Hehe, I love all these builds with no combat skills for the first three levels....I assume the player of this character is planning to level up by standing in the dungeon entrance while someone else does the quest? ;)

Not much difference between a level 1 bard and a level 1 fighter.. gear matters more at that point. That said they certainly wont want to solo too much.

Well, in this case, the level 1 bard has 8 str & expeditious retreat as its only spell, which was what caught my eye when I made the comment. That and taking sorc at level 2 means they will be level 3 before they get their first +1 to BAB (remember how painfully slowly you swing your weapon before you get that first +1?)

Yes I do : ) But sacrifeces were made :P I mainly just back up healed for a few levels.

I suppose that makes sense, given a guild or higher level character to provide equipment. A steady supply of wands & scrolls, and that expeditious retreat spell makes it a lot easier to keep up with the group powerleveling you through the dungeon at warp speed ;)

Its really not that hard to get past the first few levels. Heck, I soloed to level 4 with my low strength/high dex pure rogue in a few hours the other night. And since a rogue can't take Weapon Finesse at level 1, let's just say that my to-hit was pretty lack luster for the first couple levels. :)

I think that pretty much any build can solo the first few levels. Especially if you know the quests pretty well.

Hello; Nice thread and some great advice from what I've read. I wanted to get input on a bard/rogue/fighter build. I was looking for crowd control and healing using spells and wands, disabling traps and being a support the heavy hitting tanks in the group as a support fighter. Any suggestions would be great!
