and we should be solid.

Unfortuately I had a power surge in my neighborhood (some idiot shot a few bottle-rockets at the powerlines...) and they have yet to fix it. Using a work comp to type this...

Sounds to me like there was a huge failure as a start...I don't suppose you want to start from scratch again...? Seems you guys were all over the place...

Also, thinking of another concept for group cohesion...

I completely missed page 2 of this post. Thought you had abandoned the post...my bad.
In your absence this is what I came up with http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=215698

I want to be in this group because I want to learn this game. I am NOT the leader type. My organizational skills are not the greatest and my knowledge of this game borders on the non-existent.

As far as starting over: If that is what you guys want then I'm all for it. I would like to continue playing the toon that I rolled, but will re-roll the same toon if that's what we are doing.

Cutter prefers 9pm EST - would that work for everyone in Group 2, or do we stick with 7pm EST?

preferences =

1) Varhann - Monk
2) Greipr - Paladin or Ranger
3) Auerwyn - Arcane
4) Cutter - Healer or Rogue
5) Rjedi - ?
6) Geonis - WF Fighter intimitank

If everyone is ok with 9 EST I could be the leader I guess. I dont have any experience past level 7 though. And I dont have all the quested memorized and I am definetely not an uber player. But I know most of the low level stuff pretty good.

As far as class goes, I have been toying with the idea of a cleric/rogue. If we dont pick up a rogue I could try that or if we do pick up a rogue I can go all cleric.

Looking forward to to meeting everyone online.

I am written in for a cleric for group one, and I want it to be known that I am happy with that. I also want to add that if an arcane healer is more suitable for our group I would be happy to roll one. As a matter of fact, I'd be content with rolling anything you asked of me so long as I go a level or two of notice so that I could better prep myself.

Considering you and I are the only non-warforged (both humans actually), I dont think there is much of a need to change. Consider it a blessing:
1) More spare mana to spend on us
2) More spare mana to cast combat spells and buffs
3) Only have to heal them if they truely need it

I'm assuming, of course that the arcane caster actually has repair spells. If not, you're down the river without a paddle...
I will say that this will not become a all warforged party. I decided long ago that I will always be a human, unless Dragonborn become part of DDO.

Also, I've been considering the concept of already made builds, and the purpose of a static groups. They don't seem to fit in my eyes. I don't think you can make a valid group with such builds, as they are not built for it. Well, some are. I'm not saying you change it though. Whatever you want to do with your character is ok.

Are we rerolling the toons for this group?

Varhann
11-25-2009, 09:31 AM
I guess I got bumped from group 1. :) Not a problem, I'll stick with 2 then.

Cutter, 9pm EST works for me as long as we don't go past 11:30pm EST. Won't be an issue if we are in the middle of something come that time, but work comes early for me. I'm flexible.

I'll stick with Waileil (Halfling Monk - Rockan Roban build/Light Path/ Clever Monkey), unless the group really needs something else. I'm fine with Arcanes/Healers also. Prefer Wizard over Sorc, and if healer, would need to stay with Cleric (no FVS purchased yet)

I'm VIP, so content should not be an issue.

Please let me know if we have to reroll, meet up time and other details. I think we should go over a basic list of rules before we start so there is no misunderstanding.

I dont have a problem being done at 11:30.

are we doing korthos sunny or snowy? I thought you had to have one toon do the snowy side before you could skip it. any one know for sure?

I am not sure if you have to have one toon on the sunny side in order to skip it.Create a toon and find out. However, I dont see any reason we could not run snowy if group all agrees, if that should be a problem.

if you are on snowy and can't skip tutorial then all you have to do is travel to stormreach and back and you will be sunny. Then you can group.

As I am totally lost as to who is what, and who is coming to these, I'm going to advise the following:

Tonight, if you are coming, jump on a dummy character or the character you want to use. Join the raid group I will have set up, so we can see who is going to be there. We will then split into two groups, and discuss our team build (dps, healer, caster, skill-monkeys, etc.). Once thats all done, we go make said characters (if we aren't on them at the time), then off we go!

If you're going to log on later than 7 pm (like an two or more hours later), I'll have you setting up group 2. This should be a lot easier way to work out who's in what group, and what they are going to play as.

Is there still a spot for one of the statics open? If so I'd like to join. I'm coming back to the game after roughly a two year hiatus and statics are my favorite things to do. It's the perfect time frame as well for me.

I think we have 11 people so far according to our front page. If you are interested just show up on the sunny side of karthos on Orien at 7:00pm est tonight. Look for Arkkan or Renrick and we can get you in on the discussion.

Ok, correction, I'm not going to make it right away. I'm still updating the client. I've been updating it for the past four hours, almost done though. (I'm at 1,563% whatever that means) It will probably be done in the next few minutes as the last remaining files are flying through. I'll log in as soon as I'm able, which should be in the next couple minutes. If there is a spot for me, I prefer playing wizards, though I don't mind rogues either if one is needed. The only thing I don't like playing are dedicated healers but it looks like people have that covered already. Hopefully, I'll get in within the next few minutes to see what is up and what spots might be available.

Group 2 went well tonight with only 4.

Auerwyn (Zirna) plays an excellent Wiz, so the CC was a big help.

We had one death at lvl1 doing Elite. I think we need some DPS to help out. Burik, please send any late additions our way if you can.

All in all, not a bad start. We just need to slow down on those Elites a bit.

Anyone else have any criticism for Group2?

Sorry I missed out on group 1 last night. Looks like everyone rolled a fresh character. Would you prefer I roll a fresh one as well and get caught up, or keep the one I have, which looks like he may have a little more xp? Either is fine by me. Glad to hear it was a good fresh start though, wish I could've stayed, but, good ol' real life trumped me last night.

Burik - It was a great night to start adventuring and meet some new friends.

