drow classes? Not really sure what this is supposed to mean but as there are no deities perios, why would Drow get them? As for Drow classes... there are more pressing needs than introducing Drow classes.... such as the actual core classes first

why not there? Why not what where?
why cant u play drow from beginning? two words: Build Points. As D&D stats are based off of 3d6 rolls there wasn't an exact translation to DDO. They set base stats and allowed players to allot points how they choose to create stats instead of creating a horrid die roll generator. The result is what we have instead of geeks rolling and rerolling and rerolling and rerolling until they get uber stats. It makes character generation almost a science while still being level and somewhat new user friendly. They did keep the racial stat modifiers and while I'm not certain as we never used Drow in our D&D campaigns, I'd assume they started with the +'s we have in DDO. That makes the race essentially better than the rest from the start so they created it as a reward system whi9ch is easily obtainable.
why cant u play drow black guards or assassins classes? As per above. Let's get core stuff in first thanks....

Answered what I could understand of it.

Drow in Eberron (the world setting for DDO) are very different to what you seem most familiar with from Forgotten Realms.

No Lloth in Eberron either.

Blackguards and Assassin classes are generally evil and there's no evil player alignment stuff in DDO.

for some more basic Eberron drow info. Google search will bring up some interesting reading if you wanna look further.

Evil Alignment content has not yet been considered, as classes and races take priority. Due to the Evil Alignment's omission from the current game, Blackguards cannot be played. However, a Neutral or Good Assassin is available, if you wish to roll a Rogue.

Secondary priority is keeping the powergamers content enough to continue playing... that alone is eating up a large chunk of the Dev Budget.

A Blackguard gets basically the same stuff as a Paladin, just in "Evil-Flavor".
If you want to play a Blackguard, roll a Paladin with some Rogue multiclassed levels , and roleplay the different alignment flavor. You wont be excluded from any quest due to alignment.

Assassins are currently in the game, it´s a Rogue´s PrE.
If you want to play an Assassin roll up a (almost) pure Rogue with high INT. And to emulate the limited casting of an Pen&Paper Assassin just use UMD and Wands / Scrolls liberally. You will have enough Gold to throw around with that stuff easily.

Ummmm, maybe because this is an MMO and not PnP? No alignments, no dieties, so drow wouldnt be any different.

Because of the stat variation difference between Drow and base races, you have to earn the right to play them (pretty easy to do).
