Why not make the Plus Bonus to Attack and Damage on the Arrows or Bolts stack with the Plus Bonus of the Bow or Crossbow being used to shoot them? At most you would only be talking about another +5 to Damage, so why not make this change? Monsters have more than 10 times the Hit Points of their D&D Pen & Paper counterparts anyway.

that's an additional 115 damage for every 20 shots... pre many-shot. while many-shot is on should the stars align is up to 480 extra damage.

It would give a better reason to consider Arcane Archer PrE thou.

In practice, you would be using House D sturdy +3 arrows most of the time, so the boost would be a bit smaller, but still nevertheless signifiant.

Well really if the arrows just matched their potential that would be a slight increase.

I mean in theory by level 18 you could have

+1 Holy Burst Silver Arrows of Greater Evil Outsider Bane
and then attacked those to a Lightning II Bow

I mean what is the damage on a single shot there

+9
Shock (1d6)
Good Burst (1d6 4d6crit)
Shocking Blast (2d10Crit 4d6nat20)
Holy Burst (2d6 4d6Crit)
Greater Evil Outsider Bane (4d6)

Even if we could just buy some basic Bane Arrows or Elemetal Arrows without so much hoop jumping... would be nice