Galeras - If the decision is to roll a new character, I do have Renrick that can help you get through those quests up to elite. I did not delete him after the reroll, just created a new character called Crushr.

Well looking at these 2 groups it looks like the need the following:

Group #1
Looks like we could use anything, but I noticed that the hurlocker does not have anything in Open Locks so a Rogue might be an option. Unless we are going to rely on Knock spells to open Locked doors.

Group #2
Looks like it needs an Intimi-Tank or some beefy AC type fighter (dps) and either a cleric or rogue to specialize on what Taumond is not going to dedicate himself too.

That is my 2 cents. If anybody else has any ideas please share them. I think both of these groups are going to be be nice and diverse.

Damn, I can't believe I missed such a great opportunity. I would have been very interested in a sunday night static group. I'm not sure if you have a spot open as you have unassigned people in the first post, but if there's still room, I'd like to join. I'd be okay with rolling about any class but a paladin as my main character is one. If you want to contact me in game, look for a pally named Saleron.

For group 2 that was exactly what I was thinking. We need to take advantage of sneak attack and Halfling guile/cunning , but without an agro grabbing meatshield, one of us loses out. If things get too tough for us in the future, I may drop Monk and roll one.

As for the other class, I'll take anything. Another healer would be nice, as would another rogue, but I think anything would fit. It's really kind of hard to gauge how well we are doing with us only being lvl2. Character development takes a few levels in some cases to work well.

Still, we did fine and will work on our play strats in the weeks to come.

Taumond is a healer, but I should have enough open lock and disable device to handle most traps and such. Still, my primary role will be healer. Once we have more melee support I will drop back from the front lines.

I would love to have any melee heavy DPS type.

And I thought the group went great. We stayed together and on the same page and we seemed to work well as a group. It is hard to judge as this is all low level stuff but its good for getting us working as a group before we hit the hard stuff.

I cant wait for next Sunday night.

Sorry to see you go Burik.

Team 1:

Crushr and I decided to call it a night at 8:15 PM since we were the only ones there. No quests were run. (Not sure where you went Shadez, but I assumed after about 40 minutes that you probably weren't coming back.)

Anyway, let's try to plan for next week and I'd like to get a consensus for the remaining members as to what is the best time to get together. It seems like nobody logs in at 7. Is 8 better? Let's try to make a definite commitment here. I don't know about anyone else but, while real life happens now and again, waiting for a hour or more just to get started is really not how I'd like to spend my time. Static groups live or die by the ability of group members to consistently show up on time.

We also need to try to recruit for our dwindling group. It looks like we really need some muscle. We have a cleric, a ranger, a rogue, and a wizard. Some fighter types would be a welcome addition. Squishy melee classes do not make the best tanks and I doubt we will get far if I'm emptying my mana pool 3 minutes into the dungeon to keep the Warforged up. Maybe we should start a new thread in order to keep the top post up to date?

Crushr may or may not be able to come next week. He told me he's going on vaca, but he'll let us know.

We had a good run for the 9:00pm group. Though I was late the group was able to knock out Miserys Peak on Normal. Greipr had to cut out after the miserys peak run.

Then we did the following on hard:

Stopping the Sahuagin
Redemption
Sacrifices
Necromancers Doom

I believe I finished with the Explorers complete, 1 of 3 rares and about 209 kills for the slayer.

I will get miserys peak on normal this week and then level up so we should all be square for next Sunday night.

We could still use one more person either a strong DPS type or good caster to help Zina.

have a great week folks and I will see you on sunday.

Ok, so with the loss of two members of our group (which started at 5), Halek has offered to let me jump into group 2 since he is in 3 other static groups, which I think is for the best. Not sure about our other group member, I don't recall ever seeing him during the runs group 1 did before it fell apart.

So the question now becomes should I reroll or bring in my wizard. It looks like you guys already have one but also mentioned that your wiz needs a little help.

Suggestions are welcome. What do you think I should bring? I've seen some talk about needing a tanky type. Does group 2 still need one? Tanks aren't my favorite class to play by any means but I'd be willing to roll one if it helps to round out the group. But I need to know soon so that I can play catch up before Sunday if I need to reroll.

What is the current class make up of group 2?

Greipr
12-15-2009, 02:48 PM
I'm a Fighter/Paladin tank. We also have a Wizard, a Monk, a Ranger, and a Rogue/Cleric. I don't know if anyone else is multiclassing. I'm not sure what would be most necessary for the group.

NO TANK. If I have to miss then there's no tank so the Monk or Ranger would need to go for Defense and be healed by the cleric.

NO ROGUE/HEALER. If the Rogue/Cleric misses then we have no rogue and no healer. Since I'm a paladin multiclass we can pool our resources and try to get a healing wand for me, that could help some.

As far as I'm concerned bring your wiz, we can discuss it on sunday, we usually meet in the tavern to talk over what quests to do first. I'm pretty new to this game so others in the group would have a better understanding of what we need for the group

I play the ranger and I will have spells at lvl 4 and be able to use wands/clickies, plus I can heal pretty easy and I'm built for TWF and melee, it just takes me a few lvls to get to that point, and I'm almost there. So really its what the group wants to do.

Glad to have you with us, see ya on sunday.

Being that the group already has a wizard, I feel another is redundant and not too beneficial, so I think bringing in another character is best. I have two suggestions:

1.) I have a low level Warforged intimitank fighter focusing on defense and damage reduction/shield feats that I can just plug into the group. If I play him, I would not expect much, if any, healing from the group for obvious reasons and I don't believe in turning arcanes into a robot clerics (it is a hindrance to what they are actually meant for), so I'd just need to make sure i keep stocked on repair potions for the damage that does get through.
2.) I can create a pure rogue focused on traps (if cutter is not planning on going too far into that class)

Let me know what you guys think.

