View Full Version : General Game Flaw: Hitpoint and HD limited spells

Lots of people have mentioned how sleep, deep slumber , daze monster, cause fear etc are auto-nerfed by their "true to pnp" translation.
(and power words : XXXX) limited to hitpoints

All these spells should have usage beyond the specified limits.


The HD limited spells should have their HD limit SOFT, and variable on the caster level.

For example Sleep's total affecting is 2d4 , it should be 2d4+CasterLevel.

Cause fear and daze should still possibly work on higher HD, but the duration would be 1-2 rounds at most.


Power word kill etc should have the value modified by the caster level or linked stat.
