Recruitment Thread: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=158991
"Omegahood is now recruiting. We are a guild of adults. We consider ourselves to be friendly, courteous and responsible. We take our playing and raiding seriously, but are by no means power gamers. We do not tolerate discrimination or abuse, verbal or otherwise, with respect to race, gender, religion, or ethnicity. We beleive in need before greed. We have organized raids several nights a week. Come join in on Tuesdays for reaver runs and Wednesday for the hound. Weekly shroud and Titan to be announced. If you are interested, catch us during a raid run, or just stop a guildie while on line and they will be happy to direct you to an officer, and if possible, help you in your current endeavor."Dark Tribunal, of the Khyber server
Recruitment Thread: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=159223
"The Dark Tribunal is a guild located on the Khyber Server. We are a guild of friends, who focus on having fun and supporting each other. Fun comes in many different shapes and sizes. You might enjoy doing things like Tavern Healing, while another member enjoys finding a new way to tackle a raid, or maybe your some where in between. All of that is perfectly acceptable here. If you would like to join Dark Tribunal, please please contact Scarlit our guild leader. You may also vist our guild forums and our recruitment thread here on the forums."Kill To Live, of the Sarlona server

"Kill To Live is a medium sized guild that focuses of having fun and helping people with gear and quests. We won't be the first to do the new raids, we might not have the most elite gear, but by the gods, we have a blast. Once someone joins, they're family. Any friend someone makes in game is welcome to join, no questions asked. We are foreign friendly and new player friendly and will mentor new players on equipment and quests without giving away any surprises. If this sounds like a guild for you, shoot a member a message in game and we'll get you set up..."Occam's Razor, of the Thelanis server
Compendium Page: http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor
"Here at the Razor's Cutting edge, you will find a group of Master Questors who excell at reaching Victory and achieving the end rewards. We also have many aminities to support your questing and help enhance your DDO experience: Exclusive to the Razor's is a Guild Favor reward system that promotes the guild event calander. Ventrillo VOIP servers, Guild Bank (for sharing and trading items), and Questing information such as maps and puzzle generators. We have guild only events scheduled almost every day of the week ranging from Lowbie Leveling Quests to Pre-Raid and Raid Quests. The guild also runs guild only reward and role-playing events. We enjoy each others company and play in a manner that helps each other advance (either with XP or desired loot). Most importantly, we are a group of people that have the feel of family without the drama. If you want to experience adventure in its purest form, to feel you are part of something bigger than yourself, we are the Guild for You! We (as of February 2008) have 73 active players, allowing us to have 8-20 members on at all times day or night. We are always looking for new members who have a good attitude. The most important aspect to our "play" is that we all get along and enjoy each others company. Group with a Razor and see if you fit!"

So any word on a date for Risia, or are hirelings still causing delays?

See, this is what I get for trying to be nice and provide info early ^^ so just remember my dates and times are always caveated by "baring anything causing it to be otherwise" so...keeping that in mind... we're looking at a possible next weekish time. I'm seeing if I can get the hireling guide out a little early though just so we can start talking about them and getting used to them.

Being the secrets leg runner is the hardest class ever

"Can I tell em yet?"
"Not yet"
"Yet?"
"Not yet"
"Now?"
"Not yet"
"Now?"
"Not yet"
"Now?"
"No"
"Ok.....

How about now?"
"GAAAAH"
:D

I am terrible at keeping them though, but I guess that's more of a class feature than a penalty :X

I'm seeing if I can get the hireling guide out a little early though just so we can start talking about them and getting used to them.

From two weeks earlier:

I might start bringing out some of the instructions for the new Risia stuff (like the Hirelings) ahead of time though anyway

Do the guides/instructions/stuff get delayed each time the Risia update gets delayed as well?

From two weeks earlier:

Likely because the person in charge of writing the guides doesnt have the info on how henchmen should actually work. And that info gets delayed everytime there is an issue and something must change.

They can, but it depends on what it is. In the case of brand new systems to the game, it's a fine balance because

On one hand yes, you want to start teaching people how to use it
But the last thing you want to do is present a guide too early, have some functionality change, and then you have players who learned the "old way" and it takes a long time to work that incorrect info back out of the population. Meanwhile those people bang their heads on the wall going "but the guide SAID!!!" - since we're the ones who put the guide out, they're counting on us to be "accurate". Even though it's Risia, it's still important the guide be at least appropriate for Risia itself.

it would not be a big deal if the people that you worked for timely updated this game

people are starved for content around here

these hirelings better be good

what about the release notes, it can't all be about hirelings.
If you gave us that you would have us busy for at least a week.:D

Just a bit of an explanation on the Ask the Devs Unplugged thing:

Basically, I've been collecting a bunch of submissions. I've probably gotten 60-80% of them on the show, but there's just not always enough time to get everything answered. So, Tolero approached me to see if we couldn't bring those unanswered to the Chronicle! Sounds good to me.

Please, please keep submitting questions to Ask the Devs - we're getting pretty close to being caught up on it all, so now's a great time to send them in! Send 'em to ddocast@gmail.com

LOL. I'm amazed at how difficult waiting a week is... :)

Like sitting on a Big freakin' tack the whole time !

I have an unrelated question about enhancement/effects: Weapons almost never have lower teir Sonic effects, mostly it is the Thundering (bursting) effect based on Crits. Acid weapons are short on the Upper teir (bursting) effect. I was wondering if there was an intentional shortcoming on these in the random generation table ? Also has there been any thought given to Enhancements in the caster's line to Sonic element and possibly the Schools of casting i.e: Illusion, necromancy, alteration, abjuration, etc...

I know Druids are a long way off so I will refrain from going into questions concerning their spell lines.

I would also like to thank all of the persons responsible for making this diversion (game) a great source of enjoyment for me and my running-mates. Keep up the hard work and know it is appreciated.

LOL. I'm amazed at how difficult waiting a week (or 13 years) is... :)

To put it in perspective, I threw some red up into your quote. I've waited that long for the woman I love and it's about to happen. :)

And that's not searching, that's knowing (and not being able to be together). So, we all know mod 8 is coming much sooner than that. I think that's groovy.

Can you at least tell us whether we'll be able to pick names for our henchmen?

Mine will all have names like "Cannon Fodder" and "Ghoste's Slave Girl".

I could see this going very badly because I'm sure we'd see ones like a halfling under the control of Yaga by the name of Ramses & a dwarf by the name of Tot following Mhykke while Blah runs around with every name that's ever told him to die as his own personal death toy.

And let's not even assume what people would be doing with their "Kistilan" henchmen, alone... in the Sunken Sewer.... without any lockpicks and only one knock spell that only Kistilan can do proper. See? The game just won't be PG-13 anymore if this happens....

Also, we'll see The BigSexy runn'n around in his underwear way too often - nor will it be original any longer.
