No it's accurate :) gharet and I are still investigating a bug that is causing this. In the meantime I've just CC'd the original thread here so it shows up in the fansite feed.

Lessah, your segment is too funny :D

Top five items I like to find on a new character:
1...Underwater Action (unless it's a warforged)
2...+2 weapon (Korthos weapons don't act as magic vs some creatures. It's tough to find out some creature you never knew has DR/magic)
3...Blindness Immunity
4...Poison Immunity (put it on and leave it on)
5...Deathblock (this comes later but about level eight, I hope to get lucky and gfind one)

And, as far as respec goes, whoever did that spot is looking at it with a naive eye. Sure there are a few players who choose the wrong class on accident. Why should DDO class balance be destroyed on the behalf of a few idiots? A lot more people will use the system to bypass the natural class balance built into DDO in regards to the class/level dynamic. In other words, they will build a Warrior for the early levels, respec to a mage as soon as they can get firewall, hit level 12 and change to a thief with outstanding backstab damage and way of the assasin, perhaps convert to a priest later and use blade barrier for a while...allways maximizing the abilities of a class at specific levels where they are powerful, and bypassing those classes when they are at levels that are weaker. Respec is further erosion of natural Dungeons and Dragons balance.

that depends on how they implement id, parvo
if you can only do it once per 3 months, then noone will do it the way you just described

They will. Because they have multiple characters, they will just park them for a while. Even if it's just once/3 months/account, folks will still level up a character one way then change it all for end game. In fact, as new mods are less freqent than 3 months, some players will respec every time there is new content. The folks really screaming for this are not the person who accidently got some wizard in his sorceror. That person already realized D&D is too cerebral for him and quit. The folks screaming for it are the middle ground players who want the latest flavor of the month uber build without any planning, experimentation or time investment.

The only way to implement respec so it doesn't screw up the character level/class balance is the way it's implemented now. Reroll.

Unfortunately I am not willing to reroll my original character as I have one time bound gear on him, yet I would really like to see him a 32 point build. Hence why I am for respec.