Hello,

Group 2 is full up. Group 1 has lost a lot of people and would consist currently of just yourself and Halek. So I would assume you can be a favored soul for the group, but that group still needs four more players. Since the person who started this thread has left the static, starting a new thread for that is probably the best thing to do in order to recruit.

As far as I know, Cutter is only going rogue 1 or 2. His chosen role is primarily Cleric. Correct me if I am wrong T :)

I'll say we could always use more dps, so a rogue would be a great addition. You could focus on traps early on if you like, but I would definately respec later on for a more dps driven role.

A bard would be great also. Any build would be nice for us.

Overall, I think you should play what you want. Just stay away from any gear driven builds, as we are not twinking at all, relying on drops, quest rewards and what we can afford on vendors and the AH. Many of the "sexy" builds on the forums are very gear/tome dependent, so you may not be happy with one of those.

We just hit lvl3, though Greipr and Taumond have some catch up work to be even with us. Look at the past posts to see where we stand quest wise and you should be good to go.

Glad to have you on board Phainen :)

Welcome aboard Phainen.

Varhann is right, I am primarily a Healer and was only planning on two levels of rogue, just to help out with traps and locks and probably wont take another rogue level for a while. I only chose to multi in these two becuase it seems these are the hardest classes to find in pugs and I thought I could kill two birds with one stone.

As far as what class we need I think you should play what makes you happy. I dont have a problem with 2 strong wizards or sorcerers in our group as I think it will help at the higher levels. However, another fighter or rogue would be fine too.

I am just enjoying being able to play with a solid group that works together.

I guess I am saying, pick what you want and meet us at the Tavern, we will make it work.

As a recap, here is our group make up:

1) Cutter1968 (Taumond, Cleric 2/Rogue 1, Halfling)
2) Auerwyn (Zirna, Wizard 3, Human)
3) Fridas (Evon, Ranger 3, Elf)
4) Varhann (Waileil, Monk 3, Halfling)
5) Greipr (Greipr, Fighter 1/Paladin 1, Human)
6) Phainen (Selise, Rogue 2/Monk 1, Human)

Ok, since there really doesn't seem to be any issue, perhaps even some encouragement, to bring along the wizard, I'll just keep Phainen and jump right in. That is probably easier anyway since I won't have to go solo all the things the group has already done since both groups pretty much were on even progression in that regard. I'll see you guys on SUN at 9 PM EST.

Im not sure if another wizard would be the best option. Who said I needed help?!? No seriously though, IM not sure how the whole rogue/cleric build is going to work out (its an interesting concept), but if T misses a night we will be fairly helpless in the support department. As far as a tank, W has proven capable to stand in if G misses a night. I think that a cleric/ rogue/ fvs/ druid would be sweet...(hint hint turbine). That is just my two cents, take it for what its worth. Welcome aboard Phainen. Also if you do happen to reroll the only actual requirement we impose is that your name cannot start with any of the following letters E, W, G, T or Z. See everyone at 9.

No one said you needed help Z. :) You are doing a fantabulous job.

Just to let everyone know I am at 228 on Korthos slayer, 1 of 3 rares, & explorer complete and 23,962 on XP. I got Miserys on Normal and leveled up so I should be pretty much caught up with everyone.

See you all on Sunday.

I forgot to mention this Phainen. I dont want to pressure you into making any character you will not enjoy. I have played a majority of ddo in permadeath and have noticed that almost any quest can be completed with even the most mixmatched group with careful play and sound tactics. If you wish to play an arcane then by all means please do. I just wanted to throw my opinion in the mix earlier. If you do decide to reroll and want help catching up ill be availiable almost all day on sunday. NJust leave a post.

Personally, im holding out for the druid class as a xmas present from turbine.

It's no biggie,

I wanted to reroll anyway but everyone said "bring your wiz" so I thought I would be easier. I like most classes, with only the real exceptions being fighters and clerics. Speaking of classes I really like, I've already got my rogue, Selise, rolled up and I'm soloing the stuff you guys have already done. She'll be 18 levels of rogue with 2 levels of Monk for wind stance and some extra alacrity. I'm not sure what level you guys are but I'm just going to follow the forum posts as to what you have recorded as to doing and join the group at that point. That will probably put me at level 3.

I used to play permadeath several years ago when I used to play. Loved that style, but constantly running the low content does get boring at times. Still permadeath is pretty exciting and you can get away with some odd builds regular groups would rather short man than allow it in their group. >.< Thinking of joining the Valhalla group on Ghallanda to try to get back into that.

Anyway, see you on Sun.

Hey guys, just want to make sure that I got everything so that I'm right there with you. Here is what I've done. Please let me know if I missed anything.

Heyton's Rest n/h/e
The Storehouse's Secret n/h/e
The Cannith Crystal n/h/e
The Collaborator n/h/e
Stopping the Sahuagin n/h
Redemption n/h
Necromancer's Doom n/h
Sacrifices n/h
Misery's Peak n

I also snagged the rare encounters, the explorer areas of the island, and racked up 207 kills on my trips through. Unless I missed something this puts me exactly where you guys are, but correct me if I'm wrong.

There seems to be an xp boost going on right now and this put me at 37,032 xp which is about 970 xp from Rank 14 in level 3.

I have had some family emergencies come up and I'm not sure when I can be on this week, but if anything changes I will let you know, I hope all went well tonight, let me know what I missed. Thanks, and I hope to see you all next week.

We had a great run last night. We sured missed you Evon, hope all is well. And Greipr I hope things are good where you are, we tried waiting for you but you never came back. Selise was a welcome addition with a mean staff and some great trap and lock skills.

Last night we did the following:

Stopping the Sahuagin elite
Redemption elite
Necromancer's Doom elite
Sacrifices elite
Misery's Peak hard

We got all three rares and I ended up with 366 slayer kills. I am at 33,823 XP. I think we are all in about the same area as far as XP goes.

