View Full Version : Somewhere I can call home

At the end of a long loot run or after finishing up an exhaustive Von run, I always feel like there should be somewhere in game that I can call my home. Logging out from one of the various taverns in a public area has always felt kinda unfinished to me. I would love to see player instance housing in DDO. To not over complicate things, just make the player houses exactly like any quest instance. Inside would be a banker, vendor, and preist (with the possibilites of more- PVP, etc). If I wanted to invite friends to my house, I could create a group or raid group to join me for a meeting or fun (bank is tied to grp leader's account and only openable by him).

Just a thought on how player housing could be brought into the game using the same mechanics that currently exist and using very little development time Essentially, it would be like creating a peronal tavern where I could retire for the evening.

Oh give me a home where the flesh renders roam and the wheeps and the hobgoblins play..

Kobold Island always worked for me when I needed a private place to call home. It even comes complete with pests. :p

Funny you should mention Kobold Island. I've been playing since launch and I just discovered that yesterday when I was completing some of the goodblade quests for favor.

Imagine a castle set within Kobold Island, what a view!! I would'nt mind making the run back to the Harbor if I could kick back in a place like that!!

Also, imagine if PVP was allowable. You could bring a group of up to 12 and either team up or have a free for all.

For me, the Pool of Reflection is my 'home'. That place is just awesome.
