/sarcasm on
I'm a genious. Let me tell you why.
/forgot to turn it sarcasm off

We all hate those guys that just **** on another thread for no reason, yet we all do it at some point. I've done it a few times. So here's a thread in which you can let it all out. There are rules, though.

1) You must keep the topic you are flaming about as vague as possible, while still righting about it.

2) You must keep names out of it.

That's about it, I guess. :/ Came up with this on the fly.

This way, if you ever feel the urge to 'express your opinion,' you post it here, instead, leaving the other's post spot free.

This shoudl be stikied :P

Everyone keep an eye open on the trade forums. Someone poached me, so I'm looking to return the favor. When I see that person offer to sell/trade something I have in stock, I am SO gonna undercut that poacher. Should work into a nice deal for whomever is trying to buy.

I think we should all start posting threads like this (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?&postid=1387760#post1387760), in protest of the slippery forum changes. While I certainly agree that a certain guild pushed the envelope (and had the envelope pushed by others) with the latest forum/abbott drama, not being able to post accomplishments is a hindrance to the community.

There should be a rule that if you report someone and the admins don't agree with you, then you get an infraction point. I suspect the admins are just sick of the out of control reporting and are taking drastic measures (on the wrong side) to reduce it.

The other night I was competing with another group looking for a cleric for the beholder portion of the pre-raid. They opened their group up to include a bard as well. It took a notable amount of self control to not have my L14 bard mule (on a 2nd acct/2nd comp) join their group. I can't say the other guy's name, but dude, it was a lot of fun changing our LFM messages in response to each other. :D

Wait, was I only supposed to drop in flamebait?

It's cause you're a little bit slow. Don't worry, everyone is at some point in their life. Let me dumb it down a bit. I'll post it in steps.

1) You open up your browser
2) You type in www.ddo.com
3) You open up the forums window
4) You go to respective forum (i.e Kyber)
5) You browse through posts, reading what's going on and who's trading what.
6) You find a post that you strongly disagree with, and want so badly to post something that will either be labeled a 'flame', or you being a general ass.
7) Rather than posting it in that forum, effectively 'flaming' that thread. Or otherwise causing unwanted attention to an otherwise ligit thread (i.e ruining a auction, or posting how so 'n so's stratigy is 'teh suck' and he should quit) You post it in this thread.
8) In posting it in this thread, you follow the two rules.
8a) First ruling being you make the post as vague as possible, while still sticking to the subject of the post you intended to flame. (i.e 'I read a strat today that was friggen stupid..someone shoot him', instead of 'I read JowBlow's Post about the strategy to the Goodblade's Quest, and I for one think that he should be shot twice in the balls, and once in the head.)
8b) Leaving any names out of the post. Period. Dont even make up names. Don't put in guild names, don't put in anything that sort of resembles a name.
9) After finishing the post in which you might have posted on the forum in question, you hit the 'submit reply' button.
10) You close your browser.
11) You do something else until you feel the need to return to www.ddo.com

It's kind of a way to post out those flames, but to do so in pseudo-secret.

It's also a post just to bring a little excitment into my boring existance on DDO

There was nothing the least bit "slippery" about the forum changes. The were, in fact, not changes at all...but simply the correct decision to enforce rules that were already in place. If somebody doesn't like it, bad news for him...this is policy, so get behind it.

It's a shame this wasn't enforced when the Reavers Raid first came out. We could have used this tool to fight a super-obnoxious Riedra guild that became infamous for their over-boasting.

There is a notice that you can receive repercussions if you use the reporting tool improperly. The people who complained did not receive infraction points because the didn't DESERVE any. They were well within their rights...and the abusers were totally guilty of every complaint waged against them.

The Cube was absolutely right in his decision and the actions he took (including one apparent total ban) to correct this annoying issue.

I have got to say that you helped this forum ban/new rules come into effect goolan with your avid flaming of them. Maybe this certain guild is superobnoxious - in the end who cares...

What you refer to as "flaming" never exceeded simple sarcasm. I never once received even the slightest warning from the moderators. I just HATE braggers, even though the Cold Children may have things to brag about. Bragging is just rude and obnoxious, and it (thankfully) has no place on the forums.

