NOTE: I have discontinued this thread. Furthermore with the release of Update 17 Patch 1, Turbine has totally changed this system (for the worse IMNSHO), increasing the required turn ins by a factor of 10 (this is why the change is for the worse IMNSHO). As such, the information contained below is no longer guarenteed to be either accurate or useful. Besides who really wants to collect Strings of Prayer Beads fromhigh level quests (such as Enter the Kobold, and higher) to get a sure light wounds potion? Additionally, many collectables were and still are used in the Cannith Crafting system, which IMNSHO was a good change to the collectable system.

I. Introduction
The main purpose of the this thread is to provide players a complete list of all the collectables available in the game, who collects them, and what you can receive for turning them into the appropriate collector.

There are so many collectable items found throughout Stormreach and the surrounding environs that it can be extremely daunting and overwhelming. This work is a compilation of information I’ve gathered from my own game play experience, with initial information provided from the DDOWiki when I first created the original thread, and through the efforts and feedback of players like yourselves, who have submitted updated information over the last couple of years. In particular, I’d like to thank Kalaris for the work on what interact-able items provide each collectable and DaveyCrockett for compiling the collectables from Module 5 during my leave of absence.

Format: Collectables are listed by the section of the city that their collector can be found in.

Specific information about each collectable is listed as follows:

Type of Collector – Name of Collector -- Where they can be found
Name of collectable -- number required to turn in -- what you can get
Collectable Nodes: where they can be found

*** NEW *** There are approximately 110 different collectables that can go into your collectable bags.

For more information on crafting please see this thread: Eldritch Rituals Cookbook (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=132855). I have updated the list to point out which collectables are required for each crafting ritual and how many are required.

If you have any additions, updated information, please either post it here or PM me.

II. Collectable Bags

During the early days of the game, and well into the second year of the game, inventory management was a real problem when it came to collectables, as collectables just took up way too much room in your inventory to be worth picking up, despite the beneficial items you could receive for taking the time to collect sufficient amounts of items and turn them in. Turbine answered, and introduced Collectable and Gem Bags with the release of Module 5. Collectable Bags come in three different sizes; Small, Medium and Large. Small Bags can store 12 amount of different collectables, Medium Bags can store 30, while Large Bags can store 80 different Collectables.

Small Collectable Bags can be obtained as a quest reward from Mari Mosshand, in the Harbor immediately upon your arrival in Stormreach. This is the only place that I’m aware of that you can acquire small Collectable and Gem Bags. Medium Collectable and Gem Bags can be purchased from the General Vendor, Troy Alzander, inside Empty Handed in House Jorasco, from the General Vendor, Drudori Alzander, inside Erstwhile Emporium in House Phiarlan, and from General Vendor, Gage Alzander, inside the Portable Hole for the reasonable sum of around 80,000 gold pieces depending on your Haggle Skill. Large Collectable and Gem Bags are extremely rare and can only be found as loot during your adventures, or if you have the platinum they can be found for sale on the Auction House for a significant amount from time to time. As of Module 7, Large Bags can also be had by turning in Planar Shards to a Collector in the Marketplace in the old Marketplace Tent Ruins, just above the entrance to the Subterran.

Collectable Bags will store your collectables based upon who collects them and which part of the city they are located. There is an error with some of the House Deneith Collectables though. The collectors atop the House Deneith Tower do not show up under House Deneith in your Collectables Bag, instead they are listed under The Marketplace.

Module 9 Introduces 3 Types of Ebberon Dragon Shard Collectables: Small, Medium and Large.

These collectables are turned into some of the normal collectors. Once you have turned in your Ebberon Dragon Shard(s), they ask for your help completing a formula they are working on. If you can correct in solving (or guess the answer) the formula they will give you a bonus item as well.

**** DATA CALL **** I am looking for some more data as to what they give you if you successfully complete the formula for them

Special thanks to Dragon.Star for compiling this information in his List of New Named Items on Lamannia (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=178745) thread. The items listed below for Turning in Ebberon Dragon shards were from the Closed Beta over the Summer of 2009. I personally have only confirmed one of them on the Live Servers since September 2009. It is noted below. The formulas they ask about seem to be completely random.

This section is more then a little misleading. The 20 required for flagging for the reaver are all turned into 1 person, not the quest givers for POP, Crucible, and Madstone. I expect Jerry is going to receive a lot of emails saying this is incorrect info.

Thanks for the feed back, I'm going clarify that right now. Wish someone had mentioned it earlier. I've never seaid it was perfect. I even found a few minor errors the other day when I was looking things over.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Is there anything else you'd like to see? I am working on putting together a list of good quests to farm the crafting ingredients, as well as getting a better understanding of how the Ancient Bronze Token turn in works in the Desert.