I believe our plan is to complete Korthos slayer and then move on to Stormreach. No one seems interested in doing Miserys Peak on elite.

Waileil has talked of forming a new guild since the others guys have dropped. If anyone has any idea on this feel free to share them. I am really open for anything in that regard.

Have a great week and a Merry Christmas and I will see you on Sunday.

I would actually like to complete misery's on elite for, if nothing else, the favor. But if the group doesn't want to do it, maybe I can come back to it once we get to the point where it would give no xp/marginal xp.

The Message says full, but the thing says group 1 is missing a 6th?
Don't know which one is more up-to-date, so posting anyhow.

I'd Be interested in group 1's last slot if there is one. Can't make group two's time and stay for the whole time most likely.

Question: How long do you guys go every night? I could go to 10:00 - 10:30 from 7:00 for group 1 if that works.

Anyhow, I'd be glad to roll most anything, I thought a pally or Meele focused FvS would work well as DPS/ Party Aid.
I like Divine classes :D

If there is a spot, please just send me in game mail on orien (Toon name same as forum name) And we can set up a time to meet or something?

Thanks, Have fun with your static group.

P.S. I can easily catch up to 2 or 3 and stop there. I'll do all of Korthos and the solo onlys and it should cathc me up i'd imagine, so shouldn't be an isure there.

Hello Mavren,

The reason for the discrepency is because the thread starter has left the static. Group 1 is defunct as far as I know and group 2 is full. Crushr is the leader of group 1, but I'm not sure if he is still following this thread. You might be able to connect with him to revive group 1.

Phainen, I have no problem doing Miserys on elite either as I would like to have the favor. However, I know that doing quests over and over can get boring. We can talk about it as a group on Sunday.

Sorry we are closed up Mavren. Perhaps you and Crushr can start that first group again. Good Luck.

I'm up for Misery on Elite, at least for the favor.

But running the same quest over and over does kind of kill the thrill. I think what we need is some fresh Harbor stuff to keep things moving. It's only a few favor, as we have it completed on Hard. Plus, we can really take advantage of the Holiday xp bonus if we make it to Stormreach and knock out Harbor quests in good order.

With that said, I am trying to put together a solid list of rules for us to follow and a group/guild charter. Nothing too stringent, just a solid guideline to keep everyone on the same page.

What I would like is you all to PM me with what you think these rules should be, possible guild names and anything else we might need. I'll put them all together and we can vote/discuss/whatever and make it formal. I'll start up the guild under the name we chose and we can all retag.

Sound good? Hope to hear from you all soon.

We could keep the guild name the same since it was spelled wrong.

Im ok for misery on elite as well, lets just do it all. I just enjoy complaining about how miserable misey's peak is to run.

Also, is this going to be a regular guild with non static toons as well, I would be game for that as well.

I agree. I don't want to run each quest three times in a row either. It's kind of unavoidable in the first few levels, but I think there is definitely a way to run a variety of quests while still getting all the favor available as well. The way to do that is to run quests at our level.

Quests are the same level on hard as they are on normal and then one level higher for elite. At least this is what they say. I've always felt like it was more like normal/normal +1 level/normal +3 levels.

At level 3, we should be running all level three quests up to hard and anything lower all the way to elite. It could easily spread things out if we were to run each level 2 and 3 on normal. Probably level 4s by then as well since we will probably have leveled up. Then go back and run the 2, 3, and 4th level quests on hard. Then 2nd and 3rds on elite. By then we should be in or near five and can start on the normals on the fifth level quests.

It actually might be good to start on new level quests right away as we level to increase the variety that much more. It's not like the lower level quests are going anywhere so we can always go back to running the harder versions after the normals of the new level are done.

Some exceptions should and could be made for quest chains so that an entire chain can be run in order.

Doing things this way will spread out the quests for us. Each week would be something different and we'd be getting our favor by not passing up elite. What do you think?

Oh, and as far as rules, I think this is a perfect addition. I don't feel we should be running quests above our level, especially since we have decided to only use what we find/can afford with money gained from questing only. Majorly twinked toons can get away with running quests at a higher level than they are supposed to, but for us it will just be a major drain on resources.

Varhann

Great points Phainen.

I know there is a nice Quest Spreadsheet somewhere that list all the DDO quests in order by level. I'll poke around a bit and print it off. That way we could have a plan prior to Sunday nights, but still leave some room for spontaneous impulse quests. We'll know what we can handle if someone misses a night, so we could adjust accordingly.

Does that work for everyone?

Auerwyn

I agree with phainen, however, I enjoychallenges and a full group will not have any challenges on any normal quests and that combined with our time constraints could promote zerging, rushing quests. I would prefer avoiding that style of play as much as possible.

Hi everyone,

I am not going to be able to continue the game right now. Family emergencies have come up and I don't know when I can continue. I am really sorry, I would love to stay in the quild and I agree with all of you here in that I too like a challenge and so far the playing has been really good, I don't like zerging either and the pace we're doing is good but if you all want to step it up a notch that's fine with me, hopefully I can make it to the meeting on sunday but honestly I'm just not sure I can. I won't be able to catch up so whatever everyone decides is fine with me, if you can keep posting your progress that would be great, I hope to get back to the game very soon, it is my "great escape" and I will need that soon.

Good luck with questing and I will check in later to see how things are going, post or pm me to let me know what is decided. You guys have been great to quest with and I hope to be back soon.
Take care and have fun

Hi all,

I have created the new placeholder guild named "Covenant of Blood". Same as the old name, just spelled correctly this time :)

This name is only temporary unless everyone likes it enough to keep it. IMO, it is a fantastic name for what we are and the goals of the Sunday Static group. We'll discuss it tonight.

I have printed out a spreadsheet listing all Harbor and Marketplace quests, from lvl2 to lvl6. This includes adventure packs and total favor given for each on Elite. I'll keep the tally so we always know shere we stand. I only included up to lvl6 as a temporary measure as it should be a while before we get beyond that point.

