Ok, the water rooms have been bugged for 2 mods now. Is there a fix
for them in the works?


I am just curious if you changed something, because this quest worked
fine when it was first released.


I know the quest is still completeable, but it is still broken the way it currently
is.



The bug is this:

You go into one of the water rooms and you go to a DOOM, Quake style view
and you can go through walls and stuff, but you can't get the gear in that
room. You can also be attacked by monsters that you cannot even see.

Still bugged after last update. I done couple run yersterday and one member was in bugged room. I do run with maps ( 3 instances so far). Bug happens when you trying to leave water room ( some exits works but most of them lead into bugged room). So best way is to use DD. Only one map have exit to levers through water room. I usually leave water rooms untill end --so if bug happens mobs cannot kill you. But this works better if you have maps instead of random teleport.

Btw not many ppl know how to do torches in rooms. To know the order there is tip : look up for heads - some of them have water running - some of them not.

I got a fix for this put in, believe it is in the build coming with M7.

For now, just back up, hit the teleport volume behind you, and you'll get zapped somewhere else and be ok.

That works... eventually.

It does seem that it gets worse the longer you're in there. I start hitting strings of 6-7 bugged rooms in a row.

Not that you don't know that.

But, I really hope that M7 fix gets it fixed, cuz it makes this quest a lot harder than it should be.

after you grab the crystal use dimension door to exit the room... NEVER leave the water rooms by any other means.

yes, this means you need to have a person capable of ddooring because the 2 charges won't last for the average of 3 water rooms, oh well, you wanted them anyways :)

Cool, finally!

Since Mod 5 this has been the single best XP quest in the entire game for characters in the level 7-9 range. 15k XP for a 30 min run on normal (assuming an experienced leader but inexperienced players). Looking forward to it being even more playable :D
