I thought some of you might want to know that Richard Wright, founding member and keyboardist of Pink Floyd has lost his battle with cancer. :(

How many others listened to Floyd when you were crawling through a dungeon? (Especially Echoes!)

Ya man, I was quite saddend to find this out too. I'm a HUGE Floyd fan, and it's disappointing to know that now they can never reunite...looks like Live 8 was the last time we will ever see the four them onstage together.

And i'm always jamming to Floyd during dungeon craws...usually the Meddle album or Animals.

I was sad to learn of Wright's death. My father owned Umma Gumma and played it for friends when I was two, so I've been a fan of Pink Floyd for more than forty years that I can remember.

"Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict."

Best song title ever.

Yeah, totally sad news. I've been a pink floyd fan since I was very, very young. Dark Side of the Moon was one of the first things I remember hearing as a kid, I was like 2 years old.

I have been a fan of Floyd for most of my years on this Earth. I have spent many an hour dungeon crawling with them as my background music. Music like theirs reminds me why life is so special and important. We have lost a great musician and artist.

I was turned on to Floyd in '73 by my late stepfather. It is a sad day indeed. I dread the day David Gilmour leaves us.

I agree Mithran! Best title ever!

Wish I could've been around in those days....alas, i was born in '83....but it goes to show that great music transcends generations.
