View Full Version : Devs: Mod 7 info -2 things I would love to know now (Before time is wasted)

Before any time or effort is wasted on another chracter or another crafted raid item I was wondering if I could please get these 2 questions answered:

1) What craftable weapon/item blanks are you adding to the Shroud raid?
Example: "I don't want to make a shortsword now, only to find out you are adding rapiers in a few weeks."
Another example: "I have a dwarf I love to play, will any type of axes be added to the shroud raid"

2) Will we get an extra character slot?
example: "I don't want to create a new character now to play with my friends because I'm saving that slot for monk"
another example: "I am having a hard time figuring out which character I have invested so much time into I will have to delete"

Personally, if they add other weapons like rapiers and DON'T let us deconstruct our ****...well that would be the last straw for me. I spent considerable time making a radiance II SS for my rogue (when all along I wanted a rapier or a light pick). There's no way I am going through that again. It was their incompetence that created the problem, and I shouldn't get stuck with the solution. Not if they want to keep me as a subscriber that is.

keep your horns the devs stated in the DDOcast ask the devs that they will be highly valauble come mod 7

I have assumed other weapons will be added to the game at some point, so I have not bothered to make weapons for my dwarven axe and scimitar users. Taking the patient approach...

I also am taking the approach don't craft if an item doesn't fit my specific build. Both my scimitar wielders have yet to make a blank for this reason. When they make the announcement no more new blanks then I will decide what to do but until then... I wait patiently.

I have heard rumors that the horns will be used to de-construct items...no idea if thats true or not - hence the RUMOR....

In the DDOCast interview, they simply stated that there will be a use come mod 7 and that they will be worth keeping. no word on what the use is.

Heh ...it has nothing to do with incompetence...and it's not a problem. It was a conscious decision to leave off some of the item types. It's sad that they left off the ones that you wanted to make, but you made the decision to go ahead and craft something you didn't really want because you couldn't wait.

Dev's please do tell us about the character slot.

As for the new craftable items...please do not. Part of the whole fun of the crafting system is the discovery of how things fit together. In fact, please provide minimual guidance on recipes beyond what alter things go into. Do not confirm that all recipes are known by the players (if in fact they are). Keep quiet on this please.

...It would be very useful to know if we get an extra character slot. Right now I have three mules and I would have to delete one, and that is a non-trivial task probably requiring a few hours at least. I'd prefer not to spend the first few hours of mod 7 release mailing items around my characters...

That - or let me pay 5dollars for an extra slot :)

We already know they should be adding some monk weapons (kamas, staves).

I personally doubt any additional weapons (rapiers, axes, etc.) will be added.

The fact that the included khopeshs in the list of craftable items when they were already broken and mostly superior to everything else, means they should throw in other weapons as well. I'm serious, it was a complete blunder to include khopeshs when they had an opportunity to rebalance by excluding them from the shroud craftables.

Well I know what the horns are going to be used for, but the Developers love me, and hate you. HA HA.

According to the "Ask the Devs" segment of the latest DDOCast (http://www.ddocast.com) there is a planned use for the Splintered Horns and I quote "it will be much sought after" or something to that effect.