I have a also written up some general rules. We can vote on these tonight unless you all agree to them here. Feel free to add or request removal of ones that you don't like. Please provide input if you can.

Sunday Night Static Group Rules - Covenant of Blood Guild - Orien Server

1. No zerging. While we all may or may not know the quest we are running very well, keeping everyone together is important for success with minimal losses in life or resources. We can pick up the pace as we feel more comfortable working together as a group.

2. No twinking your toons. We will rely on chest drops and quest rewards until that becomes untennable to success. Please pass gear you can't use to those who can, as these resources will exclusively benefit the group as a whole.

3. The AH may be used to sell off what you want to sell and buy what you think you might need. You can also buy for others in the group if you like. Please do not transfer money from other toons to help you out in your purchases unless it agreed upon by everyone. Try to do your selling and purchasing in off time.

4. Playtime is Sunday nights at 9:00pm EST. If you are going to be late or miss a session, please try to notify someone in the group prior to then. We will wait until 9:10 to get started for anyone who is running a bit behind. After that we get moving on whatever it is we are doing that night. Anyone later than that can catch up.

5. Communication is key to success. Feel free to voice concerns, isssues and problems. Keep it in the open and as honest as possible. The goal here is to learn to work together as a solid team. Keeping isssues unspoken will only cause problems later. We are all adults here, so this should be relatively easy (famous last words?).

6. No playing your static group toon in off time, unless :
a. You missed a session and are trying to get caught up with the rest of the group.
b. You are buying/selling on the AH
c. You are grinding Slayer in wilderness areas. If this the xp gained from this gives you enough to level, do not level you toon until everyone in the group also has enough xp to level as well.

That's it. Feel free to add input or discuss.

Fridas, we are going to miss you. I hope everything works out for the best as quickly as possible for you.

We had a good run on Sunday night. It was Waileil, Zirna, Selize, and Taumond.

We ran the following:

Miserys Peak elite
Bringing the Light Normal and Hard
Information is the Key Normal and Hard
Harverdasher Normal, Hard, and Elite

I ended up with 47,151 xp and 401 for slayer on Korthos Island, with all the rares and explorers. We decided that grinding an area like Korthos island could be done outside the normal group time so that we could focus our group on completing quests. So, Varhann I guess you need to add that to our rules.

Also, no one has heard from Greipr for two weeks now. There was some discussion Sunday night of whether we should fill Fridas spot or perhaps Greiprs if he is gone. We are going to give Greipr another week to let us know what he wants to do. That said, Crushr contacted us in game and asked if he could take Fridas place as he saw the post. Crushr will be joining us next Sunday.

I think I have covered everything.

Have a great week and I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe New Years.

Rules have been editted to reflect what we discussed.

I have sent Greipr a PM and hopefully we will hear from him soon. Otherwise, Crushr takes a spot.

Evon's spot should, IMO, be open for a while. At least for a few more weeks as there really is no content we can't handle with a 5 man in the Harbor. Particularly this group :) Evon, keep us posted. I hope all is well.

Crushr, welcome to the group. Glad to have you with us. Could you please update us regarding your current character. I am assuming it is a DPS build, so you will more than likely be our upfront man. I could use the help :)
Also, let us know if there is any gear you are looking for. We have a few this and that equipment pieces from the last two playing sessions that you may be able to use.

Happy New Year everyone. See you all Sunday.

Do you have any openings for more people?

I have a few characters that could help:
Level 5 - Dwarf Warrior

If I can tag along, the time works for me and I would be committed barring any guild activities.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get caught up and I just started, if anyone wants to come help me that would be great. I'm just now selling some stuff and trying to organize my space, so it will be a few minutes before I head out to the wilderness area.

I think the rules that you guys came up with sound really good, I'm anxious to get started again. I haven't played at all for 2 weeks and things are looking a little better now so I think I will be able to get all caught up by sunday.

I was thinking that maybe we could add our alts to the quild as well, that way if someone needs to get caught up or just do some other questing it would be good, what does everyone think?

anyway, if anyone wants to join me, I will be getting caught up.

Just goes to show you how fun a static group can be. See you all Sunday night.

If you are still taking on new people I would love to join up. The timing for either group would work for me. I'm also rather flexible as to what class I play.

Let me know if you still want another person, and if so what class is most needed.

Hi Thothdha,

At the moment, we are full up for group 2.

Group 1 has disbanded and some of those players have moved to group 2. With enough folks wanting in, it could get started again. Please check the thread weekly for possible openings.

Good Luck

I was wondering where everyone was meeting?
I hope to be on a little early just to make sure I have sold everything I need to and have everything set up. I was wondering what everyone decided to do about solo only quests, are we just doing them on our own time?
See ya all tonight

Fridas,
I think the general consensus was that we could do the Solo quests where Solo is the only option and Exploration/Slayers in our own time. Just don't level if that xp gives you enough to hit the mark.

I think we will be meeting at the tavern or dockside. I'll send you a tell when I log on.

First off, My cable modem died on me last thursday and I couldnt get a replacement until tonight, so sorry for missing Sunday nights session. With that said, since it has been two weeks since I have played, I am really looking forward to this weekend, never thought i would look forward to a sunday night.

Let me know what I missed and I can get caught up. Also because of the federal holiday on Monday I would be availiable longer this sunday, not sure if the entire group is, but thought I would throw it out there....

Sorry again guys.

Z you were sorely missed last Sunday. We will be glad to have you back this weekend. While I do not have next monday off i could probably go a little later than 11 if everyone else is ok with it.

That said, everyone else showed up so we had a nice group. We did Durks and Butchers on Normal and Hard and that was it.

Both W and myself leveled. I will put up my XP total later.

