View Full Version : Help me reincarnate my Batman Build....

I would very much like the help of the expert builders in the community with this. I have a human batman build, lvl 13 at the moment 7f/3p/3r that was created before 32 point builds were available. He had max favor for the time ( about 1850 i think)but havent played with this toon since before mod6 when the lvl cap was 12 but now with greater reincarnation i m thinking of getting him out of the freezer....
I have all kinds of +2 tomes for him in my library so no constraints there....

Lets begin the brainstorming.....

12f/6p/2r isn't bad. Kensai 2 w/ power surge, and KotC 1 with evasion and self heals via loh, unyielding sovereignty, and heal scrolls. Human is still a strong choice because of an importance for str, dex, con, and cha. Stats something like 18 14 14 8 8 14, or maybe dex at 15 if you want to go TWF route. This assumes you want to keep the character similar though. If not, you could literally make any build, since true reincarn doesn't limit you that way. You could make him a pure barb if you really want to, or a melee fvs. Whatever you like.

I don't know what you want from your character but Greater will convert your guy to a 32 point and allow you to change starting stats and Skill points and keep any Tomes you've eaten. This is nice if it will allow you to get Feats you couldn't qualify for before or "fix" skills.

Your Class splits and Level progression will be exactly the same, however. Only True Reincarnate will change that. And you have to get to level 20 to do a True. Plus you lose any Tomes you've eaten. So you might want to save some Tomes in case you want to do a True Reincarnate later; at the least you'll get another +2 and become a 34 point build.

I would only do a Greater if you want to rearrange stats and skills. That way you can maybe go TWF if you weren't already, or able to raise Int enough to get CE for instance.

If you want to True Reincarnate later to fix his Class Split or Level Progression just be aware that you will lose all Tomes you've eaten at that time, so have some back up Tomes.

So to continue your build I recommend continuing on as Fighter. 14f/3p/3r has Evasion, a bunch of Feats and Ftr Enhancements, 2nd Tier Fighter PrE, and a few Pally perks. Should get you to endgame. If you do a Greater then I definently recommend getting the TWF Feats if you don't have them already. That's the best advice I can give without knowing more about your build and what you want to accomplish with it.

No offense taking.. other then.. wow that is constructive feedback! That really helps the OP. I give you the troll award of the day with nothing to add.... so do you advice for the OP or would you rather just say how boring the build I enjoy is to you... oh yeah I find that you are such a tool boring.

So having a toon that can get almost all traps, intim, lead kills in ToD, etc etc. is boring? I agree not an original build.

I wonder if you run around with a barbarian, rage and kill stuff .. that is not boring? Or run around FoD with a caster.. that is not boring?

You won in getting my goat as I lose my patience with folks like you that post items that are Destructive rather then Constructive. You, my not-friend, are what is wrong with this world.

First of all i am talking about Greater reincarnation and not true. So up to lvl 13 the build must be 7f/3r/3p. What i was thinking is a good all around build, high dps, able to heal and self buff, high umd, good rogue skills a plus but not a must have.

Race : Human
Alignment : Lawful Good
32 Point build after the greater reincarnation
You can use as many +2 tomes as you like
First 13 levels must be 7 Fighter / 3 Paladin / 3 Rogue (First level is rogue)

You can go 2 handed, 2 weapon fighting or even shield.....

When in DPS mode this toon will be dual wielding min II khopeshes but i do believe you can also be very effective as an intimitank by going with a shield. Hp will be more than 400 and i m thinking raid buffed ac around high 50s low 60s.

Well, that third level of rogue hurts, because it means you can't get a paladin prestige line if you go for kensai 2 (i.e. it's impossible to get 12 levels of fighter and 6 levels of paladin). That said, you can still be effective with only the kensai line. And since you won't be able to get to paladin 6, I'd recommend going with both remaining levels in rogue once you get to fighter 12. That would get you more sneak attack damage and better skills.

That would leave a couple of builds I would consider, or something like them. The first would be TWF for the best DPS, but would sacrifice trapsmithing abilities (but retain open lock):

Personally I would prefer to go TWF and not worry about traps, but that's just a personal preference. I wouldn't recommend doing TWF along with traps though, because your attributes will be spread too thin with the added burden of raising int high enough for trap skills. At that point you would either be sacrificing your DPS or paladin abilities too much for what would ultimately be a minor benefit.

Now, TWF with full trap abilities can be done, and the two posts above mine would be a decent way to achieve it, but not taking fighter to 12 means no kensai 2, and from that alone you would lose the ability to power surge for +8 str, as well as another +1 damage per swing, and another +2 per crit before multipliers. I can't imagine taking fighter to 10 and then stopping rather than going for those powerful abilities. Unless you play in a static group that relies on your trap abilities, you're going to find that most groups take you for your DPS rather than for traps.

My old Bat man has become 12/6/2 Fighter Paladin Rogue.

I would recomend you move to 12/5/2 Fighter Paladin Rogue, this will open up Divine Sacrifice for you, which is fairly nice if you have enough SP to spam it.

You need the 12 fighter for kensai II. 5 rogue is nice for SA 3d6 or you can do 5 paladin as suggested above.

Even if you are thinking intimidate a level II prestige line trumps a level I.
