My wishes for Mod 8

1- try to clear up all those pesky 'known issues' that have been hanging around.

2- do something with the auction house as a filter such as 'search for <stat> item that is at least + <some number> or <any/type of item> that has this <magical or non magical extra ability>

3 to make it easy on the Dev team, a non qulaifying <no dungeons need to be done to be raid ready> raid like tempest spine. Just one big long dungeon that 12 of us can enjoy. Even make it part of the story line, tempest spine II, the return of sorjek or something.

4- Add a whole slew of dungeons that are a bit generic in nature, using the existing mobs and graphics. Make like 30 or 40 of them. Come up with cool things or just plain hack and slash. Add a ton of dungeons at all levels...and a bunch at high level just for looting and fun. A mod with 15 dungeons from 15 to 18th level would be awesome. Even if they are little ones like the giant caves used to be.

5- give the designers something to do and add body changing effects like skinny and fat and muscular and all that at generation. That would be cool.

6- I know you are all about crafting, but can we just skip it this mod?

Make mod 8 known as 'the content mod' where you just blow everyone out of the water with sheer numbers of dungeons. All the news sites would talk about the explosion of content, no one would get bored, there would be more than enough content to make everyone happy til next mod....and even the old players will be hard pressed to run them all.

They do not all have to be long and drawn out, we like short ones too.

And add mimics for chests. High level mimics.

And a flying carpet for house p 400 favor, carries 6.

I just hope the latest poll does not mean they are going to waste a lot of time implementing a new PVP system.

In the poll I rated that dead last ... If I wanted to PVP I would play a game that is built for PvP mechanics.

DDO is supposed to be a team/group game not an "every man for himself" griefing system.

I hate PvP :(

Totally agree Jarlaxle... PVP was bottom on my survey.

Amen Brotha!!!

I'd love to see a ton of new quests, and I'll sign that petition any day:)

Most of your hopes I see as pretty reasonable. I don't think we'll ever get another mod with 20+ quests, but here's hoping. :)

Would love a mod with 15-30 quests, with a majority of them at high level.

Would definitely love another TS style raid.

I'm mainly just hoping to see druids for mod 8. And that they implement stuff for the different druid sects like they did for faith enhancements.

Already have the name Boarforged Broken Path set aside for my wf druid of the broken path.

While it would be nice I dont see getting druids in the mod after we get Monks

resounding.

If I wanted PvP I would play Halo or Halflife or some other PvP specific game.

This is D&DO... a PvE environment. Let's focus on that shall we? If we are to have PvP, let it be in a Quest format, like the main antagonist in his chamber above the quest trying to kill the party of adventurers using limited equipment and levers and such.

especially more non flag 12 man TS style. No need to tie this all together with moons and liches and BS. And another dragon would be nice, like the ones in Tor, but without the gay simul kill giant.

Here's some more ideas:

Non-slaughter based quests. I'd love to see more quests done like Stealthy Repossession where cunning and guile get you to the end rather than brute force.

Selectable summons! Rather than forcing us to summon mostly evil creatures, give us a list similar to Resist Energy or Teleport to chose from 3 or 4 creatures. In PnP summoning an evil creature means the spell is evil and casting this repeatedly threatens changing a cleric's alignment thus losing his spells and abilities.

Speaking of clerics: Rebuke Undead! Make an AoE charm effect only on undead, but with the right mechanics, you'd only 'charm' a limited number of HD preventing it from being over-powered. I don't even care if it comes with the ability to auto-prep inflict spells rather than cure (though that would be cool too). And it should only be available to Neutral clerics (since evil is not an option) thus making it a character's life choice and thereby permanent.

Just a few thoughts I had.

I like a small number of such quests being made. It's difficult at higher level, however, where characters not built for stealth cannot be buffed up enough to be anything but a hindrance.

Last thing I'd want is a quest where the ranger and rogue solo it and the other 4 sit in at the entrance twiddling their thumbs for the favor. It'd be Coalescence Chamber all over again (although that's soloed by the arcane)

One thing I'd be a huge fan of is quests where cunning and guile get you to extra chests. Think how Rainbow (or before it Cabal) has chests designed for the trapsmith - adding some chests that can be obtained only by slaying 5 or less foes total in a quest, for instance, could make for an interesting challenge.

Actually my ranger already solos alot of the content out there including coal. Ran that just yesterday to help a group out and ended up pretty much soloing it because friend and a couple others in group where in a hurry.