Well if you want to farm deadly feverblanch, till they take the Jester out in a week, there are 3 mushrooms in marketplace, 3(?) in J, and 2 in P. Also if multiple instances of marketplace spawn you can hit each instance for the collectibles. I hadn't noticed this till someone told me 2 weeks ago, and I think I already got enough Feverblanch from flipping char to char to fund crafting rituals for the rest of my life.

Steiner, thanks for all the great info.

While I have it in my mind, have you seen or heard anything about the Shroud Optionals:

Portal Fragments 100 needed
Healing Totem 100 needed
Infernal Pacts 100 needed
Bladestorm Fragments 100 needed

After several hundred runs collecting them still seems a bit out of reach but I'd like to find out what it is they do.

the antique bronze tokens from the desert
I see them dropping in other quest now too. I doubt many people actually collect them. i just do because I am a pack rat. 2000+ or whatever it is these days seems like way too many to save up for what will probably be a random lvl 8 **** drop anyway. But with my luck I will be in line right next to the guy that pulls the +4 tome from that collector turn in.

Pigment Collector - Peta Flashpin - outside Lordsmarch Bank towards House Phiarlan, below and to the right of the Stone of Change.
Pinch of Glittering Dust --- 3 --- Lvl 2 Spell Scroll
Thimble of Sparkling Dust --- 2 --- Lvl 3 Spell Wand 6 required for the Force Critical Damage Crafting Ritual
Jigger of Luminescent Dust --- 1 --- Robe of lesser Elemental Resistance, Robe of Stability, and other similarly valued Enchantments 3 required for the Force Damage Crafting Ritual
Note: Peta tends to give out a mix of both Divine and Arcane based scrolls and wands, but mostly Arcane.
Collectable Nodes: Moss, seems to be mostly in Marketplace based quests.
Locations: Sparling Dust - Red Fang woodpile to the right after you kill Red Fang. Enemy Within, in House J, has 13 Alchemy Tables great for dusts.

Just a note the woodpile in redfang's lair to the right is now a random drop. 14 runs only 4 sparkling dusts.

I'm glad to hear that people are finding it useful and worthwhile. I think this is a much overlooked part of the game, thanks to the inventory management problems we all seem to have.

And for those of you who have been listing to the DDOCast segment and think I've disappeared recently, have no fear. I'm still around and have some great segements planned for the future.

But unfortunately real life has been getting in the way of my contribuation to the PodCast of late. I have 16 days left until I turn in my Thesis for my Master's program and I'm done with Grad school. So, when I say I've been a bit distracted I'm not kidding. But it will all be over shortly. And on top of the stress and time commitments that grad school has been placing on me of late, I'm starting a new job here next week which will have me traveling a lot more, including on day #1 of the job so.... Foruntately I have a laptop capable of running DDO and a decent headset with mic for doing the show on the road, and of course playing DDO too...

I expect that my next segment for DDOCast will be sometime around the middle of April (schedule permitting), as I will be taking a much deserved vacation for a week right after I finish grad school.

Ruddy Fungi --- 3 --- +1 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).
Bloodfest Fungi --- 2 --- +2 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).
Sanguine Moth --- 1 --- +3 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).

Collectable Nodes: Mushrooms from the Restless Isles Quests

Ritual Paraphernalia Collector - Maxon Dreamwalker - Top of House Deneith

Blessed Candles --- 3 --- +1 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).
Silver Bowls --- 2 --- +2 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).
Ritual Athame --- 1 --- +3 Potion of Skill (effects skills) or Influence (Stat increase) (both stack with other enhancers).

Collectable Nodes: Cabinets, Crude Altars

Excellent guide. 5 stars.

But some possible updates:

Might wanna include which of these is which, as these collectables are very rare and difficult to get, but the potions provided are quite useful indeed.
Here's the types:
Drow Artifact Collector: Strength and Con
Text Collector: Intelligence and Wisdom
Fungus Collector: Dexterity
Ritual Paraphernalia Collector: Charisma

Another nice addition would be a rough guide of where to find these, as certain ones only drop in a handful of quests.

Here's what I know:
Ritual Paraphernalia - does not drop off monsters at all. Only from adventure packs I believe, most any adventurer pack in lvl12+ quests. Perhaps also some bookshelves. I get most of this from the quest "let sleeping dust lie" as it has several adventurer packs that you basicly need to go to in order to complete the quest.

