How does the BAB work when you multiclass? Do they follow a predictable path as you level up or do you just get the BAB to the extent that you have that class. If, theoretically, you went 6 fighter, 6 ranger, 6 rogue...would you only get the BAB up to level 6 for each class or would your BAB look like any other level 20 character?

6 lvls of fighter give you 6 BAB.
6 levels of ranger give you 6 BAB.
6 lvls of rogue give you 4 BAB.

so a 6/6/6 would have a BAB of 16.

So, if I go 12 barb/6ranger/2 fighter....my BAB will be +20/+15/+10/+5 unless I add in a level of rogue or a level of monk.

it will more be +20/+20/+25/+30 (or 20/25/30/35 not sure how exactly)

There are low (1/2), medium (3/4), and high (full) BAB classes.

High: Fighter, Barbarian, Paladin, Ranger
Medium: Cleric, Favored Soul, Bard, Rogue, Monk*
Low: Wizard, Sorceror

*Monks' "Flurry of Blows" grants them essentially full BAB if they wield a "centering" weapon.

The progression is different for each type:
High: +1 BAB at each level
Medium: +1 BAB at each level except 1, 5, 9, 13, and 17
Low: +1 BAB at each even level.

As someone else mentioned, if you multiclass, the "level counter" resets but the bonuses for each class are additive. So, if you had a 5 rogue/10 fighter/5 wizard (just for the sake of argument, naturally), you'd get:
3 from 5 rogue (none at levels 1 and 5)
10 from 10 fighter (one for each level)
2 from 5 wizard (one for your second and one for your fourth wizard level)

DDO - gives you a boost with the LAST hit but retains the extra hit every five BAB
So, it would be 20/15/10/25

Well... Since BAB is BASE Attack Bonus, it would be 15/10/5/20 The final stat could be 30/25/20/35 but the extra 15 points does nothing to add to the number of attacks.

though youre tohit doesnt go down after the first swing, it goes always up

+20 / +15 / +10 / +5 this is the BAB set up fora 20th lvl ftr(http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Class:Fighter). However, there are MANY ways to add to this and some of them do weird things to the progression (TWF for instance). So,I am not sure what the ACTUAL used numbers are.

I am going to go TWF 12 fighter/6 ranger/2 barbarian so I will get a +1 at every level.

Thanks for all the advice.
