I had a lot typed up but some spontaneous maintenance ate my post, so I'm just gonna ask for someone like, say, Aranticus, or other people who can bust out the builds to give me a suggestion, or something sharp and point me in the right direction...

As I recall the Shadowbane Inquisitor was a rogue/paladin, and the Shadowbane Stalker was a rogue/cleric. It's been far too long since I've seen the book from the Complete series that had these classes, but I'd like to see if they are decently capable for DDO.

The way to do that in DDO is either Pal18/Rog2 or Rog18/Pal2. The first is a Paladin who trades AC and Weapon of Good for Evasion and a little Sneak Attack, while the second is a Rogue who trades a little Sneak Attack for charisma saves and a puny aura. Both are average, functional approaches.

There was a Shadowbane Inquisitor started up previously (link here : http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=195355&highlight=shadowbane).

Not sure how well it worked out, as it was a S&B setup it looks like. I'd imagine with radiance weaponry + assassin clicky crit bonus + exalted smites, it could be an interesting combination.
14 Paladin also gets you your 6th level spells, so you won't miss out on Zeal or Holy Sword.

/shrug.
It *could* work, I think, but would be different.
