View Full Version : Do two of the same Past Life feats stack?

I asked this question in the big thread, but it probably got lost in the shuffle. Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere already.

For example, take the sorcerer one:

Past Life: Arcane Prodigy
You recall more about your past life as a sorcerer. Your maximum spell points are increased by 10 at first level, and 5 spell points for each additional level and can produce random elemental damage spells ten times per rest.

So if I were to go sorcerer > sorcerer > sorcerer would I then have 20 more spell points at level 1, 10 spell points for each additional level, and a random elemental spell 20x per rest?

Thanks.

Hey, while you were moving this thread, why couldn't you have shot it a reply? :p

Even if they did stack, would you really want to spend two feats to do it?

For the Rogue one, perhaps.

Wait - I thought it was *granted* - ie. you don't spend one of your feat slots on it?

Past Life: <class> (or whatever it's called) is granted, but the feats that actually do something take a feat slot.

The list of Past Life Feats quoted above are not free, you have to spend a normal feat slot to take them. The free Past Life Feats are the ones that these use as prerequisites (that don't do anything on their own, other than granting access to these).

Sorc - Sorc - Wizard may be good. As wizards get tons of feats.

but triple sorc doesn't make any sense. Sorcs get tons of SP anyways, why waste what precious few feats they get on more.

I don't think you can take the same feat twice. That would be like asking if Dodge stacked if you took it twice.

Even though you may be granted two Rogue past life feats, those are only prereqs for the sneak attack boost.

Sorry for being obtuse, I only find these feats here:

Are these free or are there other free ones in a thread I'm just missing? (If it's right in front of my nose feel free to call me an idiot)

I don't know toughness stacks .....

It would also be nice to see the higher level feats that have been mentioned but not yet seen.

*** Edit: Read from another thread you must burn a feat for the above-linked. And from that thread, I agree with all, it seems very stupid so far.
