I find it hard to believe Cat would let anyone drive her mad for long......before she strangles them.

BTW ... I drive an iron horse (very little parking space in NY, most of us use mass transit)

2000 Honda Civic 4-door stick shift

My problem free experiences with this car has inspired others to get Honda's :) Taught my son how to drive on this car - he's now a USMC that drives all day. Only major repair (aside from breaks, batteries, tires, oil changes) was that I had to replace the entire transmission after teaching said teenager to drive :)

Don't really have a concern about buying a foriegn car - it was probably assembled in the US (3 of 4 civics are assembled in the US)and therefore an American got a paycheck for working on my car - that means more to me than if the corporate headquarters are in the US or not.

Funny you should mention that.......

1972 Gremlin X, with a 304 V8 & 4-speed manual. Engine modified to the point where it does about a 12-sec. 1/4 mile, and flat black paint with plain wheels (keeps it unkeyed in the neighbourhood in which
I live :D)

Daily driver/winter beater: 1994 Mazda MX-6 V6 24v with many key scratches (thus the flat black

My favorite car that I have owned was a 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R. Was just perfectly balanced and responsive. Would race it in auto racing clubs at old airports and such, and routinely beat cars of twice the horsepower.

Live in NYC now, so car ownership is all a distant memory.

my car is a truck... 2001 Land Rover Discovery II SE7... i love it. cart the kids all over in that thing and never have to worry about getting stuck anywhere. course... we are in the process of trying to sell it and i'm going to miss it... :( now you made me cry :(

the "other" care is a 1997 volvo AWD wagon.... nothing fancy but safe for the kids, has the all wheel drive, only 60k miles on it, and hey! it was free!!!

I cant afford to drive, it interrupts me from playing DDO, and doing school.

When I have to though I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT outside..... I have put less than 6 thousand miles on it (and 3500 of them was in 1 trip.)

Dude... my 2003 A4 with the Tiptronic is so much more fun than I ever had with a manual. The whole concept of being in a 35 mph zone and turning right while downshifting without ever hitting the brakes makes the morning commute oh so much fun.

Other than that, I have an 86 Chevy K5 Blazer with a rebuilt 350 and ginormous tires. It's what my inner geek drives when he's trying to be tough. If you don't know what a K5 is... imagine a full size Tahoe with only two doors.

Currently, I drive a 1999 Chevy Blazer that was purchased new. It now has over 113k miles and I am considering trading it in for something else... can't deceide what.

I used to have a 1995 Camaro Z28 with a manual transmission, but I had to get rid of it for the Blazer when my son was born. Still miss that car... but, on the plus side, the deal I worked out with the wife was I could buy an old Corvette.

Two years after my son was born, I bought a 1969 Corvette Stingray numbers matching 427/4-sp coupe. I've been slowly fixing it up. I had the engine rebuilt so that I don't have to worry about lead additives anymore. The guy who rebuilt it claims it puts out about 450 hp... although I've not put in on a dyno yet. That thing is a beast, no power steering, no power brakes, no A/C, just all motor! Really brings a smile to my face when I chirp the tires in all four gears.

The wife drives a 2003 Lexus ES300. Traded in a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT for the Lexus. She likes the car, but its not my style.

How moderne. I'm glad you like it but I am sticking with standards till the day they stop selling them.

My next car will (I hope) be a bluetec diesel with a standard transmission. That means a Jetta right now (A German Jetta, thank god - something is not right with the plant in Mexico), or an Accord if they really bring the diesel accord to the States in '09.

A 97 Ford Escort Wagon for getting from home to the office, or to hockey practice when there's just a couple of us.
A 2005 Pontiac Montana mini-van for when its the whole herd. We FILL that thing up, me, wife, 5 kids and not a spare seat. Should we have any more kids the next vehicle will be a short bus.

BTW, if you want to show the world you are a virile manly man, a sports car works, but not as well as a mini-van crammed full of the fruits of your loins.
