View Full Version : Plat Earning

I just turned level six (Ranger). When I turned level five there wasn't any new items, so I blew my money on boots of feather fall. Now, I have a lot of new items to buy and no money. What things will sell for decent money? Any other way to make money besides selling?

ring of feathers

These are both hard to find. I have muckbane, but wouldn't sell it unless I get another one. Ring of feathers is extremly unlikely for a level 6.

I think what Hobgoblin is saying is to run the quests for the ring of feathers (stk) and muckbane (dirks got a secret). Keep running them until you get those items then put them the auction house to sell.

I'm not really in the mood for spending hours repeating quests for 100 XP.

the "crafting" collectibles can sell well:

Harbor stuff:
Tome: Prophecies of Khyber
Vial of Pure Water
More common/less valuable:
Deadly Feverblanch
String of Prayer Beads
Funerary Token

Market Stuff:
Sparkling Dust
Luminescent Dust

From House Quests:
Silver Flame Hymnal
Lightning-Split Soarwood
Fragrant Drowshood

You should be able to find these things in soloable quests -
maybe try Miller's Debt and Info is Key in the Harbor
Three Barrel Cove - seems everything you kill out there has a chance to drop a random market collectible, and there are several "nodes " you can loot as well
FOr House collectibles (Lightning-Split Soarwood seems especially valuable), try the "Depths" quests in House Deneith, Rest for the Restless in House Phiarlan, and the Everfull Flagon quests in House Kundarak. They all have solo settings.

People seem to buy vials of water for 2000 plat. Why are these so valuable?

They're used in a ritual that adds +1 AC to any bound armor. Kind of nice to have +6 armor ;)

Here check this out, look at the second post where it talks about rituals.

In a nut shell, there are some rituals that use collectibles to enhance items.