Sjiggie and Thothdha there seems to be enough interest in starting another group just from the replies to this thread. You guys should PM each other and see what you can work out.

have a great week and I will see you in game soon.

Great run last night guys. S, we really missed you. Hope everything is ok. Here is a recap of what we completed.

Garrisons Missing Pack N/H
Kobolds New Ringleader N/H
Recovering the Lost Tome N/H/E

I ended up with 71,766 XP, 134 total favor with 67 of that for the coin lords. 8 more favor and we can get another inventory slot! :)

Be aware that there was mention last night of starting a new thread, so keep your eyes out.

A quick question I had. We mentioned that even though we are a static group, members could grind the explorer areas on their own time. Does this include the low level solo quests? Just curious as this would effect favor and XP if some chose to do these and some chose not to do these.

Everyone have a great week and I will see you next Sunday.

Well I know I have not caught up with you guys in xp and favor, so I don't think we are all going to have the same xp & favor. Plus there is only 4 or 5 solo quests, so I don't think that is going to be a problem is someone does thos and some don't.

The only thing I would recommend is that we don't get too far a head of each other. I would say that we don't level until everybody is within 1 level when you level.

I still need to grind out about another 20K to catch up with the group. I think I ended with about 48K of xp.

Cutter,

I have no issue if you want to run the solo only's for favor. They'll give you maybe 2 favor each and minimal xp.

As far as running Explorer areas for Slayer and such, feel free to roam. We want to maximize our xp per session, but stay away from the tedious grind. The xp can be great, just don't level until we are all ready to do so. You'll also get loot from chest drops to sell on the AH or share around with those who need.

Speaking of the AH, I've put in some bids on weapons for the group. I've been fortunate with some decent cash so far from selling stuff we pick up. We'll see if I get lucky. I'll hand out what I've won next week. If there is anything specific you are looking for, let me know. I'll try to find some good deals within my budget.

I have 71,977 in xp but I also did the solo only quests. I have 146 in favor and got my xtra inventory.

I noticed that no one was really picking up dropped stuff but me, I love to collect and turn stuff in, there is some good things to be had and I can turn it in and pass it out or mail it to whoever needs it, in fact that is what I am doing right now. I can also post a list of what I have so if anyone wants it just let me know, I have extra bank space so I can stash a lot of stuff we might need.

Last night was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to next week. One thing I was wondering about was our strategy for "Stealthy Repossession". Maybe iron out some details before hand or does everyone like to wing it.

One last thing, someone mentioned mouse lock and that it would help me with swimming, where is it and what does it do? I'm checkin' out options so I'm sure to find it, but I appreciate the help

Try this. When you jump in the water, hold down your right mouse button while holding the W key. Move the mouse to steer left or right, go up or down. Hold the S key to go backwards. It takes a little practice if you are not used to it.

You could go into Mouselook mode, but I find that gives me a headache. The above method allows you to switch between the two easily. You always joke that you are uncoordinated, but this should help.

I also vote that our sessions not be wasted on the grinding aspects of DDO as much as possible. For sake of completeness if you want to finish the slayers then we should allow that (I am one of those perfectionists). Also for the solo only quests, we should finish those. However, I also want to maintain level uniformity amongst the group , so please dont level up beyond the group. Thats my opinion. See everyone Sunday.

What a great run last night. It was amazing having everyone there. I dont know if you guys noticed but I hardly got to do any healing at all :) its almost like you didnt need me :(

Seriously, it was excellent.

For the followers of this thread we completed Water Works on Normal.

I have 93,742 XP and am waiting to level until more of us are ready. I also picked up an extra inventory slot which was nice as there was plenty of grumbling last night due to no more room for stuff.

I ended up with 155 total favor and 88 Coin Lord Favor.

By the way, if anyone picks up any + bolts when they turn in collectibles please send them to me.

Though I cant wait for next week I want to go ahead an let you know that I wont be available for SuperBowl Sunday. I hope you guys dont mind if I skip out that night.

It was a great night guys. It's very nice to play with a group who works well together and at the same pace. We're not picking flowers, but we are also not zerging. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves as much as I am.

I guess if T and C can't make it on Superbowl Sunday, we should just bag it that night. I also have tentative plans on our block. My neighbor sets up his Widescreen in front of his house and the whole block pretty much watches, drinks, cooks and acts like complete imbeciles. A good old fashioned Philly block party, without the permits and terrible DJ. So, I will probably be occupied with Yuengling and Hot Wing consumption until the wife tells me I've had enough. If it rains or snows, I'll be free.

This week, I'll be running Cerulean Hills Explorer and Slayers if anyone is interested in joining me. Monday-Fri after 8pm EST. See you all soon.

I agree with not meeting on Superbowl Sunday. E just let us know if you want us to slow it down. I have played in pd guilds for the last few years and honestly dont rememeber any of the content past the catacomb, a main reason I got involved outside of pd. Anyways, I had a blast as well, hope we maintain this. Also we may consider recruiting another group that we could merge with for raids, I know there was already a little interest posted, just a thought.

No Worries S. I've was in your position way back in the day. Had to work FT to pay for school, had to go to school to work FT. No life beyond that for a few years. I don't miss it at all, but its worth it. I remember my dad saying that killing myself in my twenties would build character, and I remember flipping him the bird everytime.

Did it build character? I can't really say. But it did give me a work ethic that has paid off in my career. And I will get to tell my daughter lots of "Walk to school in the snow, uphill, both ways" stories :)

Hope you're feeling better. You didn't miss much.

S, Z and I just hit the Hills to work some Slayer/Rare/Explorer stuff for about an hour or so. Good run too, as we pulled about 3-4k xp with so little effort. Then I helped Z get caught up on Nash's N/H with my Barb.

I looks like we are all just about within 6k xp of each other, so it should be time to level if we want. I ended the night with 110,345xp. There are still some Marketplace quests we should hit before then, if we don't want the xp penalty to be too severe. We'll vote on it next week.

