Ok, so I ran with a lowbie group on a character of mine who was self healing (a ranger). Another player in the group though was a warforged whose only self healing was through potions. So this guy asks the sorcerer in the group if he/she has any repair wands. Yes. The sorcerer also makes it clear he/she is not one of those who cant handle doing the sorc thing, and keep an eye on the warforged player's health. He/she even asked for a cash donation, and that the warforged player would get their money's worth. I also gave him a repair moderate wand with 20 charges, since I couldn't use it anyways. So we ran through WW and some other quests with that group, and guess who ends up doing almost all the healing of the warforged? Me, with my cure wands.

This friggin sorc was a nosepicker without even knowing it! How can somebody give a big old speech like that and then...nothing?! How can you possibly know yourself that poorly?

Well, mister sorc. If you happen to read this, know that you do not in fact repair warforged. Know that, yes, you are a nose picker. Your repair wand still has all the charges on it that it did when you first bought it, but is now covered in snot. No, it did not magically regain its charges, you just never used any. It's kind of hard to aim that wand at a warforged when it's lodged so deeply up your friggin nose, isn't it?

Maybe he wasn't picking his nose with the wand. Maybe he thought it was a wand of Repair Moderate Brain Damage. :D

Cuz they're too busy caressing their brains with their fingers in their nostrils. :)

~sigh~ reminds me of the other day on my Bard...joined a tap run group in the Orchard. A friend of mine was already in the group on his warforged. I sent a tell to my friend that if he needed me to repair him I would but I had forgotten to pick up a new repair wand after I used the last one up. He told me no worries, as he had just given a repair serious one to the caster. So we get started in the tap runs. I keep noticing my friends health bars going down and down, to about halfway. Not so bad as hes quite a tank, but still has my "healer side" concerned. It goes down even more, with him getting it up a bit by drinking a pot. I say in group voice chat to the caster that if he needs me to repair so and so, so he can concentrate on his casting it's not a problem. Nothing happens, no response from him. More battles going on, with me having to use a few charges of a cure wand on my friend to ensure he doesnt die. Finally, he asks the person to give him the repair wand back, and then and only then does the guy repair my friend. Oi!!!!!

one way to solve that problem is to not use your wands until after the caster uses his first, and only rarely then when the forge is dying and needs extra healing.. you might even have to have the forge die and get rezzed for the caster to realize that he now has a secondary job

if anything, the group will get upset with the caster for letting the forge die and find a new caster
