How come Stat damaging Hand Wraps were not addressed with this patch?

Cause no one plays monks/uses handwraps so whats the point?

Just throwing that out there...

Maybe because they did not have a fix for that yet?

Hey now. I got one. Even stubbornly uses handwraps just to make sure those cool new unarmed animations get some use. Granted, I think I'm the only one, but personally, I think the Dev's know that I'm the only person here worth coding something for :D

Sure, I'd love to see my w/e wraps work. But there are a lot of other things I'd rather see first.

I play one that goes unarmed most of the time as well. Unfortunately, he's currently in a holding pattern, searching for that +3 dex tome since the rules changed and TWF now works with unarmed..

I REALLY love major changes to the game like that with no respec capabilities.

Even if it was never changed to make unarmed to work with TWF, the smart money was on building for TWF (wether it be kama or unarmed). My monk has always been unarmed (lol :D) but that didn't stop me from picking up the TWF feats.

That said, I do feel bad for you and it would have been better to have TWF working from the beginning. But I guess it's better to buff down the road than have to nerf and remove TWF unarmed had it been too powerfull.

Monk just happens to be my #1 favorite class, so shush you :p

I have 2 of them and they somehow steal aggro from the Barbarians... the STR monk does it more often though

As for the OP's question, it's got a workaround - use kamas or staves for you stat damaging(i.e., Mala of Bone Break Staff for the Living Spells, Weakening/enfeebling kamas for other things, etc..)

Monk base DPS is fine with Handwraps... it's those Crits they need to work on. Critical Multiplier: Unarmed in the works anytime soon Eladrin?

Someone obviously hasn't tried a monk with handwraps and the 2weapon fighting chain of feats.

If you had, you would realize that you are much better off using handwraps until DR becomes a problem, or you hit the vorp/wound part of endgame. Hell even monk splashes should be using handwraps if they go with 2 weapon fighting, mine will until I can get min 2 kamas.

You really should have had better foresight.

So....You built a Monk and planned it for Unarmed Combat using Handwraps. Did you hate the toon before the change came out? Cause I can't see any reason for you to stop playing it otherwise. It still performs just as well as it did when you made it...Besides, it isn't like anyone but you knows whether or not the toon has the TWF Feats right?

Suck it up. Eat a +1 tome. Swap out for TWF (You're going to do it eventually anyway aren't you?). Enjoy hitting 7 times (Pretty sure at BaB 15 you get two "Offhand" strikes with just the one feat) instead of 5. Possibly move after the second hit (where you get your first "hook") to reset the animation and enjoy the boost in attack speed.