Also, E and I have some points saved to buy guest passes for Sharn Syndicate if we need them. I'm thinking we should run it this week to get some slightly better weapons for the group. The drops we have been getting have been far from stellar.

I'd also say we should run through the Catacombs storyline, but I think it will take slightly longer than a 90 minute guest pass would last. Too much running back and forth to advance the story. That's your call T. We really will need the Ghosttouch weapons for Delara's and more, but that is a few levels off atm. Just looking ahead :)

Feel better T.

Hey Halek,

I hope your wife recovers soon. Varhann won't be on tonight. He's on vacation, but he'll be back next week. So, if you don't show it's ok. I'm going to log in tonight just in case. Thanks for replying.

It's been a month since we've heard from or seen Z so I think it is time to replace her. Four weeks without any notice is way too long for a static group. Even if she were to show back up, I don't feel she should be in the group. Sounds harsh but four weeks of no shows, and leaving us wondering what happened to her, is just rude and undermines our group's ability to function.

That said, I prefer the arcane position in a group and, if it is ok with everyone else, I would like to roll up a wiz and catch up to the rest of the group to take Z's place. This will mean we'd need to find another player to take the rogue slot.

In other news… I am moving during the weekend of the 27th - 28th. There is a very likely chance I will not have internet connectivity on that Sunday to log in. However, if, by some miracle, I do have an internet connection set up in my new apartment that Sunday, I WILL be here.

ok. It's almost 10 PM and I'm calling it a night. W, it was a complete no show again. We'll talk next week.

I'm about to be a real ****** guys, and I'm sorry for it, but someone has to step up to that plate so it might as well be me.

Static means fixed and unchanging. Static does not mean that you can miss every other session or disappear for an entire month because you find something better to do every Sunday. Real life happens. I get that, and it has happened for me too. In fact, it will be happening for me again in two weeks. However, if you don't feel that you can commit to this group on a regular basis, then please bow out. It is inconsiderate and unfair to the people who actually show up. There are plenty of people out there that would really love to be in a static who will actually show up.

C, thank you for letting us know about your situation. I really hope all is well and your wife recovers soon.

T, please send an email to me or W and let us know your status. Are you still with us? We haven't heard from you in two weeks, which is very surprising. Hope all is ok with you.

F, I really appreciate that you post when you can't make it. Unfortunately, you miss more sessions than you make. Please determine whether this static is right for you and let us know.

Hi All,

I just got back from Sunny California and I will be on this week.

It's time to make a roll call, replace those who can't play and keep things moving in a positive direction. The point is to have fun and enjoy ourselves.

P, I say roll up the new Arcane. We need a replacemnt for Z. Those of you who wish to take a new role in the group, feel free to create a new static character and we'll get them in

We had a rough patch in the group with some bad timing and such. It happens, so let's look past it and keep it moving. You are all a solid group of players, we work very well together and I think there is plenty of life left in this group.

So, please post where you stand. I will tally up and recruit spots that need filling.

Those of you not currently in the group, but would like to join, feel free to PM me with your interest and I will notify you on the details. Spots are filled on a first come basis.

H, my thoughts are with you, I hope your wife is better soon.

Last night was a lot of fun, it felt great to get back to questing. I think I am going to check out what collectables I have and turn them in this week, I haven't done that for awhile, if anyone needs any supplies let me know. Hopefully I can get some good arrows and cure/repair pots, or even nicer, some wands. I tend to get a lot of robes so if anyone needs or uses robes, I think I have some resist ones. I am thinking of compiling a list of what I have so everyone can see if there is anything they need, and then I can sell the rest.

Hi All,

Good run tonight. Now on to the recruiting...

Covenant of Blood is looking for a Rogue or Multi to fill a DPS/Trap spot in our Sunday Night Static Group. Play time is Sunday nights, 9pm EST until 11pm EST. We are currently lvl 5, taking it slow and having a great time.

We welcome FTP, PTP, Vet or New players who want to try out a Static Group. Please direct your inquiries/questions to me in a PM and I'll answer promptly.

Give us a shot. We have a great time, have a few laughs and never take ourselves too seriously. It's all about having a good time.

Officer of Covenant of Blood

I hope everyone has a good week and I will see you guys on Sunday.

Hey all.

Fozzik is ready to go for tonight. He's not quite level five yet, though I'm in the process right now of running him through some catch up quests. I'll do the rest later this week. See you all at 9 PM EST.

Hi guys. Great run again last night, even though we just hit the Harbor for some favor catch up. Always a good time :)

A few new characters have joined us : Waileil was replaced by Wazhi. Selize was replaced by Fozzik. I'm feeling some good things for this new group set up.

Current group config is :

Wazhi - Human Rogue 5
Crushr - WF Fighter/Monk/Ranger 1/2/2
Evon - Elven Ranger 5
Taumond - Halfling Rogue/Cleric 1/4
Fozzik - Human Wizard 5

We have room for one more and we are still recruiting. At this point, any class would be welcome, so anyone who is interested please feel free to send me a PM with questions ect...

See you all next Sunday.

Sorry I missed out this past Sunday. I ended up in San Antonio for a long weekend and instead of getting back at 6pm on Sunday like I thought. I walked thru my door at 10:30pm.

Let me know what favor runs you guys did and I will try to catch up this week.

I look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday.

Hi T, we did WW on hard. And there was actually some decent xp to be had.

Okay everyone, I still have those xp elixirs. I am really hoping that it will let me trade them. They are an extra %10 and they will stack with the extra %10 that turbine is giving us this weekend. If anyone wants one to help them get caught up let me know here or pm me and I can jump on and mail/trade them to you.

My current xp is 142,558, I did hit level 6 last sunday but I will wait to level up.

Everyone have a good weekend and I'll see you sunday night.