Drow Artifacts: Very rare.. I only know a few monsters that can drop it, and doesn't come from collectable nodes. High lvl gargoyles drop them (lvl10+ quests) such as the gargoyle juggernauts in the littany of the dead.
You'd think Drow should drop them, but most drow do not. I think the only drow that drop them are the ones in the vulkoor spiral in the desert.
You'd also think scorpians drop the icons, but scorpions never have collectables at all.
Edit: I have gotten the chipped bone talismans off adventurer packs lately, just never the higher ones.

Anyone else know where to get the Ivory Scoprion Icons and Tears of Vulkoor?

(bone chipped talismans I find are more common and not that good as they almost always give you +1 str skill potions and not stat)

FYI some of this info is also avaliable in the wiki.

Finally had a few minutes ot update the thread with the New Module 9 Ebberon Dragon Shard Collectables.

I would love some help getting some screen shots of the missing items, so either feel free to to turn the Shards in and take screen shots or send me some shards. If you turn the shards in please make sure you note the following:

What size shards you turned in
Who you gave them to
What answer you gave
What they gave you in return
Screen Shot of the item received.

Excellent data base. Much appreciated.

If I could somehow get you to spend a little more time on this. A printable spreadsheet or document would be really cool. Sometimes printing is easier to read than scrolling multiple posts. Also with a spreadsheet, it can be sorted by collectable. Which means I can sort alphabetically to see what can be turned into what. Inventory full, dump the trash collectibles. Also if you could add a value rating, then it could be sorted by worth. Whatever you can do, Im sure many of us will us it. !!!!

Also newbies would prolly appreciate knowing when they have something thats worth keeping. Some kind of designation.

I just did a turn-in with Xovun and got the answer right, and it was NOT 27. The question likely changes each time randomly. And, you don't have to answer a question first to turn in these items. You turn them in, then get asked for more help. If you get it right, you get another random item. [hopefully I didn't say anything that will get me in trouble...I wasn't specific about anything, just trying to correct misinformation on a guide...forgivest thou if I've said too much.] And I really don't even see how you are able to make a public list of mod 9 content for all to see...you're being QUITE specific in giving away beta info. that isn't supposed to even be mentioned.

Module 9 Introduces 3 Types of Ebberon Dragon Shard Collectables: Small, Medium and Large.

These collectables are turned into some of the normal collectors, but first you have to help them finish their recipe, by helping them with the formula. When possible I have indicated the correct answer for the specified reward, and linkd the item to a screen shot.

Special thanks to Dragon.Star for compiling this information in his List of New Named Items on Lamannia (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=178745) thread.

I'm not going to get into any trouble. Please look at the date of that post, then look at the earliest date I could potentially have signed an NDA for the beta testing that may be occuring right now.

In otherwords, I posted the information in quesiton when they (Turbine) publicly previewed the content formerly known as "Mod 9" in April/May during the initial Lamannia preview.

Though you my friend could be in violation of an NDA if you are under it, by correcting the information posted by Dragon.Star and myself almost 2 months ago.

Consider your suggest/request taken well under advisement. I'll see what I can do during my free time. Rating Collectables is not necessarily as easy as it sounds. I would be open to feedback/suggestions as to how to go about creating a versitle rating system that not only takes into consideration, what you could get for turning them in, but also the Stone of Change Crafting System and thier "Sale price on the Auction House"

What about the jewels, etc you get in maraud the mines? Is that something that can be traded in, or is it just a game error that I keep it after the quest?

I have listed every type of Collectable in this thread, with the possible exception of anything that may be coming/added with the next update, so it sounds like a bug to me. But Without re-running that quest myself, I could be certain. Can you send me a screen shot of it? But if it is the quest I'm thinking of, they are either quest items (which it would say in the item description or they are just gems that you can sell (most likely).

I believe your house D collectors are inacurate you can can also get Fox skills (+1/2/3) Knowlege (+1/2/3) and Health (+1/2/3).

The Fox's/Knowlege pots come from the same collector as Owls/Reason Guy

The Health the same as the Prowess. However I dont think Bears Skills exsits can anyone confirm this?

I had a Medium one on Llama, I think I was doing some House D "Depths" running.

Have one Small now on Cannith. I haven't been out of the Harbor/Market area much, so it probably fell out there somewhere. I didn't really make note of it at the time, so don't recall exactly which quest it was in.

Not a great help, but maybe narrowed the scope a little.

That does help, thanks. I haven't seen hide nor hair of them on the live servers yet, so I was starting to wonder if I was looking in all the wrong places. They must just be pretty rare (makes sense for the rewards they give).

If I had to hazzard a guess, I'd say that the Eberron Fragments probably drop in quests based off the areas where their collectors are found. So Small Fragments would be in the Harbor and Marketplace Quests.

