The current version of DDO on the live servers works most of the time. Every once in a while a quest instance will start sputtering and within a couple minutes the dndclient.exe will go into a "Not Responding" state and stay there. This might happen once or twice a week.

Now, the new version of Lamannia is mostly unplayable. It hits the "Not Responding" state pretty much every other quest I enter. Doesn't matter the quest, or the character, it just freezes up tight and requires a Ctrl-Alt-Delete to kill dndclient.exe.

This only happens under Windows 7 64bit. Under Windows XP 64bit, it runs fine.

I'm really not interested in hearing anything about, "Windows 7 is not released and is not supported....blah...blah...blah." You've got 10 days until the official release of Windows 7 and there will be a LOT more people switching to 7 than there ever was for Vista.

I will happily provide any further information that you may need to work this out, just ask.

Running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on two boxes, both have live and lam installed, zero problems. Not sure what could be causing your issue.

Well, this has been happening since I installed fresh with Win 7. It could be Nvidia, no idea, I have the latest driver released a couple weeks ago, it makes no difference.

Could a dev please respond and let me know what I need to provide to help work this out?

uninstall and reinstal your video card driver.
I got the same problem on live, my card is ati HD4850, I had installed 9.9 9.8 9.7 9.6 and then finally 8.5(8.6, can't remember), everything is ok now. Newest version of driver's permormance may good, but unstable and got compatibility issue.

At least, I suggest you to install different version of drive to have a try.

Win7 is a very good OS, most of problems are come from drivers.