Great run last night folks. It was nice to finish out TR. And I think everyone leveled but Crushr.

Just out of curiosity, are we planning on going back to pick up some of the lower level market place quests that we have passed? What about those Harbor quests that we only have up to Hard? Are we gonna hit those?

Hopefully we will pick up our final group member soon.

Have a wonderful week and I will see you in game on Sunday.

These are a few things I have that I don't need. If anyone needs them please let me know and I will mail it to you.
E

Robe of charm person, 3 charges
Ogre Power Belt of Lesser False Life, Str +1
Ogre Power Bracers, Str +1
Ring of Intimidation, Intimi +1
Dex Ring of Elvenkind, Dex +1/+3 Move Silently
Belt of Light Fortification
Outfit of Silent Moves, +5 Move Silently

Also, I get a lot of Bolts from collectibles. I don't use bolts, so if anyone needs them let me know. If no one uses them I will sell them and use the money to buy pots to disperse around the group. Let me know which pots you need the most.

Wazhi could use the Dex Ring and the Fort Belt :)
How I made it to lvl6 and never had a Fort item drop/quest reward that wasn't a robe, I'll never figure out.

I could use the bolts too, if there are no takers. I'm good on Pots for now.

Thanks E

Hey everyone,

things are really up in the air right now with my mom. I don't know what everyone is doing for mother's day, I certainly don't know at this point what is going on for me. I definitely want to play if everyone will be free to do so. Unfortunately I could be called at any minute to go to the hospital and I'm spending a lot of time there anyway. So right now I am saying I will be here on sunday and I will try to post if that changes. Sorry to be so vague. I will see everyone on sunday.

No problem E. RL always comes first. If you can make it that's great, but don't stress over making it.

We'll keep it simple this week so you have no issues with getting caught up. Last week we ran STK for giggles on N to help Mac get caught up a bit. I'll drop a line to tell you what we did this week.

Hi All,

I just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know that I will not be able to make it Sunday night. The In Laws just showed up and are staying the weekend, but somehow, they never told us. :(

Since my computer is in the spare room now, I out of luck.

Let me know what you guys decide to run and I'll get caught up this week.

W

Edit to the above - I will be able to make it tonight. We talked with the InLaws and they are sleeping in the living room tonight. Guess the lumpy old mattress didn't suit them much.

+1 for the Wife not buying a new mattress :)

Great run last night folks. We are almost done with TR on Hard.

Also, for E, we ran the depths series last week as well as purge the heretics. I cant remember if they were on normal or hard.

I am going to go ahead and level this week per our conversation last night. I think by next Sunday we should all be the same level again except for Mac who still has some catching up to do.

Let me know if I have missed something.

Also, Crushr, let us hear from you. Its been several weeks. I hope your wife is doing ok. Just let us know where you are.

Have a great week guys and I will see you Sunday.

Please reply so I know where we are going to head tonight. The plan is Delaras, but that may change if anyone is going to be missing. Not that we can't handle it short handed, but I don't want anyone to miss out on that xp and end reward.

Also, take note that due to the bonus loot rewards from the last two weeks, the AH is full of moderately priced weapons, armor ect.... Take advantage of it while you can.

I may not be able to make it tonight. We where invited to watch the fireworks from my friends boat on the river and I can't let my daughter down. They should go off around 7:30 EST, so I may be about a 1/2 hour late. Get started without me and I'll catch up.

Here is the listing of the new roster :

Wazhi - 7 Rogue (Assassin)
Taumond - 6/1 Cleric/Rogue
Evon - 7 Ranger (Tempest)
Macswagga - 4/1/1 Bard/Rogue/Fighter (Warchanter pre when prereqs met)
Pallyrezo - 7 Paladin (KotC ?)
Plasmodia - 5 Sorc

I would formally like to welcome aboard our newest members, Pallyrezo and Plasmodia. I hope you will have as much fun as the rest of us have so far.

Last Sunday, the guild hit Lvl 6. Not a major achievement, but from only monster kills and the ocasional chest loot, not such a bad thing either. We will continue with this "organic" approach and I want to stress again that picking a renown end reward is never expected. It will be a long time before we can even consider the benefits of an airship and we are in no rush to get there.

Hi everyone,

It was great to finally run the carnival series, I just have one little request. Can we go a little slower, lol, I was getting pretty confused in partycrashers last night and at one point I wasn't sure what we were doing. I'm looking forward to next sunday, what great xp!

Did anyone else get really crappy end reward choices? On one I got 4 +2 chain mail and an axe and a dagger. It was a little disappointing.

If anyone needs to make up xp let me know, I have a couple of lvl 5 toons and I can run some quests with you during the week. Just pm me when you would like to play.

Everyone have a great week, I'll see ya next sunday

No problem E. You can blame me, as I was rushing the end because of the time. It can be a confusing quest if you are trying for all the optionals and have never run it before. We'll go slower next week.

As far as end rewards go, those are just quest rewards. I got all vendor trash myself. We still have to run The Snitch and Under the Bigtop for the series end rewards. Some of them are pretty nice.

It was nice to have the full group on for once and the xp was good, so no complaints from me. We are working together better, but I think it will still take time to get into the groove with adding two new members. They both did an outstanding job last night, so I feel very confident that after another session we'll be at peak.

And just a reminder to everyone, if you need a hand getting caught up, please feel free to Pm me also. I'm on a few nights a week after 8:00 EST.

Wow, last night was something, huh? I think I was totally unprepared for running Delera's on hard, lol. So today I have been turning in collectibles and from just 1 guy (that kipling dude) i got 13 cure moderate wounds wands, and a few scrolls. So I will be sending those out in the mail. Plus I have 70 sun flasks that we could have really used last night, but I wasn't thinking clearly, so I will be sending them around as well. Sun flasks are ghost touched so we could all probably use them.

Anything I send that you think you can't use or bank, just sell or send to someone else.
