View Full Version : Working on Custom Skin

This is sort of a dark wizard look I got going here. It's not complete, but I thought I'd post some shots of it to share my ideas and encourage other people to share ideas from what they're working on.

Some fun little ideas I've hadso far:
-add little pictures, like the skull and dagger, and the plant on the focus orb
-replace the dice with custom pictures (eg. shiny skulls)
-added little fish swimming in the breath meter.
-graphics to make it more clear which hotbar is active (green outline and little green glowy light)

And now a screenshot or two:

Known issues:
-leaving the skin active when logging off, often means the map will not function at all next time logging back on. Go back to default skin (none) close game, and log back on.
-need to change contrast and/or brightness on Eberron Cosmology graphic to be able to read total price in vendor window.

Here's the link to the download (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info171-DarkWizard.html)

I really like some of the ideas I saw the dream catcher theme that's been posted there.

The fish on the breath meter is a wonderful little detail. My Warforged often fail a will save quite often just to look at the little fishies swimming in the harbor. :D

Very cool Ghoste.

Only thing is I don't have the skull die when I choose darkwizard though.

How do I get the skull hit die?

Go to options panel and switch your dice color to opal. That's currently the only color supported. When they add the rest we'll be able to set a different graphic for each dice color in the same skin pack.

I would love to see a UI skin that lets you know when you hit Ransack and Conquest.

I really like the fact that the UI shows in Red the item or weapon currently used, very handy!