Again as you find these things please let me know so we can track their locations and get some good data.

Hi, so there is no further info regarding eberron dragonshard turn ins?

I was checking the list and was intrigued by a few entries, so I went to check them out closer. You might want to update your list:

Shard Trinket of Mass Cure Critical Wounds (Get this from Chirugeon Laj'amal)
Shard Trinket of Sunburst (Get this from Flintchip Fireson)

I suppose all those Shard Trinkets are one shot uses.

I got 3 mediums on a new toon Im leveling on Cannith, and as such, to help out, I would normally get the one regarding Mnemonic Enhancement and send a screenshot, but its a non spell caster toon, and since this stuff seems to be bound to character.... I will just auction them off! The money I will get for them will be far more useful than a one shot wonder trick.

edit. oh, and at least 2 of the 3 mediums I have got came from Tangleroot runs.

I turned in 3 small eberron fragments to Xovun Chalk for a 6hr 10% XP boost elixir. He then asked me a question about heating 4 vials, and if I could figure out the correct temperature. I didn't know what was going on, so I tabbed out to search here and ddowiki. No luck. The question was something like "the temperatures are based on a mathematical formula. What's the fourth temperature? The first three are 4, 3, and 3. The answers were in the 2-5 range I believe. Right as I tabbed back to just take a guess, he said I took too long and quit the conversation.

Any idea what I missed out on? I still received the elixir noted above.

Also the question is random and you can't seem to google it, as it times out rather fast. So think fast or guess. When I tried to cheat, it was timed out when i came back, think its within 2minuits.

Well you have stuff like this wrote in:
# Medium Experience Elixir - (Misc) Medium Learning Boost (Get this from Xovun Chalk) (Answer: 27)

That implies that the answer is always 27, and that you must get it right to get the elixir.. Neither is true.
As i've said, the question asked is random, there are dozens of possible correct answers, most of the time there will not be any 27 option at all. And the reward for getting it right is not the elixir, you get that before he even asks - it's always 1 pathetic random loot - for this particular turn in - always a weak no ml robe, like lesser resist or 1x clicky or jump.

Is there more info on these "Shard Trinkets" tha you turn 3 small eberron shard to get. I have 2 small shards and had no clue what they were for until finding this thread.. Are they really one shot items?? Like 3 small shards = one CSW healing? if so, what's the point I could just buy a pot for as rare as these seem to be.

Any answer on this as yet?

Any answer on this as yet?

As I mentioned on this weeks DDOCast, I am still loooking for a lot more information on these items. I've only managed to collect 3 small shards myself.

I turned them into Xovun Chalk in the Marketplace, and Received a Medium XP Potion (10%), though I forget the duration off the top of my head. The answer to his Question: 10, 8, 7 X, was 6.5 and I got a Mobile Robe (4001gp value, granting Mobility Feat)

As I mentioned in that post, all that information was from the Lamannia Beta Server, and that in formation was only form the Beta server.

I'll be sure to update the answer part, and make some more distinct notes as to what I'm looking for.

I have always loved this thread, but in perusing it on several occasions I have noticed what I believe to be a typo in the main body of the list and am just now getting around to mentioning it.

Mark of the Keeper --- 2 --- +2 Ammunition or +1 Returning Ammunition w/ or w/o a special Metal property

should be

Mark of the Keeper --- 2 --- +2 Ammunition or +1 Returning Weapons w/ or w/o a special Metal property

shouldn't it?

/fixed this. Totally my bad.

I'm not sure what i just traded him....just doing the "take what you want option" but Kipling Vranch gave me an Elixir of Minor Mnemonic Enhancement. Methinks maybe the tables have changed/been expanded?

I've been continuing to turn in collectables and this time I'm doing them bit at a time and paying attention. Good little data miner that I am. Here are the deviations I have noticed from your list.

Yannick Drumboom: 2 Marks of the Keeper: 20 +1 Flaming Throwing Daggers
Goldscuttle: 2 Small Wooden Idols: 20 +1 Shuriken
Goldscuttle: 2 Small Wooden Idols: 20 +1 Throwing Axes
Goldscuttle: 2 Small Wooden Idols: 20 +1 Cold Iron Shuriken
Goldscuttle: 2 Small Wooden Idols: 20 +1 Throwing Hammers

I realize you aren't going to list each potential item you could pull, but I am listing all the deviations I have pulled so that you can clearly see what general descriptors might need to be added. (i.e +1 Thwrowing Weapons w/ or w/o a special Metal property).

As always. Love this thread, and just a final parting thought. It only stays definitive if it keeps up with the changes. !)

