Is this going to be an issue at level 16? For all types

TWF
PA/Str
WFin/Fist
ect...

I have a PA/Str style monk, I'm still getting continuous damage, not huge numbers, but a constant stream.

even at level 16, we (monks) are not going to crest the power curve DDO has laid before us.

at level 16 we'll do 2d10 19-20/X2 with imp. crit bludgeoning.

avg damage is 11 for 18 hits (198) + 22 points for two hits (44) = 242 over 20 hits. 12.2/hit avg.

Khopesh does 1d8 17-20/X3 with imp. crit slashing.

avg damage is 5 for 16 hits, (80) + 15 points for 4 hits (60) = 140 over 20 hits. 7.0/hit avg.

When you add in weapon enhancement damage (+1-+5) specialization bonuses, and all other bonuses that are multiplied by the weapon's crit multiplier, the khopesh beats HtH monk damage hands down.

We'll persevere though, wait till drunken master enhancements come out, and see hom many will worship Shaamis the Drunken-Style master!

Monks compete in the damage department well vs S&B users from other classes.

They don't compete well vs THF users or TWF users.

They are restricted to Kamas for TWF...and Quarterstaves for THF.

This severly hurts the monks DPS end game.

Since the highest damage (in most situations) in game currently comes from good TWF usage...monks fail miserably at high end DPS dealing.

They do have other things that compensate for it...but are currently super buggy in many ways...which is seriously annoying sometimes.
