You have transcended your former race, and are now considered a Lawful Outsider. You have gained damage reduction 10 / epic. Warforged retain most living construct traits.

So are Boots of Anchoring unnecessary on a level 20 Monk? Anyone been banished after getting Perfect Self?

You should still be able to be banished since shavarath is not your native plane.

But what if your bind point in Shavarath? :)

Anyways, I'd assume you can still get banished.

Ah, but in DDO which plane exactly is a 20th level Monk's "native plane?"

(Yeah, yeah, PnP - Native Ousider, blah, blah, blah. This is DDO, not PnP.)

It's Eberron, same as for every player character (at least until they add Tieflings).

Being an Outsider or not is quite irrelevant to Banishment effects.

PS. Actually DDO doesn't always implement that right, but their errors have been on the side of making monsters immune to Banishments that should work. In particular, Beholders in the Waterworks are extraplanar.

So it seems then the answer is no, nobody has a level 20 monk that can confirm or deny the banishment's effectiveness. Hopefully we will see some proof soon.

I'm taking my Monk in there in about 20mins so I'm hoping we won't get proof soon ;)

I doubt it would be the case, but I'd be fully behind that small perk for monks.

I doubt it too, but I want to know for sure.

Agreed... this would be a fair change to make...

Been in there 3 times now since my monk hit level 20, and a couple times before 20. I still do not have the boots. Have not been banished yet... knock on wood. Being a monk, the will save is pretty high though. Must not have rolled a 1 yet.

No, because being an outsider doesn't make you a native to what ever plane you're on. You're still an extraplanar creature and that is what makes you vulnerable to being banished.

Next time check you combat log. I know that with the boots on, I get an Immunity message. I would suspect the same if monks were unaffected by banish.

the shavarath tieflings already have type Native Outsider and now take greater outsider bane damage that they weren't always taking before when they were humanoids.

FYI - the answer is that unfortunately level 20 monks can be banished from the TOD raid.

A friend of mine found this out the hard way.

My 20 monk receives a whole bunch of immune messages for the blasphemy from Horath. However, according to the combat log, he makes a save roll for the banishment component of blasphemy. As such, a 20 monk will require boots of anchoring to be safe.