Very True, that last part.

As for the Special Metal Properties, you are correct, Cold Iron is one of them. When I posted that, I didn't want to chew up a lot of space listing every one, but purhaps I should now. I'll try ot do that tonight if I get the chance when I get home. But for now, it is time to pack up, her eat work, and get home to play some DDO (I hope).

I'm not saying you should. What I am saying is that as it is listed in the Thread,

Small Wooden Icon --- 2 --- +1 Ammunition

says nothing about thrown weapons of any sort (like some of your later listings do).
Not trying to be ticky. I seem to recall a day when Wooden Icons only gave +1 ammo. That's why I listed the "new" pulls I've been getting.

Most awesome and most often referenced thread!

I turned in 3 medium eberron shards to Tara Wrightraven and got a Major XP elixir (+20% xp for 6 hrs). Formula question was 10, 8, 7, ?; answer 6.5. She gave +1 arrows of Evil Outsider Bane.
I gave 3 small eberron shards to Xovun Chalk and got a Medium XP elixir (+10% for 6 hrs). Took too long for the formula answer & he timed out (pretty sure it was less than 2 min).

Unfortunately, I didn't get screenshots; no cupcakes for me!

**** DATA CALL **** I am looking for some more data as to what they give you if you successfully complete the formula for them

I turned in some medium fragments to Tara, recieved my major xp elixir, and received 20 +1 bolts of evil outsider bane.

I turned in some small fragments to xovun chalk, and recieved my medium xp elixirs.
One correct answer gave me a robe of light fort, and another game me a robe of lesser sonic resist.
Umm one number set was 6 16 46, with the answer 136. I don't remember the other ones.

Turned in 3 small Eberron fragments to Rudolf Rightman (guide still says Giles Goodman) for small shard trinket (http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Item:Small_Shard_Trinket) of cure serious wounds.
First 3 numbers of formula was 8, 12, 18. Answer was 27.
Recieved Boots of Elvenkind (Move Silently +1).

I've been pulling silver flame hymnals from the pirate challenge quest in 3BC in the area just before the giant mechanical hound.

I have found that you can quickly make runs for the silver flame hymnals in TR. If you want to solo it, you simply get to the part of the quest line where you have to make the run to inner gate, then enter another part of the quest. (I think it's part 5 or so). The trick is to hit that first bookcase just past the 1st gong after the spiders. Once you do that, just run to the end thru the gate and then recall out after you go thru. It will immediately reset the quest and you repeat until you have what you need. Sometimes they drop fast, sometimes it takes a long time, but it is the best solo run I've found. Hope it helps.

Yesterday my level 5 got a Prayer Bead from a scorpion in The Smuggler's Warehouse. I was very surprised.

Thanks to The Cataclysm for helping to identify some new collectables and rewards coming with Update 7. Please see his Update 7 Named Item thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=275755) for more info and screen shots of the two new rewards. I will post more information about who is collecting the Vials of Heavy Water and Ritual Candles and where they are located, after the Update goes live (if not before hand, I just haven't had much time to get onto Lamannia yet myself).

Collectable Turn Ins
Defensive Potion of Wonder - Potion, Wondrous Power (2 Vials of Heavy Water)
Offensive Potion of Wonder - Potion, Wondrious Power (3 ritual candles)

Note: These potions of Wonderous Power are guarenteed to provide a benefitical effect upon consumption, unlike the standard Potion of Wonderous Power.

I have info on the Small Shard Trinket so others can see what it does and the item I got for completing the formula question for Rudolf Rightman after shard exchange. I didn't search all the way though this thread so I appologize for any duplicate info I am submitting.

Tempertures 6, 16, 46, ? (136) --> Cloak of Reflex Save +1

Small Shard Trinket: 20 charges of Cure Serious Wounds, Caster Level 7 - Does not recharge!!!

Hope this helps :)

[QUOTE=Steiner-Davion;1818712]Module 9 Introduces 3 Types of Ebberon Dragon Shard Collectables: Small, Medium and Large.

Small Eberron Dragonshard Fragments Turn-Ins (3 each)

Shard Trinket of Cure Serious Wounds (Get this from Giles Goodman)
Rest of Eladrin Statuette (http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/jgould2005/DDO/Items/Lamannia/RestoftheEladrinStatuette.jpg) - (Misc) Rest of the Eladrin (Get this from Peta Flashpin)
Medium Experience Elixir (http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/jgould2005/DDO/Items/Lamannia/MediumExperienceElixir.jpg) - (Misc) Medium Learning Boost (Get this from Xovun Chalk) confirmed Live post Mod 9/Update 0/Re-launch/