Maybe you don't have anny infractions cause you have Special reporting points for complaning.... I mean reporting.

P.S. not flaming,...just sarcasm :)

Man, something I thought was simple in design, must be insanely conplex. Either that, or people just don't care. It has to be the 'don't care' part, cause that's just how it works.

This was suppose to be a 'catch all' for flame posts, etc. Look at the title it's a bin. A storage spot, a container, something with a lid that is used to store something else. In this case, naughty posts so that the origional posts can remain clean.

Think of it as a black hole for naughty posts. You think about posting something bad in a trade post, yet you feel gravitated to post it here instead, thus saving that trade post.

Clearly the OP is a genius in all things (except grammar, spelling, quality character creation, etc.). My question is where can I go to “flame” this thread? If you wouldn’t mind OP, could you create another catch-all flame thread specifically for this catch-all flame thread, so that I could go there and flame this thread.

What can I say, I type so fast that I make errors, and even though I notice some (if not most of them) I'm too lazy to go back in an edit them. I figure you guys are (hopefully) intelligent enough to know that errors occur.

Quite obviously, you are not that intelligent; and it is because you are not that intelligent, that I will gladly give you a few pointers every now and then, to help remind you that - even though you are a grammer expert - you are still, in fact, as stupid as a braindead 5th grader on crack.

Your first lesson to wrap your brain around will be this:

Trying to attack someone on the forums, one of which constitutes for a great deal of people, no doubt; and attempting to do so by attacking their grammer is a sign of mental retardation.

The mere fact that this is a forum for a game, and not a lesson on how using the ellipsies in any document is not a profesional way to go about forming a document, should have been a clear answer to you.

I expect you to get over that one in about a years time, if you still have remembered my handle, please contact me for your second lesson. Good luck to you.

I've thought about that one, and it eludes even me, the genius of all things (Except grammer, spelling, quality character creation, etc.). The only answer I can give, is to post it here. I do not mind the attacks against myself, I do enjoy people who fight back. After all, this is suppose to be where you reply with such comments.

They are mostly my words. You cut out the part that seperates me from him, in order to make it include all of us. Though this statement is still true, (I am a ****** for attacking on the forums) it is still not the words I used.

Thank Lits, for shining light on the error of my ways. I shall strike back no more.

Edit: I can't help it..one last thing:

By the way Litz, you might want to change 'you're' to 'your.' Or else Alterboy might start humping your leg, and calling you grammer illiterate too. Don't be cursed like me, and have this ****** bag correcting your every word for the rest of your life.

Dammit, Qwijymart is not a front for plat farmers!

No, you do NOT get heal scrolls for cheaper with your 40 haggle. Stop arguing facts with me and get your lazy can to House J to check for yourself! (Note: one guy actually did this, found out the facts, and came back and admitted so in general chat. Props.)

Will Mr IL ever stop gnawing on his ER bone? I half expect to see him posting about it in some other game's forum 20 years from now. "Back when DDO was around, there was one certain guild on Riedra that thought it blah blah blah I, the mighty Goober, smote them with one strike of the enter key! They were fat kids in their dad's basement! They still are!"

You... yeah you... the one who looted the cleric gloves on his pure barbarian... I shall name my next turd after you.

Yes, I could use voice chat. But you wouldn't hear me. Yes, my gain is all the way up. Yes, I have my mic boost on. Yes, yes yes. DDO voice chat doesn't like my voice, that's why I type. Works great on any other voice chat... teamspeak, vent... but not DDO chat. Sorry man.

To the guy who decided not to shop at Qwijymart because I don't join parties so they can talk... first of all, my LFG is my open sign. Second, that's my laptop, I don't plug speakers into it and the onboard ones are kinda crappy. Third, see above... DDO voice chat doesn't like me - not even on my laptop's mic. Finally... if you hate typing so much, what the hell are you doing playing a game on a computer? You think I need your plat? Qwijymart isn't about money, it's about RP... thank you, don't come again.

Thanks, Azor. I needed that :D
